¹Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.

¹Aleluja! Hvalite GOSPODA, vsi iz nebes, hvalite ga na višavah!

²Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.

²Hvalite ga, vsi angeli njegovi, hvalite ga, vse vojske njegove!

³Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.

³Hvalite ga, solnce in mesec, hvalite ga, vse svetle zvezde!

⁴Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.

⁴Hvalite ga, nebes nebesa, in vode, katere so nad nebom –

⁵Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.

⁵hvalijo naj ime GOSPODOVO! kajti on je rekel, in so bili ustvarjeni,

⁶He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

⁶in utrdil jih je za vselej in na veke; dal je zapoved, ki je nihče ne prestopi.

⁷Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:

⁷Hvalite GOSPODA, vsi iz zemlje, zmaji in brezna vsa,

⁸Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

⁸ogenj in toča, sneg in sopara, veter viharni, ki izpolnjuješ besedo njegovo,

⁹Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:

⁹ve gore in vsi hribi, drevesa sadonosna in vse cedre,

¹⁰Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:

¹⁰ti zverina in vsa živina, laznina in ptiči krilati;

¹¹Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:

¹¹kralji zemeljski in narodi vsi, knezi in vsi zemljé sodniki,

¹²Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:

¹²mladeniči in tudi device, starci z dečki vred –

¹³Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.

¹³naj hvalijo ime GOSPODOVO! kajti vzvišeno je ime njegovo, On sam, slava njegova sega čez zemljo in nebo.In povišal je rog svojemu ljudstvu, hvalo vseh svetih svojih, sinom Izraelovim, ljudstvu, ki mu je blizu. Aleluja!

¹⁴He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.

¹⁴In povišal je rog svojemu ljudstvu, hvalo vseh svetih svojih, sinom Izraelovim, ljudstvu, ki mu je blizu. Aleluja!
