¹Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

²And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

²In nosili so nekega moža, ki je bil hrom od materinega telesa, in so ga pokladali vsak dan v templju pred vrata, ki se imenujejo Lepa, da je prosil miloščine teh, ki so hodili v tempelj.

³Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

³Ko ta vidi Petra in Janeza, da hočeta stopiti v tempelj, prosi, da bi mu dala miloščino.

⁴And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

⁴Pogleda pa Peter nanj z Janezom in veli: Poglej na naju!

⁵And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

⁵In on vpre oči vanju, misleč, da od nju kaj prejme.

⁶Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

⁶Peter pa veli: Srebra in zlata nimam; kar pa imam, to ti dam. V imenu Jezusa Kristusa Nazarečana vstani in hodi!

⁷And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

⁷In prime ga za desno roko in ga vzdigne: in takoj se utrde stopala njegova in gležnji.

⁸And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

⁸In poskočivši, stoji in začne hoditi, in gre ž njima v tempelj, hodeč in poskakujoč in hvaleč Boga.

⁹And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

⁹In vidi ga vse ljudstvo, da hodi in hvali Boga;

¹⁰And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

¹⁰in ga spoznajo, da je tisti, ki je zaradi miloščine sedel pri Lepih vratih templja: in prevzame jih groza in strmenje ob tem, kar se mu je prigodilo.

¹¹And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.

¹¹Ko se je pa ta ozdravljenec držal Petra in Janeza, priteče k njim vse ljudstvo zelo prestrašeno v lopo, ki se imenuje Salomonova.

¹²And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

¹²Videč pa to, odgovori Peter ljudstvu: Možje Izraelci, kaj se čudite temu, ali kaj naju gledate, kakor da bi bila z lastno močjo ali pobožnostjo storila, da ta hodi?

¹³The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

¹³Bog Abrahamov in Izakov in Jakobov, očetov naših Bog, je oslavil Služabnika [Grška beseda pomeni tudi: Sin.] svojega Jezusa, ki ste ga vi izdali in zatajili pred obličjem Pilatovim, ko je on sodil, naj se izpusti.

¹⁴But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

¹⁴A vi ste Svetnika in Pravičnika zatajili in ste prosili, naj vam da ubijalca,

¹⁵And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

¹⁵Začetnika življenja pa ste umorili! Tega je Bog obudil iz mrtvih, čemur smo mi priče.

¹⁶And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

¹⁶In po veri v ime njegovo je tega, ki ga vidite in poznate, utrdilo ime njegovo; in vera, ki je po njem, mu je dala to popolno zdravje vpričo vseh vas.

¹⁷And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

¹⁷Ali sedaj, bratje, vem, da ste to storili iz nevednosti, kakor tudi poglavarji vaši.

¹⁸But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

¹⁸Bog pa je, kar je naprej oznanil z usti vseh prorokov, da bo njegov Maziljenec [Grški: Kristus.] trpel, tako dopolnil.

¹⁹Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

¹⁹Izpokorite se torej in izpreobrnite, da se izbrišejo grehi vaši, da tako pridejo časi poživljenja od obličja Gospodovega

²⁰And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

²⁰in pošlje za vas določenega Maziljenca Jezusa,

²¹Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

²¹ki ga sicer mora nebo sprejeti do časov preuredbe vsega, kar je Bog povedal z usti svetih prorokov svojih od nekdaj.

²²For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

²²Mojzes je že rekel: „Proroka vam zbudi Gospod, Bog vaš, izmed bratov vaših kakor mene; njega poslušajte v vsem, karkoli vam bo govoril.

²³And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

²³Zgodi se pa, da se vsaka duša, ki ne bo poslušala tega proroka, iztrebi izmed ljudstva“.

²⁴Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

²⁴Pa tudi vsi proroki od Samuela in poznejši, kolikorkoli jih je govorilo, so tudi oznanili te dni.

²⁵Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

²⁵Vi ste sinovi prorokov in zaveze, ki jo je Bog sklenil z očeti vašimi, govoreč Abrahamu: „In v semenu tvojem bodo blagoslovljene vse rodovine zemlje“.Vam najprej je zbudil Bog Služabnika svojega Jezusa in ga poslal blagoslavljat vas, da se sleherni izpreobrne od hudobij svojih.

²⁶Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
