¹Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;

¹大衛的詩，交給詩班長。耶和華啊！求你拯救我脫離惡人，求你保護我脫離強暴的人。

²Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war.

²他們心中圖謀惡事，整天挑啟爭端。

³They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.

³他們使自己的舌頭尖利，如同蛇的舌頭；他們嘴裡有虺蛇的毒。（細拉）

⁴Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.

⁴耶和華啊！求你保護我脫離惡人的手，保護我脫離強暴的人，因為他們圖謀推倒我。

⁵The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.

⁵驕傲的人暗中布下陷阱害我，他們在路旁張開繩索作網，設下圈套陷害我。（細拉）

⁶I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.

⁶我曾對耶和華說：“你是我的　神；耶和華啊！求你留心聽我懇求的聲音！”

⁷O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

⁷主耶和華，拯救我的力量啊，在爭戰的日子，你保護了我的頭。

⁸Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.

⁸耶和華啊！求你不要容惡人的心願得償，不要使他們的計謀成功，免得他們自高自大。（細拉）

⁹As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

⁹至於那些圍困我的人，願他們的頭被自己嘴唇的奸惡遮蓋。

¹⁰Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.

¹⁰願炭火落在他們身上；願他們掉在深坑裡，不能再起來。

¹¹Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

¹¹願搬弄是非的人在地上站立不住；願災禍連連獵取強暴的人。

¹²I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.

¹²我知道耶和華必為困苦人伸冤，必替窮乏人辨屈。

¹³Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

¹³義人必稱讚你的名，正直的人必住在你面前。
