¹Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.

²Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

²わが王、わが神よ、わたしの叫びの声をお聞きください。わたしはあなたに祈っています。

³My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

³主よ、朝ごとにあなたはわたしの声を聞かれます。わたしは朝ごとにあなたのためにいけにえを備えて待ち望みます。

⁴For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

⁴あなたは悪しき事を喜ばれる神ではない。悪人はあなたのもとに身を寄せることはできない。

⁵The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

⁵高ぶる者はあなたの目の前に立つことはできない。あなたはすべて悪を行う者を憎まれる。

⁶Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

⁶あなたは偽りを言う者を滅ぼされる。主は血を流す者と、人をだます者を忌みきらわれる。

⁷But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

⁷しかし、わたしはあなたの豊かないつくしみによって、あなたの家に入り、聖なる宮にむかって、かしこみ伏し拝みます。

⁸Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

⁸主よ、わたしのあだのゆえに、あなたの義をもってわたしを導き、わたしの前にあなたの道をまっすぐにしてください。

⁹For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

⁹彼らの口には真実がなく、彼らの心には滅びがあり、そののどは開いた墓、その舌はへつらいを言うのです。

¹⁰Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

¹⁰神よ、どうか彼らにその罪を負わせ、そのはかりごとによって、みずから倒れさせ、その多くのとがのゆえに彼らを追いだしてください。彼らはあなたにそむいたからです。

¹¹But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

¹¹しかし、すべてあなたに寄り頼む者を喜ばせ、とこしえに喜び呼ばわらせてください。また、み名を愛する者があなたによって喜びを得るように、彼らをお守りください。主よ、あなたは正しい者を祝福し、盾をもってするように、恵みをもってこれをおおい守られます。

¹²For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
