¹I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.

²I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

²わたしはあなたの聖なる宮にむかって伏し拝み、あなたのいつくしみと、まこととのゆえに、み名に感謝します。あなたはそのみ名と、み言葉をすべてのものにまさって高くされたからです。

³In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.

³あなたはわたしが呼ばわった日にわたしに答え、わが魂の力を増し加えられました。

⁴All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.

⁴主よ、地のすべての王はあなたに感謝するでしょう。彼らはあなたの口のもろもろの言葉を聞いたからです。

⁵Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.

⁵彼らは主のもろもろの道について歌うでしょう。主の栄光は大きいからです。

⁶Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

⁶主は高くいらせられるが低い者をかえりみられる。しかし高ぶる者を遠くから知られる。

⁷Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

⁷たといわたしが悩みのなかを歩いても、あなたはわたしを生かし、み手を伸ばしてわが敵の怒りを防ぎ、あなたの右の手はわたしを救われます。主はわたしのために、みこころをなしとげられる。主よ、あなたのいつくしみはとこしえに絶えることはありません。あなたのみ手のわざを捨てないでください。

⁸The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
