¹Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

¹Binecuvîntează, suflete, pe Domnul! Doamne, Dumnezeule, Tu eşti nemărginit de mare! Tu eşti îmbrăcat cu strălucire şi măreţie!

²Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

²Te înveleşti cu lumina ca şi cu o manta; întinzi cerurile ca un cort.

³Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:

³Cu apele Îţi întocmeşti vîrful locuinţei Tale; din nori Îţi faci carul, şi umbli pe aripile vîntului.

⁴Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

⁴Din vînturi Îţi faci soli, şi din flăcări de foc, slujitori.

⁵Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

⁵Tu ai aşezat pămîntul pe temeliile lui, şi niciodată nu se va clătina.

⁶Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.

⁶Tu îl acoperisei cu adîncul cum l-ai acoperi cu o haină; apele stăteau pe munţi,

⁷At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

⁷dar, la ameninţarea Ta, au fugit, la glasul tunetului Tău au luat -o la fugă,

⁸They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.

⁸suindu-se pe munţi şi pogorîndu-se în văi, pînă la locul, pe care li -l hotărîsei Tu.

⁹Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.

⁹Le-ai pus o margine, pe care nu trebuie s'o treacă, pentruca să nu se mai întoarcă să acopere pămîntul.

¹⁰He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.

¹⁰Tu faci să ţîşnească izvoarele în văi, şi ele curg printre munţi.

¹¹They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.

¹¹Tu adăpi la ele toate fiarele cîmpului; în ele îşi potolesc setea măgarii sălbatici.

¹²By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.

¹²Păsările cerului locuiesc pe marginile lor, şi fac să le răsune glasul printre ramuri.

¹³He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

¹³Din locaşul Tău cel înalt Tu uzi munţii; şi se satură pămîntul de rodul lucrărilor Tale.

¹⁴He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

¹⁴Tu faci să crească iarba pentru vite, şi verdeţuri pentru nevoile omului, ca pămîntul să dea hrană:

¹⁵And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.

¹⁵vin, care înveseleşte inima omului, untdelemn, care -i înfrumuseţează faţa, şi pîne, care -i întăreşte inima.

¹⁶The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;

¹⁶Se udă copacii Domnului, cedrii din Liban, pe cari i -a sădit El.

¹⁷Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.

¹⁷În ei îşi fac păsările cuiburi; iar cocostîrcul îşi are locuinţa în chiparoşi;

¹⁸The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.

¹⁸munţii cei înalţi sînt pentru ţapii sălbatici, iar stîncile sînt adăpost pentru iepuri.

¹⁹He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.

¹⁹El a făcut luna ca să arate vremile; soarele ştie cînd trebuie să apună.

²⁰Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.

²⁰Tu aduci întunerecul, şi se face noapte: atunci toate fiarele pădurilor se pun în mişcare;

²¹The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.

²¹puii de lei mugesc după pradă, şi îşi cer hrana dela Dumnezeu.

²²The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.

²²Cînd răsare soarele, ele fug înapoi, şi se culcă în vizuinile lor.

²³Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.

²³Dar omul iese la lucrul său, şi la munca lui, pînă seara.

²⁴O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

²⁴Cît de multe sînt lucrările Tale, Doamne! Tu pe toate le-ai făcut cu înţelepciune, şi pămîntul este plin de făpturile Tale.

²⁵So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.

²⁵Iată marea cea întinsă şi mare: în ea se mişcă nenumărate vieţuitoare mici şi mari.

²⁶There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.

²⁶Acolo în ea, umblă corăbiile, şi în ea este leviatanul acela pe care l-ai făcut să se joace în valurile ei.

²⁷These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.

²⁷Toate aceste vieţuitoare Te aşteaptă, ca să le dai hrana la vreme.

²⁸That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.

²⁸Le -o dai Tu, ele o primesc; Îţi deschizi Tu mîna, ele se satură de bunătăţile Tale.

²⁹Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.

²⁹Îţi ascunzi Tu Faţa, ele tremură; le iei Tu suflarea: ele mor, şi se întorc în ţărîna lor.

³⁰Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

³⁰Îţi trimeţi Tu suflarea: ele sînt zidite, şi înoieşti astfel faţa pămîntului.

³¹The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.

³¹În veci să ţină slava Domnului! Să Se bucure Domnul de lucrările Lui!

³²He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

³²El priveşte pămîntul, şi pămîntul se cutremură; atinge munţii, şi ei fumegă.

³³I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

³³Voi cînta Domnului cît voi trăi, voi lăuda pe Dumnezeul meu cît voi fi.

³⁴My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

³⁴Fie plăcute Lui cuvintele mele! Mă bucur de Domnul.

³⁵Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.

³⁵Să piară păcătoşii de pe pămînt, şi cei răi să nu mai fie! Binecuvintează, suflete, pe Domnul! Lăudaţi pe Domnul!
