¹Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

¹主よ、わたしはあなたに呼ばわります。すみやかにわたしをお助けください。わたしがあなたに呼ばわるとき、わが声に耳を傾けてください。

²Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

²わたしの祈を、み前にささげる薫香のようにみなし、わたしのあげる手を、夕べの供え物のようにみなしてください。

³Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

³主よ、わが口に門守を置いて、わがくちびるの戸を守ってください。

⁴Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

⁴悪しき事にわが心を傾けさせず、不義を行う人々と共に悪しきわざにあずからせないでください。また彼らのうまき物を食べさせないでください。

⁵Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

⁵正しい者にいつくしみをもってわたしを打たせ、わたしを責めさせてください。しかし悪しき者の油をわがこうべにそそがせないでください。わが祈は絶えず彼らの悪しきわざに敵しているからです。

⁶When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.

⁶彼らはおのれを罪に定める者にわたされるとき、主のみ言葉のまことなることを学ぶでしょう。

⁷Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.

⁷人が岩を裂いて地の上に打ち砕くように、彼らの骨は陰府の口にまき散らされるでしょう。

⁸But mine eyes are unto thee, O GOD the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

⁸しかし主なる神よ、わが目はあなたに向かっています。わたしはあなたに寄り頼みます。わたしを助けるものもないままに捨ておかないでください。

⁹Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.

⁹わたしを守って、彼らがわたしのために設けたわなと、悪を行う者のわなとをのがれさせてください。わたしがのがれると同時に、悪しき者をおのれの網に陥らせてください。

¹⁰Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.
