¹And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.

¹ بار دیگر خداوند در رؤیا، یهوشع کاهن اعظم را به من نشان داد که در حضور فرشتهٔ خداوند ایستاده بود. شیطان هم در آنجا در دست راست او ایستاده بود و او را مورد اتّهام قرار می‌داد.

²And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?

² فرشتهٔ خداوند به شیطان گفت: «ای شیطان، خداوند تو را محکوم کند. خداوند که اورشلیم را برگزیده است تو را محکوم کند. این مرد مانند چوب نیم سوخته‌ای است که از میان آتش گرفته شده باشد.»

³Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.

³ یهوشع با لباس کثیف در حضور فرشته ایستاده بود.

⁴And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

⁴ فرشته به کسانی‌که آنجا ایستاده بودند گفت: «لباس کثیف او را از تنش بیرون کنید.» سپس به یهوشع گفت: «ببین، گناهان تو را از تو دور کردم و حالا لباس نو به تنت می‌کنم.»

⁵And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.

⁵ سپس امر کرد که یک دستار تمیز بر سرش بگذارند و آنها گذاردند و درحالی‌که فرشته در آنجا ایستاده بود، لباس نو را به او پوشانیدند.

⁶And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,

⁶ بعد فرشتهٔ خداوند به یهوشع گفت

⁷Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.

⁷ که خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: «اگر تو از من اطاعت کنی و وظایفی را که به تو می‌سپارم به درستی انجام دهی، آنگاه تو را سرپرست تمام خانهٔ خود می‌سازم و اجازه می‌دهم که مانند این فرشتگان در حضور من بایستی.

⁸Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.

⁸ پس ای یهوشع، کاهن اعظم و ای همهٔ همکاران او بشنوید! شما نشانه‌ای هستید از آنچه که در آینده رخ خواهد داد. من بندهٔ خود را که 'شاخه' نام دارد می‌آورم.

⁹For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

⁹ من بر آن تخته سنگ هفت سطحی که در مقابل یهوشع گذاشته‌ام جمله‌ای را حک خواهم نمود و در یک روز گناه این سرزمین را برمی‌دارم. در آن روز هریک از شما همسایهٔ خود را دعوت خواهد کرد که در زیر سایهٔ تاک و درختان انجیر او در صلح و صفا بنشیند.»

¹⁰In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.

¹⁰ در آن روز هریک از شما همسایهٔ خود را دعوت خواهد کرد که در زیر سایهٔ تاک و درختان انجیر او در صلح و صفا بنشیند.»
