¹How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!

¹万軍の主よ、あなたのすまいはいかに麗しいことでしょう。

²My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

²わが魂は絶えいるばかりに主の大庭を慕い、わが心とわが身は生ける神にむかって喜び歌います。

³Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.

³すずめがすみかを得、つばめがそのひなをいれる巣を得るように、万軍の主、わが王、わが神よ、あなたの祭壇のかたわらにわがすまいを得させてください。

⁴Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.

⁴あなたの家に住み、常にあなたをほめたたえる人はさいわいです。〔セラ

⁵Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.

⁵その力があなたにあり、その心がシオンの大路にある人はさいわいです。

⁶Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

⁶彼らはバカの谷を通っても、そこを泉のある所とします。また前の雨は池をもってそこをおおいます。

⁷They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

⁷彼らは力から力に進み、シオンにおいて神々の神にまみえるでしょう。

⁸O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

⁸万軍の神、主よ、わが祈をおききください。ヤコブの神よ、耳を傾けてください。〔セラ

⁹Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

⁹神よ、われらの盾をみそなわし、あなたの油そそがれた者の顔をかえりみてください。

¹⁰For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

¹⁰あなたの大庭にいる一日は、よそにいる千日にもまさるのです。わたしは悪の天幕にいるよりは、むしろ、わが神の家の門守となることを願います。

¹¹For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

¹¹主なる神は日です、盾です。主は恵みと誉とを与え、直く歩む者に良い物を拒まれることはありません。万軍の主よ、あなたに信頼する人はさいわいです。

¹²O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
