1For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
1โดยเหตุที่พระราชบัญญัตินั้นได้เป็นแต่เงาของสิ่งดีที่จะมาภายหน้า มิใช่ตัวจริงของสิ่งนั้นทีเดียว พระราชบัญญัตินั้นจะใช้เครื่องบูชาที่เขาถวายทุกปีๆเสมอมากระทำให้ผู้ถวายสักการบูชานั้นถึงที่สำเร็จไม่ได้
2For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
2เพราะถ้าเป็นเช่นนั้นได้ เขาคงได้หยุดการถวายเครื่องบูชาแล้วมิใช่หรือ เพราะถ้าผู้นมัสการนั้นได้รับการชำระให้บริสุทธิ์ครั้งหนึ่งแล้ว เขาคงจะไม่รู้สึกว่ามีบาปอีกต่อไป
3But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
3แต่การถวายเครื่องบูชานั้นเป็นเหตุให้ระลึกถึงความบาปทุกปีๆ
4For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
4เพราะเลือดวัวผู้และเลือดแพะไม่สามารถชำระความบาปได้
5Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
5ดังนั้นเมื่อพระองค์เสด็จเข้ามาในโลกแล้ว พระองค์ได้ตรัสว่า `เครื่องสัตวบูชาและเครื่องบูชาพระองค์ไม่ทรงประสงค์ แต่พระองค์ได้ทรงจัดเตรียมกายสำหรับข้าพระองค์
6In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
6เครื่องเผาบูชาและเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาป พระองค์ไม่ทรงพอพระทัย
7Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
7แล้วข้าพระองค์ทูลว่า "ดูเถิด ข้าพระองค์มาแล้ว พระเจ้าข้า เพื่อจะกระทำตามน้ำพระทัยพระองค์" (ในหนังสือม้วนก็มีเขียนเรื่องข้าพระองค์)'
8Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
8เมื่อพระองค์ตรัสดังนี้แล้วว่า "เครื่องสัตวบูชาและเครื่องบูชาและเครื่องเผาบูชาและเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาป พระองค์ไม่ทรงประสงค์และไม่ทรงพอพระทัย" ซึ่งเขาได้บูชาตามพระราชบัญญัตินั้น
9Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
9แล้วพระองค์จึงตรัสว่า "ดูเถิด ข้าพระองค์มาแล้ว พระเจ้าข้า เพื่อจะกระทำตามน้ำพระทัยพระองค์" พระองค์ทรงยกเลิกระบบเดิมนั้นเสีย เพื่อจะทรงตั้งระบบใหม่
10By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
10โดยน้ำพระทัยนั้นเองที่เราทั้งหลายได้รับการทรงชำระให้บริสุทธิ์ โดยการถวายพระกายของพระเยซูคริสต์เพียงครั้งเดียวเท่านั้น
11And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
11ฝ่ายปุโรหิตทุกคนก็ยืนปฏิบัติอยู่ทุกวันๆและนำเอาเครื่องบูชาอย่างเดียวกันมาถวายเนืองๆ เครื่องบูชานั้นจะยกเอาความบาปไปเสียไม่ได้เลย
12But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
12ฝ่ายพระองค์นี้ ครั้นทรงถวายเครื่องบูชาเพราะความบาปเพียงหนเดียวซึ่งใช้ได้เป็นนิตย์ ก็เสด็จประทับเบื้องขวาพระหัตถ์ของพระเจ้า
13From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
13ตั้งแต่นี้ไปพระองค์คอยอยู่จนถึงบรรดาศัตรูของพระองค์จะถูกปราบลงเป็นที่รองพระบาทของพระองค์
14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
14เพราะว่าโดยการทรงถวายบูชาหนเดียว พระองค์ได้ทรงกระทำให้คนทั้งหลายที่ถูกชำระแล้วถึงที่สำเร็จเป็นนิตย์
15Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
15และพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ก็ทรงเป็นพยานให้แก่เราด้วย เพราะว่าพระองค์ได้ตรัสไว้แล้วว่า
16This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
16`"นี่คือพันธสัญญาซึ่งเราจะกระทำกับเขาทั้งหลายภายหลังสมัยนั้น" องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัส "เราจะบรรจุราชบัญญัติของเราไว้ในจิตใจของเขาทั้งหลาย และจะจารึกมันไว้ที่ในดวงใจของเขาทั้งหลาย
17And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
17และจะไม่จดจำบาปและความชั่วช้าของเขาอีกต่อไป"'
18Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
18ดังนั้นเมื่อมีการลบบาปแล้วก็ไม่มีการถวายเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาปอีกต่อไป
19Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
19เหตุฉะนั้นพี่น้องทั้งหลาย เมื่อเรามีใจกล้าที่จะเข้าไปในที่บริสุทธิ์ที่สุดโดยพระโลหิตของพระเยซู
