¹Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:

²Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.

³Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.

³Павлус майл дошт ӯро ҳамроҳи худ бибарад, ва ӯро гирифта, ба ҳотири яҳудиёне ки дар он ноҳия буданд, хатиа кард, зеро ки ҳама падарашро мешинохтанд, ки вай юнонй буд.

⁴And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.

⁴Онҳо дар ҳар шаҳре ки мегаштанд, дастурҳоеро, ки ҳаввориён ва пирон дар Ерусалим қарор дода буданд, ба онҳо месупурданд, то ки аз рӯи он дастурҳо амал кунанд.

⁵And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

⁵Калисоҳо дар имон мустаҳкам мешуданд, ва шумораашон рӯз ба рӯз меафзуд.

⁶Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,

⁶Вақте ки аз Фриҷия ва кишвари Ғалотия мегузаштанд, Рӯҳулкудс онҳоро нагузошт, ки каломро дар вилояти Осиё мавъиза намоянд.

⁷After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.

⁷Ба Мисия расида, аз он ҷо ба Битуния рафтанй шуданд, Лекин Рӯҳ ба онҳо иҷозат надод.

⁸And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.

⁸Он гоҳ аз Мисия гузашта, ба Трӯос фуромаданд.

⁹And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.

⁹Ҳамон шаб ба Павлус рӯъёе аён шуд, ки инак шаҳсе аз аҳли Мақдуния назди ӯ истода буд ва илтимос карда, мегуфт: «Ба Мақдуния омада, ба мо мадад расон».

¹⁰And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

¹⁰Ҳамин ки ӯ ин рӯъёро дид, мо дарҳол ба Мақдуния рафтанй шудем, зеро яқин донистем,ки Худованд моро даъват намудааст, ки дар он ҷо башорат диҳем.

¹¹Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis;

¹¹Аз Трӯос бо киштй рафта, рост ба Сомӯтрокй расидем ва рӯзи дигар ба Ниёпӯлис равона шудем;

¹²And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days.

¹²Аз он ҷо ба Филиппй рафтем, ки шаҳри аввали вилояти Мақдуния, қасабаи муҳоҷирнищин буд; дар он шаҳр якчанд рӯз истодем.

¹³And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.

¹³Рӯзи шанбе аз шаҳр берун шуда, дар соҳили дарьё, ки он ҷо одатан ибодатгоҳ буд, нишастем ва бо заноне ки дар он ҷо ҷамъ омада буданд, гуфтугӯ кардем.

¹⁴And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.

¹⁴Лидия ном занаки худопарасти арғувонфурӯш, ки аз шаҳри Тиётира буд, гуфтугӯи моро гӯш мекард; Худованд дили ӯро кушода буд, то ки суханони Павлусро бишнавад.

¹⁵And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.

¹⁵Вақте ки ӯ ва аҳли байташ таъмид гирифтанд, хоҳиш карда, гуфт: «Агар шумо якин дониста бошед, ки ман ба Худованд имон овардаам, ба хонаи ман омада, иқомат кунед». Ӯ он қадар исрор кард, ки мо розӣ шудем.

¹⁶And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

¹⁶Як рӯз, ки мо ба ибодатгоҳ мерафтем, ба мо канизе вохӯрд, ки рӯҳи ғайбгӯй дошт ва аз ғайбгӯй ба оғоёни худ даромади калоне меовард.

¹⁷The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.

¹⁷Вай аз қафон мо ва Павлус омада, фарьёд зад, ки ин одамон бандагони Худои Таолоянд ва роҳи наҷотро ба мо ҳабар медиҳанд.

¹⁸And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

¹⁸Азбаски чандин рӯз вай ҳамин тавр рафтор кард, Павлус дарғазаб шуд ва ба вай рӯ гардонда, ба он рӯҳ гуфт: «Ба исми Исои Масеҳ туро амр мефармоям, ки аз вай берун баро». Ва дарҳол аз вай берун омад.

¹⁹And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,

¹⁹Чун оғоёни вай диданд, ки умеди даромадашон аз даст рафт, Павлус ва Силоро дастгир карда, ба майдони шаҳр назди сардорон кашида бурданд;

²⁰And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,

²⁰Вақте ки онҳоро назди волиён оварданд, гуфтанд: «Ин одамон, ки яҳудӣ ҳастанд, шаҳри моро ба шӯр овардаанд

²¹And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.

