¹God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

²How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

³Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

³弱い者と、みなしごとを公平に扱い、苦しむ者と乏しい者の権利を擁護せよ。

⁴Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

⁴弱い者と貧しい者を救い、彼らを悪しき者の手から助け出せ」。

⁵They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

⁵彼らは知ることなく、悟ることもなくて、暗き中をさまよう。地のもろもろの基はゆり動いた。

⁶I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

⁶わたしは言う、「あなたがたは神だ、あなたがたは皆いと高き者の子だ。

⁷But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

⁷しかし、あなたがたは人のように死に、もろもろの君のひとりのように倒れるであろう」。神よ、起きて、地をさばいてください。すべての国民はあなたのものだからです。

⁸Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
