¹I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.

¹わたしはいつくしみと公義について歌います。主よ、わたしはあなたにむかって歌います。

²I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

²わたしは全き道に心をとめます。あなたはいつ、わたしに来られるでしょうか。わたしは直き心をもって、わが家のうちを歩みます。

³I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

³わたしは目の前に卑しい事を置きません。わたしはそむく者の行いを憎みます。それはわたしに付きまといません。

⁴A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

⁴ひがんだ心はわたしを離れるでしょう。わたしは悪い事を知りません。

⁵Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

⁵ひそかに、その隣り人をそしる者をわたしは滅ぼします。高ぶる目と高慢な心の人を耐え忍ぶ事はできません。

⁶Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

⁶わたしは国のうちの忠信な者に好意を寄せ、わたしと共に住まわせます。全き道を歩む者はわたしに仕えるでしょう。

⁷He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

⁷欺くことをする者はわが家のうちに住むことができません。偽りを言う者はわが目の前に立つことができません。わたしは朝ごとに国の悪しき者をことごとく滅ぼし、不義を行う者をことごとく主の都から断ち除きます。

⁸I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.
