¹The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

¹ کویر شادمان است، و گُلها در بیابان بایر شکوفه می‌دهند.

²It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.

² کویر خواهد سرایید و از شادی فریاد بر می‌آورد؛ چون مثل کوهستان لبنان زیبا و مانند مزارع کرمل و شارون حاصلخیز خواهد بود. همه شکوه و جلال خداوند و بزرگی و قدرت او را خواهند دید.

³Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

³ به دستهای خسته و به زانوهایی که از ضعف می‌لرزند، توانایی می‌بخشد.

⁴Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

⁴ به آنهایی که مأیوس شده‌اند، بگویید: «قوی باشید، نترسید! خدا برای نجات شما می‌آید، او برای مجازات دشمنان شما می‌آید.»

⁵Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

⁵ کورها می‌توانند ببینند، و کَرها خواهند شنید.

⁶Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

⁶ آدمهای لنگ، مثل آهو جست و خیز می‌کنند، می‌رقصند، و آنهایی که لال هستند، با شادی فریاد می‌زنند. نهرهای آب در بیابان خشک جاری خواهد شد.

⁷And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

⁷ شنهای سوزان مبدّل به دریاچه می‌شوند، و زمین خشک، پر از چشمه‌‌های آب خواهد شد. جایی‌که منزلگاه شغالان بود، اکنون در آن خزه می‌روید و تبدیل به نِیستان شده است.

⁸And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

⁸ در آنجا شاهراهی خواهد بود، به نام «طریق قدّوسیّت». هیچ گناهکاری هرگز از آن عبور نخواهد کرد، و هیچ احمقی، عابرین آن را گمراه نخواهد کرد.

⁹No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:

⁹ شیرها در آن مسکن نخواهند داشت؛ و حیوانات درّنده از آن رد نخواهند شد. آنهایی که به ‌وسیلهٔ خداوند نجات یافته‌اند از آن راه به خانه خواهند رفت. یعنی آنهایی که با خوشی و با سراییدن سرودهای شاد به اورشلیم می‌رسند. آنها تا ابد خوشحال و برای همیشه از درد و غم آزاد خواهند بود.

¹⁰And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

¹⁰ یعنی آنهایی که با خوشی و با سراییدن سرودهای شاد به اورشلیم می‌رسند. آنها تا ابد خوشحال و برای همیشه از درد و غم آزاد خواهند بود.
