¹Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

¹БИНОБАР ин, таълимоти ибтидоии Масеҳро монда, сӯи камол шитоб кунем ва аз нав асос нагузорем ба тавба аз аъмоли беҷон ва ба имон ба Худо,

²Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

²Ба таълимоти оид ба таъмидҳо, оид ба гузоштани дастҳо, оид ба эҳьёи мурдагон ва оид ба доварии ҷовидонӣ.

³And this will we do, if God permit.

³Ва инро ба амал хоҳем овард, ба шарте ки Худо изн диҳад.

⁴For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

⁴Зеро касоне ки боре фикрашон равшан шудааст, ва бахшоиши осмониро чашидаанд, ва шарикони Рӯҳулқудс гардидаанд,

⁵And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

⁵Ва каломи неки Худо ва қувваҳои олами ояндаро чашидаанд,

⁶If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

⁶Ва ҷудо шуда афтодаанд, - онҳоро аз нав ба роҳи тавба андохтан имконнопазир аст, зеро онҳо Писари Худоро ба зарари худашон боз маслуб мекунанд ва беобрӯ месозанд.

⁷For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

⁷Зеро замине ки борҳо борони бар он боридаро мехӯрад ва барои онҳое ки онро кор мекунанд, набототи фоиданоке мерӯёнад, - аз Худо баракат меёбад;

⁸But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

⁸Вале замине ки хору хас мерӯёнад, нобоб буда, ба лаънат наздик аст, ва фарҷоми он сӯхтан аст.

⁹But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

⁹Аммо дар хусуси шумо, эй маҳбубон, мо яқин дорем, ки шумо дар холати беҳтар ва ба наҷот наздике мебошед, гарчанде ки ин гуна сухан меронем.

¹⁰For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

¹⁰Зеро Худо беадолат нест, ки кори шуморо, ва он меҳнати муҳаббатеро, ки ба исми Ӯ зоҳир намуда, ба муқаддасон ҳизмат кардаед ва мекунед, фаромӯш кунад.

¹¹And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

¹¹Лекин орзумандем, ки ҳар яке аз шумо ҳамин ғайратро то ба охир нищон диҳед, то ки умедатон комилан ҳосил шавад;

¹²That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

¹²То ки шумо танбал нащавед, балки ба касоне тақлид кунед, ки ба василаи имон ва пурсабрӣ вориси ваъдаҳо мегарданд.

¹³For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

¹³Зеро, вақте ки Худо ба Иброҳим ваъда дод, азбаски ба каси бузургтаре наметавонист касам ёд кунад, ба Зоти Худ қасам ёд кард

¹⁴Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

¹⁴Ва гуфт: "Ҳақиқатан туро бисьёр баракат хоҳам дод ва туро бағоят афзун ҳоҳам кард".

¹⁵And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

¹⁵Ва Иброҳим бо пурсабрии худ ба он ваъда ноил гарДид.

¹⁶For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.

¹⁶Зеро ки одамон бо он чи бузургтар аст, қасам ёд мекунанд, ва қасам исботест, ки ба ҳар мунозираи онҳо хотима медиҳад.

¹⁷Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:

¹⁷Бинобар ин Худо, ки мехост тагьирнопазирии иродаи Худро ба ворисони ваъда пурратар нишон диҳад, қасамро ба кор бурд,

¹⁸That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

¹⁸То бо ду чизи тагьирнопазир, ки дар онҳо дурӯғ гуфтани Худо мумкин нест, барои мо, ки паноҳ ёфтаем ва ба умеде ки пешниҳод шудааст, часпидаем, тасаллои пурзӯре бошад.

¹⁹Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

¹⁹Он умед барои ҷон мисли лангари боэътимод ва мустаҳкам аст, ва андаруни парда дохил мешавад,

²⁰Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

²⁰Ки ба он ҷо пешгузаштаи мо - Исо дохил шуда, то абад Саркоҳин гардид ба монанди Малкисодақ.
