¹And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!

¹In ko je šel iz templja, mu reče eden učencev njegovih: Učenik, glej, kakšno kamenje in kakšne stavbe!

²And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

²In Jezus mu reče: Vidiš te velike stavbe? Ne ostane tu kamen na kamenu, ki bi se ne podrl.

³And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,

³In ko je sedel na Oljski gori templju nasproti, ga vprašajo posebe Peter in Jakob in Janez in Andrej:

⁴Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

⁴Povej nam, kdaj bode to? in kaj bode znamenje, ko se ima vse to dopolniti?

⁵And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:

⁵Jezus jim pa začne praviti: Varujte se, da vas kdo ne zapelje!

⁶For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

⁶Kajti veliko jih pride z imenom mojim, govoreč: Jaz sem Kristus, in mnogo jih bodo zapeljali.

⁷And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

⁷Kadar pa zaslišite boje in glasove o bojih, ne ustrašite se; zakaj to mora biti, ali to še ni konec.

⁸For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

⁸Kajti vstane narod zoper narod in kraljestvo zoper kraljestvo; potresi bodo po krajih, in bodo lakote. Začetek nadlogam je to.

⁹But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

¹¹But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

¹¹Kadar vas pa popeljejo, da vas izroče, ne skrbite naprej, kaj bi govorili, temuč kar vam bo dano tisto uro, to govorite; ker niste vi, ki govorite, ampak sveti Duh.

¹²Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

¹²Izdajal pa bo brat brata na smrt in oče sina, in otroci bodo vstali zoper roditelje in jih bodo morili.

¹³And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

¹³In vsi vas bodo sovražili zaradi imena mojega. Kdor pa pretrpi do konca, ta bo zveličan.

¹⁴But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

¹⁴A kadar ugledate gnusobo razdejanja [Ali: gnusobo opustošenja..], da stoji, kjer ne bi smela (kdor bere, naj razume!), tedaj naj tisti, ki so v Judeji, zbežé na gore;

¹⁵And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:

¹⁵a kdor je na strehi, ne stopaj doli in ne hodi noter, da bi kaj vzel iz hiše svoje;

¹⁶And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.

¹⁶in kdor je na polju, naj se ne vrača, da vzame plašč svoj.

¹⁷But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

¹⁷Gorje pa nosečim in doječim v tistih dneh!

¹⁸And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.

¹⁸Molite pa, da ne bode po zimi.

¹⁹For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

¹⁹Kajti tisti dnevi bodo stiska, kakršne ni bilo od začetka stvarjenja, katero je ustvaril Bog, do sedaj in je tudi ne bo.

²⁰And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

²⁰In ko ne bi bil Gospod prikrajšal teh dni, ne bi se rešil noben človek; ali zavoljo izvoljencev, ki jih je izvolil, je prikrajšal te dni.

²¹And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:

²²For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

²³But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

²⁷And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

²⁷In tedaj pošlje angele svoje in zbere izvoljence svoje od četverih vetrov, od konca zemlje do kraja neba.

²⁸Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

²⁸Od smokve pa se učite prilike: Kadar se že njena veja omladi in požene listje, veste, da je blizu poletje.

²⁹So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

²⁹Tako tudi vi: kadar ugledate, da se te reči gode, vedite, da je on blizu, pri vratih.

³⁰Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

³⁰Resnično vam pravim, da ne preide ta rod, dokler se vse te reči ne zgode.

³¹Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

³¹Nebo in zemlja preideta, a besede moje nikoli ne preidejo.

³²But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

³²Za tisti dan in tisto uro pa nihče ne ve, tudi angeli v nebesih ne, tudi Sin ne, samo Oče.

³³Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

³³Pazite, bedite in molite, kajti ne veste, kdaj je ta čas.

³⁴For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

³⁴Kakor je človek, ki je odpotoval, zapustil dom svoj in dal hlapcem svojim oblast in vsakemu svoje delo, tudi vratarju zapovedal, da naj čuje –.

³⁵Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

³⁵Čujte torej, kajti ne veste, kdaj pride gospodar hiše: ali zvečer, ali opolnoči, ali o petelinovem petju, ali zjutraj,

³⁶Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

³⁶da vas, ko pride nagloma, ne najde spečih.Kar pa vam pravim, pravim vsem: Čujte!

³⁷And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
