¹Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

¹ خدایا، تو در صهیون شایستهٔ ستایش هستی و ما آنچه را که نذر کرده‌ایم ادا خواهیم كرد.

²O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

² چون تو دعاها را مستجاب می‌فرمایی، همهٔ مردم به‌خاطر گناهانشان نزد تو خواهند آمد. گناهان ما بر ما چیره گشته است، امّا تو ما را می‌بخشی.

³Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

³ خوشا به حال کسانی‌که تو آنان را برگزیده‌ای تا به پیشگاه تو بیایند و در جایگاه مقدّس تو ساکن شوند. ما از تمام چیزهای نیکوی خانهٔ تو و برکات معبد تو بهره‌مند خواهیم شد.

⁴Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

⁴ ای خدایی که نجات‌دهندهٔ ما هستی، تو با کارهای عادلانه و عجیب ما را نجات می‌دهی. تو امید مردم سراسر جهان هستی.

⁵By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:

⁵ تو با قدرت خود کوهها را بنا نمودی و نیروی عظیم خود را نشان دادی.

⁶Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:

⁶ تو تلاطم دریاها و خروش امواج و شورش آدمیان را آرام می‌سازی.

⁷Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

⁷ ساکنان سراسر زمین از کارهای عجیب تو حیرانند و کارهای تو از یک سوی زمین تا آن سوی دیگر آن شادمانی می‌آفریند.

⁸They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

⁸ باران را بر زمین می‌فرستی و از آن مراقبت می‌کنی تا آن را سیراب و حاصلخیز کند. رودخانه‌ها را پُر آب می‌سازی و زمین را با غلاّت بارور می‌گردانی.

⁹Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

⁹ باران فراوان بر زمین می‌فرستی و با بارانهای سیل‌آسا زمین را نرم و هموار می‌کنی تا نباتات از زمین برویند.

¹⁰Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.

¹⁰ لطف تو، حاصل فراوان به بار آورده و سراسر زمین از نعمات تو لبریز است.

¹¹Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.

¹¹ چمنزارها پُر از گلّه و دامنهٔ کوهها، سرشار از شادی است. مزارع پوشیده از گوسفندان است و دشتها از غلّه لبریز هستند. همه از خوشی فریاد می‌زنند و با هم سرود می‌خوانند.

¹²They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.
