¹Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.

¹ برای خدایی که قوّت ماست، سرود شادی بسرایید و برای خدای یعقوب آواز شادمانی سر دهید.

²Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.

² دف را بیاورید و با بربط و رباب سرود بخوانید.

³Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

³ شیپور را در روزهای عید به صدا درآورید، در ماه نو و زمانی كه ماه كامل است.

⁴For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.

⁴ زیرا این رسمی است برای اسرائیل و دستوری است از جانب خدای یعقوب،

⁵This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.

⁵ آن را به مردم اسرائیل داد، هنگامی‌که از مصر بیرون رفتند. صدای ناآشنایی به گوشم می‌رسد که می‌گوید:

⁶I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.

⁶ «بار سنگین را از دوشتان برداشتم و دستهایتان را از حمل سبدها آزاد نمودم.

⁷Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.

⁷ هنگامی‌که در سختی بودید و به من روی آوردید، من شما را نجات دادم. از میان رعد تو را اجابت کردم، و در کنار چشمه‏‌های مریبا شما را آزمایش نمودم.

⁸Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;

⁸ ای قوم من، به هشدار من توجّه کنید؛ ای بنی‌اسرائیل، از شما می‌‌‌‌خواهم که به من گوش دهید.

⁹There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.

⁹ شما هرگز نباید خدای دیگری را بپرستید و به خدای بیگانه سجده کنید.

¹⁰I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

¹⁰ من خداوند، خدای شما هستم، که شما را از مصر خارج کردم. دهان خود را باز کنید و شما را سیر خواهم کرد.

¹¹But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.

¹¹ «امّا قوم من به سخنان من گوش ندادند و بنی‌اسرائیل از من اطاعت نکردند.

¹²So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.

¹² بنابراین آنها را به حال خودشان گذاشتم تا خواهش‌های خود را بجا آورند.

¹³Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!

¹³ ای کاش قوم من به من گوش می‌دادند و بنی‌اسرائیل از من اطاعت می‌کردند.

¹⁴I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.

¹⁴ آنگاه بزودی دشمنانشان را سرکوب می‌نمودم و مخالفان آنها را مجازات می‌کردم.

¹⁵The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.

¹⁵ آنهایی که از خداوند نفرت دارند، با ترس در برابر او تعظیم می‌کردند و گرفتار مجازات ابدی می‌شدند. امّا شما را با بهترین گندم خوراک می‌دادم و با عسل وحشی سیر می‌گردانیدم.»

¹⁶He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

¹⁶ امّا شما را با بهترین گندم خوراک می‌دادم و با عسل وحشی سیر می‌گردانیدم.»