20By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
20ตามทางใหม่และเป็นทางที่มีชีวิต ซึ่งพระองค์ได้ทรงเปิดออกสำหรับเราทั้งหลายโดยม่านนั้น คือเนื้อหนังของพระองค์
21And having an high priest over the house of God;
21และครั้นเรามีมหาปุโรหิตสำหรับครอบครัวของพระเจ้าแล้ว
22Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
22ก็ให้เราเข้ามาใกล้ด้วยใจจริง ด้วยความเชื่ออันเต็มเปี่ยม มีใจที่ถูกประพรมชำระพ้นจากการวินิจฉัยผิดและชอบที่ชั่วร้าย และมีกายล้างชำระด้วยน้ำอันใสบริสุทธิ์
23Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
23ให้เรายึดมั่นในความเชื่อที่เราทั้งหลายรับไว้นั้น โดยไม่หวั่นไหว (เพราะว่าพระองค์ผู้ทรงประทานพระสัญญานั้นทรงสัตย์ซื่อ)
24And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
24และให้เราพิจารณาดูกันและกัน เพื่อเป็นเหตุให้มีความรักและกระทำการดี
25Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
25ซึ่งเราเคยประชุมกันนั้นอย่าให้หยุด เหมือนอย่างบางคนเคยกระทำนั้น แต่จงเตือนสติกันและกัน และให้มากยิ่งขึ้นเมื่อท่านทั้งหลายเห็นวันเวลานั้นใกล้เข้ามาแล้ว
26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
26เมื่อเราได้รับความรู้เรื่องความจริงแล้ว แต่เรายังขืนทำผิดอีก เครื่องบูชาไถ่บาปก็จะไม่มีเหลืออยู่เลย
27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
27แต่จะมีความหวาดกลัวในการรอคอยการพิพากษาโทษและไฟอันร้ายแรง ซึ่งจะกินเอาบรรดาคนที่ขัดขวางนั้นเสีย
28He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
28คนที่ได้ฝ่าฝืนพระราชบัญญัติของโมเสสนั้น ถ้ามีพยานสักสองสามปาก ก็จะต้องตายโดยปราศจากความเมตตา
29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
29ท่านทั้งหลายคิดดูซิว่าคนที่เหยียบย่ำพระบุตรของพระเจ้า และดูหมิ่นพระโลหิตแห่งพันธสัญญาซึ่งชำระเขาให้บริสุทธิ์ว่าเป็นสิ่งชั่วช้า และประมาทต่อพระวิญญาณผู้ทรงพระคุณ ควรจะถูกลงโทษมากยิ่งกว่านั้นสักเท่าใด
30For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
30เพราะเรารู้จักพระองค์ผู้ได้ตรัสว่า `การแก้แค้นเป็นของเรา เราจะตอบสนอง องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้ตรัส' และได้ตรัสอีกว่า `องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะทรงพิพากษาประชาชนของพระองค์'
31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
31การตกอยู่ในอุ้งพระหัตถ์ของพระเจ้าผู้ทรงพระชนม์นั้นเป็นที่น่าหวาดกลัว
32But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
32แต่ท่านทั้งหลายจงระลึกถึงคราวก่อนนั้น หลังจากที่ท่านได้รับความสว่างแล้ว ท่านได้อดทนต่อความยากลำบากอย่างใหญ่หลวง
33Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
33บางทีท่านก็ถูกประจานให้อับอายขายหน้าและถูกข่มเหง บางทีท่านก็ร่วมทุกข์กับคนที่ถูกข่มเหงนั้น
34For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
34เพราะว่าท่านทั้งหลายมีใจเมตตาต่อข้าพเจ้าในเมื่อข้าพเจ้าต้องถูกขังไว้ และเมื่อมีคนปล้นชิงเอาทรัพย์สิ่งของของท่านไป ท่านก็ยอมให้ด้วยใจยินดี เพราะท่านรู้แล้วว่า ท่านมีทรัพย์สมบัติที่ประเสริฐกว่าและถาวรกว่านั้นอีกในสวรรค์
35Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
35เหตุฉะนั้นขออย่าได้ละทิ้งความไว้วางใจของท่าน ซึ่งมีบำเหน็จอันยิ่งใหญ่
36For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
36ด้วยว่าท่านทั้งหลายต้องการความเพียร เพื่อว่าครั้นท่านกระทำให้น้ำพระทัยของพระเจ้าสำเร็จได้ ท่านจะได้รับตามคำทรงสัญญา
37For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
37`เพราะอีกไม่นานพระองค์ผู้จะเสด็จมาก็จะเสด็จมาและจะไม่ทรงชักช้า
38Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
38แต่คนชอบธรรมจะมีชีวิตดำรงอยู่โดยความเชื่อ และถ้าผู้ใดเสื่อมถอย ใจของเราจะไม่มีความพอใจในคนนั้นเลย'
39But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
39แต่เราทั้งหลายไม่อยู่ฝ่ายคนเหล่านั้นที่กลับถอยหลังถึงความพินาศ แต่อยู่ฝ่ายคนเหล่านั้นที่เชื่อจนให้จิตวิญญาณถึงที่รอด
