¹The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

¹(Către mai marele cîntăreţilor. Un psalm al lui David, robul Domnului.) Nelegiuirea celui rău zice inimii mele: ,,Nu este frică de Dumnezeu înaintea ochilor lui.``

²For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

²Căci se măguleşte singur în ochii lui, ca să-şi desăvîrşească fărădelegea, ca să-şi potolească ura.

³The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.

³Cuvintele gurii lui sînt mincinoase şi înşelătoare; nu mai vrea să lucreze cu înţelepciune şi să facă binele.

⁴He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

⁴În aşternutul lui se gîndeşte la răutate, stă pe o cale care nu este bună, şi nu urăşte răul.

⁵Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

⁵Bunătatea Ta, Doamne, ajunge pînă la ceruri, şi credincioşia Ta pînă la nori.

⁶Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

⁶Dreptatea Ta este ca munţii lui Dumnezeu, şi judecăţile Tale sînt ca Adîncul cel mare. Doamne, Tu sprijineşti pe oameni şi pe dobitoace!

⁷How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

⁷Cît de scumpă este bunătatea Ta, Dumnezeule! La umbra aripilor Tale găsesc fiii oamenilor adăpost.

⁸They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

⁸Se satură de belşugul Casei Tale, şi -i adăpi din şivoiul desfătărilor Tale.

⁹For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

⁹Căci la Tine este izvorul vieţii; prin lumina Ta vedem lumina.

¹⁰O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

¹⁰Întinde-Ţi şi mai departe bunătatea peste ceice Te cunosc, şi dreptatea peste cei cu inima neprihănită!

¹¹Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

¹¹Să nu m'ajungă piciorul celui mîndru, şi să nu mă pună pe fugă mîna celor răi.

¹²There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

¹²Ceice fac fărădelegea au şi început să cadă; sînt răsturnaţi, şi nu pot să se mai scoale.
