1Dem Vorsänger. Von den Kindern Korahs. Ein Psalm. (H47-2) Klatscht in die Hände, ihr Völker alle! Jauchzet Gott mit fröhlichem Schall!
2For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
2(H47-3) Denn der HERR, der Höchste, ist zu fürchten, ein großer König über die ganze Erde.
3He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.
3(H47-4) Er wird die Völker unter uns zwingen und die Nationen unter unsre Füße.
4He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.
4(H47-5) Er wird uns unser Erbteil erwählen, den Stolz Jakobs, den er geliebt. (Pause.)
5God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
5(H47-6) Gott ist aufgefahren mit Jauchzen, der HERR mit dem Schall der Posaune.
6Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
6(H47-7) Lobsinget, lobsinget Gott! Lobsinget, lobsinget unserm König!
7For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.
7(H47-8) Denn Gott ist König der ganzen Erde; lobsinget andächtig!
8God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.
8(H47-9) Gott herrscht über die Völker, Gott sitzt auf seinem heiligen Thron.
9The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.
9(H47-10) Die Edlen der Völker haben sich versammelt zum Volk des Gottes Abrahams; denn Gott gehören die Schilde der Erde; er ist sehr erhaben.
