1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
1Potom vyšiel Ježiš z chrámu a išiel. A pristúpili jeho učeníci, aby mu ukázali stavby chrámu.
2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
2Ale Ježiš odpovedal a riekol im: Či nevidíte všetkého tohoto? Ameň vám hovorím, že tu nebude ponechaný kameň na kameni, ktorý by nebol zborený.
3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
3A keď sedel na Olivovom vrchu, pristúpili k nemu učeníci osobitne a riekli: Povedz nám, kedy to bude, a čo bude znamením tvojho príchodu a skonania sveta?
4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
4A Ježiš odpovedal a riekol im: Hľaďte, aby vás niekto nezviedol!
5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
5Lebo mnohí prijdú pod mojím menom a budú hovoriť: Ja som Kristus, a zvedú mnohých.
6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
6A budete slýchať o vojnách a chýry o vojnách. Hľaďte, aby ste sa nestrachovali, lebo to všetko sa musí stať, ale ešte nie je koniec.
7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
7Lebo povstane národ proti národu a kráľovstvo proti kráľovstvu, a bude bývať hlad a mor, a zemetrasenia budú miestami.
8All these are the beginning of sorrows.
8A to všetko je počiatkom preporodných bolestí sveta.
9Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
9Vtedy vás vydajú v súženie a budú vás zabíjať, a budete nenávidení od všetkých národov pre moje meno.
10And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
10A vtedy sa pohoršia mnohí a budú jedni druhých zrádzať a jedni druhých nenávidieť
11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
11a povstanú aj mnohí falošní proroci a zvedú mnohých.
12And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
12A preto, že bude rozmnožená neprávosť, ochladne láska mnohých;
13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
13ale kto zotrvá až do konca, ten bude spasený.
14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
14A toto evanjelium kráľovstva bude hlásané po celom svete na svedoctvo všetkým národom, a vtedy prijde koniec.
15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
15Keď tedy uvidíte ohavnosť spustošenia, o ktorej hovoril prorok Daniel, že stojí na svätom mieste (Kto čítaš, rozumej!),
16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
16vtedy tí, ktorí budú v Judsku, nech utekajú na vrchy;
17Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
17kto bude na postreší, nech nesostupuje, aby vzal niečo zo svojho domu,
18Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
18a kto na poli, nech sa nevracia zpät, aby vzal svoje rúcho.
19And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
19Lež beda tehotným a tým, ktoré budú kojiť v tých dňoch.
20But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
20Ale modlite sa, aby sa váš útek neprihodil v zime ani v sobotu.
21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
21Lebo vtedy bude veliké súženie, akého nebolo od počiatku sveta až doteraz, ani už nikdy viac nebude.
22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
22A keby neboly zkrátené tie dni, nebolo by zachránené niktoré telo; ale pre vyvolených budú zkrátené tie dni.
23Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
23Vtedy keby vám niekto povedal: Hľa, tu je Kristus! alebo: Tu! neverte!
24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
24Lebo povstanú falošní kristovia a falošní proroci a dajú veliké znamenia a budú robiť zázraky, takže by zviedli v blud, keby bolo možné, aj vyvolených.
25Behold, I have told you before.
25Hľa, predpovedal som vám to!
26Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
26Tedy keď vám povedia: Hľa, je na púšti! nevychádzajte! Hľa, vo vnútorných chyžiach! neverte!
27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
27Lebo jako vychádza blesk od východu a ukazuje sa až na západ, tak bude aj príchod Syna človeka.
28For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
28Lebo kdekoľvek bude mŕtvola, tam sa shromaždia aj orli.
29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
29A hneď po súžení tých dní zatmie sa slnce, a mesiac nedá svojej žiare, a hviezdy budú padať s neba, a nebeské moci sa budú pohybovať.
30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
30A vtedy sa ukáže znamenie Syna človeka na nebi, a vtedy budú plakať všetky pokolenia zeme a uvidia Syna človeka, prichádzajúceho na nebeských oblakoch s mocou a slávou velikou.
31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
31A pošle svojich anjelov s trúbou veľkého zvuku, a shromaždia jeho vyvolených od štyroch vetrov, od jedných končín nebies až po ich druhé končiny.
32Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
32A od fíka sa naučte podobenstvu: keď už zmäkne jeho letorast a vyženie lístie, viete, že je už blízko leto.
33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
33Tak aj vy, keď uvidíte všetko toto, vedzte, že je blízko, predo dvermi.
34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
34Ameň vám hovorím, že nepominie toto pokolenie, až sa to všetko stane.
35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
35Nebo a zem pominú, ale moje slová nikdy nepominú.
36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
36Ale o tom dni a o tej hodine nevie nikto, ani nebeskí anjeli ani Syn, iba sám môj Otec.
37But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
37A jako bolo za dní Noeho, tak bude aj za príchodu Syna človeka:
38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
38lebo jako v tých dňoch pred potopou jedli a pili, ženili sa a vydávaly až do toho dňa, ktorého vošiel Noe do korábu,
39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
39a nezvedeli, až prišla potopa a všetkých zachvátila: tak bude aj za príchodu Syna človeka.
40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
40Vtedy budú dvaja na poli; jeden bude vzatý a druhý zanechaný.
41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41Dve budú mlieť vo mlyne; jedna bude vzatá a druhá zanechaná.
42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
42Teda bdejte, lebo neviete, v ktorú hodinu a v ktorý deň prijde váš Pán.
43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
43Ale to vedzte, že keby hospodár vedel, v ktorú stráž prijde zlodej, bdel by a nedal by podkopať svoj dom.
44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
44Preto aj vy buďte hotoví, lebo v tú hodinu, v ktorú sa nenazdáte, prijde Syn človeka.
45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
45Ktože je tedy tým verným sluhom a opatrným, ktorého ustanovil jeho Pán nad svojou čeľaďou, aby im dával pokrm na čas?
46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
46Blahoslavený ten sluha, ktorého, keď prijde jeho pán, najde tak robiť.
47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
47Ameň vám hovorím, že ho ustanoví nad celým svojím majetkom.
48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
48Ale keby povedal ten zlý sluha vo svojom srdci: Môj pán ešte dlho neprijde,
49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
49a začal by spolusluhov biť a jesť a piť s opilcami -
50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
50prijde pán toho sluhu v deň, v ktorý sa nenazdá, a v hodinu, ktorej nezná,
51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
51a rozpoltí ho a jeho diel položí s pokrytcami; tam bude plač a škrípanie zubami.