²¹«Ва расму таомулеро мавъиза мекунанд, ки қабул кардан ва ба ҷо овардани он ба мо, румиён, чоиз нест».

²²And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.

²²Мардум низ бар онҳо қиём карданд, ва волиён ҷомаҳои онҳоро канда партофта, фармуданд, ки онҳоро калтаккорӣ кунанд;

²³And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:

²³Пас аз задани шаттаи бисьёр, онҳоро дар зиндон андохтанд ва ба зиндонбон амр фармуданд, ки онҳоро дурустакак нигаҳбонӣ кунад;

²⁴Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.

²⁴Чун вай ин тавр амре гирифт, онҳоро дар зиндони дохилӣ маҳбус кард ва ба пойҳошон кунда зад.

²⁵And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

²⁵Дар қарибии нисфи шаб Павлус ва Сило дуо гуфта, Худоро ҳамду сано мехонданд, ва бандиён онҳоро мешуниданд.

²⁶And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

²⁶Ногаҳон заминҷунбии азиме рӯй дод, то ба ҳадде ки таҳкурсии зиндон ба ларза даромад; дарҳол ҳамаи дарҳо кушода шуд, ва ҳама завлонаҳо ба замин афтод.

²⁷And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

²⁷Зиндонбон бедор шуда, дарҳои зиндонро кушода дид ва шамшери худро кашида, мехост худро бикушад, ба гумони он ки бандиён гуреҳта рафтаанд.

²⁸But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.

²⁸Аммо Павлус бо овози баланд гуфт: «Ба худ осебе нарасон, зеро ки ҳамаи мо дар ин ҷо ҳастем».

²⁹Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,

²⁹Зиндонбон чароғе талаб карда, ба дарун давида даромад ва ларзон шуда, пеши пои Павлус ва Сило афтод;

³⁰And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

³⁰Сонй онҳоро берун оварда, гуфт: «Эй оғоён! Чӣ бояд бикунам, то ки наҷот ёбам?»

³¹And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

³¹Гуфтанд: «Ба Исои Масеҳи Худованд имон овар, ва ту бо аҳли байти худ наҷот хоҳӣ ёфт».

³²And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

³²Он гоҳ каломи Худовандро ба вай ва тамоми аҳли байташ мавъиза карданд.

³³And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

³³Дар ҳамон соати шаб зиндонбон онҳоро берун оварда, захмҳошонро шуст, ва фавран худаш ва тамоми аҳли байташ таъмид гирифтанд,

³⁴And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

³⁴Ва онҳоро ба хонаи худ оварда, дар пешашон хӯрок монд, ва бо тамоми аҳли байти худ шод шуд, ки ба Худо имон овард.

³⁵And when it was day, the magistrates sent the serjeants, saying, Let those men go.

³⁵Вақте ки субҳ дамид, волиён мулозимонро фиристоданд, ки бигӯянд: «Он шахсонро ҷавоб деҳ».

³⁶And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.

³⁶Зиндонбон инро ба Павлус хабар дода, гуфт: «Волиён кас фиристодаанд, ки шуморо ҷавоб диҳам; пас, берун омада, ба саломатӣ биравед».

³⁷But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.

³⁷Вале Павлус ба онҳо гуфт: «Моро, ки румӣ ҳастем, бе муҳокима дар пеши назари тамоми мардум калтаккорӣ карда, дар зиндон андохтанд, ва акнун мехоҳанд пинҳонй ҷавоб диҳанд? Не, бигзор ҳудашон омада, моро берун оваранд».

³⁸And the serjeants told these words unto the magistrates: and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans.

³⁸Мулозимон ин суханонро ба волиён расонданд, ва чун шуниданд, ки румй ҳастанд, ба ҳарос афтоданд

³⁹And they came and besought them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the city.

³⁹Ва омада, аз онҳо узр пурсиданд ва берун оварда, хоҳиш карданд, ки аз шаҳр бираванд.

⁴⁰And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.

⁴⁰Онҳо аз зиндон берун омада, ба хонаи Лидия шитофтанд ва бо бародарон вохӯрда ва онҳоро насиҳат карда, равона шуданд.
