2Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
2(H108:3)Herää, harppu, herää, lyyra, minä tahdon herättää aamuruskon!
3I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
3(H108:4)Herra, minä ylistän sinua kansojen keskellä, minä laulan kaikille kansoille sinun kiitostasi.
4For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
4(H108:5)Sinun armosi ulottuu yli taivaitten, sinun uskollisuutesi ylös pilviin.
5Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
5(H108:6)Jumala, kohotkoon kunniasi yli taivaitten, kirkkautesi yli kaiken maan!
6That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.
6(H108:7)Auta meitä väkevällä kädelläsi, pelasta ne, joita rakastat. Vastaa minulle!
7God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
7(H108:8)Jumala on puhunut pyhäkössään: "Riemuiten minä annan teille Sikemin, jaan teille Sukkotinlaakson.
8Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
8(H108:9)Minun on Gilead, minun on Manasse, Efraim on kypärä päässäni, Juuda on valtikkani.
9Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.
9(H108:10)Moab on pesuvatini, Edomiin minä heitän kenkäni, Filisteaa vastaan minä kohotan sotahuudon!"
10Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
10(H108:11)Kuka vie minut linnoitettuun kaupunkiin, kuka opastaa minut Edomiin?
11Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?
11(H108:12)Sinä, Jumala, olet hylännyt meidät etkä kulje sotajoukkomme mukana.
12Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
12(H108:13)Auta meitä, me olemme hädässä! Turha on ihmisten apu.
13Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
13(H108:14)Jumalan voimalla me teemme suuria tekoja, hän polkee maahan vihollisemme.
