¹Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.

¹主をほめたたえよ。主のしもべたちよ、ほめたたえよ。主のみ名をほめたたえよ。

²Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.

²今より、とこしえに至るまで主のみ名はほむべきかな。

³From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD's name is to be praised.

³日のいずるところから日の入るところまで、主のみ名はほめたたえられる。

⁴The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

⁴主はもろもろの国民の上に高くいらせられ、その栄光は天よりも高い。

⁵Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high,

⁵われらの神、主にくらぶべき者はだれか。主は高き所に座し、

⁶Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

⁶遠く天と地とを見おろされる。

⁷He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

⁷主は貧しい者をちりからあげ、乏しい者をあくたからあげて、

⁸That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

⁸もろもろの君たちと共にすわらせ、その民の君たちと共にすわらせられる。また子を産まぬ女に家庭を与え、多くの子供たちの喜ばしい母とされる。主をほめたたえよ。

⁹He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.
