¹Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

¹ خدایا بر من رحم کن، بر من رحم کن زیرا به تو پناه می‌آورم. زیر سایهٔ بالهای تو پناه می‌برم تا توفان بلا بگذرد.

²I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

² من به درگاه خدای متعال، خدایی که همهٔ احتیاجات مرا برآورده می‌سازد، دعا می‌کنم.

³He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

³ او از آسمان دعای مرا می‌شنود و مرا نجات می‌دهد. او دشمن مرا شکست می‌دهد و مرا از محبّت و رحمت پایدار خود برخوردار می‌سازد.

⁴My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

⁴ دشمنانم مرا محاصره کرده‌اند، آنهایی که مانند شیرهای درّنده هستند. دندانها‌یشان مانند نیزه، تیز و زبانشان مانند شمشیر، برّان است.

⁵Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.

⁵ خدایا، عظمت و شکوه تو بالاتر از آسمانها و جلال تو بر سراسر روی زمین آشکار گردد.

⁶They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.

⁶ دشمنانم برای من دام گسترده‌اند تا مرا گرفتار سازند. در زیر بار غم خم گشته‌ام. آنها چاهی سر راه من کندند، امّا خودشان در آن افتادند.

⁷My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.

⁷ خدایا، دل من استوار و محکم است و برای تو سرود شکرگزاری خواهم سرایید.

⁸Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

⁸ ای جان من بیدار شو. ای عود من و ای بربط من، بیدار شوید، من خورشید را بیدار خواهم کرد.

⁹I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.

⁹ خدایا، در بین اقوام جهان تو را سپاس خواهم گفت و در میان مردم تو را ستایش خواهم كرد.

¹⁰For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.

¹⁰ زیرا محبّت پایدار و وفاداری تو بالاتر از آسمانهاست. خدایا، عظمت و شکوهت را در آسمان و جلالت را بر روی زمین آشکار فرما.

¹¹Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.
