1Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
1บัดนี้ ในเรื่องที่เราพูดมาแล้วนั้น ข้อสรุปนั้นคือว่า เรามีมหาปุโรหิตอย่างนี้เอง ผู้ได้ประทับเบื้องขวาพระที่นั่งแห่งผู้ทรงเดชานุภาพในฟ้าสวรรค์
2A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
2เป็นผู้ปฏิบัติกิจในสถานบริสุทธิ์ และในพลับพลาแท้ซึ่งองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้ทรงตั้งไว้ ไม่ใช่มนุษย์ตั้ง
3For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
3เพราะว่าทรงตั้งมหาปุโรหิตทุกคนขึ้นเพื่อให้ถวายของกำนัลและเครื่องบูชา ด้วยเหตุนี้จึงจำเป็นที่มหาปุโรหิตผู้นี้ต้องมีสิ่งหนึ่งสิ่งใดถวายด้วย
4For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
4ถ้าพระองค์ทรงอยู่ในโลก พระองค์ก็จะไม่ได้ทรงเป็นปุโรหิต เพราะว่ามีปุโรหิตที่ถวายของกำนัลตามพระราชบัญญัติอยู่แล้ว
5Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
5ปุโรหิตเหล่านั้นปฏิบัติตามแบบและเงาแห่งสิ่งเหล่านั้นที่อยู่ในสวรรค์ เหมือนพระเจ้าได้ทรงสั่งแก่โมเสสครั้นเมื่อท่านจะสร้างพลับพลานั้นว่า `ดูเถิด จงทำทุกสิ่งตามแบบอย่างที่เราแจ้งแก่ท่านบนภูเขา'
6But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
6แต่ว่าพระองค์ได้ทรงเป็นคนกลางแห่งพันธสัญญาอันประเสริฐกว่าเก่า เพราะได้ทรงตั้งขึ้นโดยพระสัญญาอันดีกว่าเก่าเท่าใด บัดนี้พระองค์ก็ได้ตำแหน่งอันเลิศกว่าเก่าเท่านั้น
7For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
7เพราะว่าถ้าพันธสัญญาเดิมนั้นไม่มีข้อบกพร่องแล้ว ก็ไม่จำเป็นที่จะต้องมีพันธสัญญาที่สองอีก
8For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
8ด้วยว่าพระเจ้าตรัสติเขาว่า `องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสว่า "ดูเถิด วันเวลาจะมาถึง ซึ่งเราจะทำพันธสัญญาใหม่กับวงศ์วานอิสราเอล และวงศ์วานยูดาห์
9Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
9ไม่เหมือนกับพันธสัญญาซึ่งเราได้กระทำกับบรรพบุรุษของเขาทั้งหลาย เมื่อเราจูงมือเขาเพื่อนำเขาออกจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ เพราะว่าเขาเหล่านั้นไม่ได้มั่นอยู่ในพันธสัญญาของเราอีกต่อไปแล้ว เราจึงได้ละเขาไว้" องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสดังนี้แหละ
10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
10"นี่คือพันธสัญญาซึ่งเราจะกระทำกับวงศ์วานอิสราเอลภายหลังสมัยนั้น" องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัส "เราจะบรรจุราชบัญญัติของเราไว้ในจิตใจของเขาทั้งหลาย และจะจารึกมันไว้ที่ในดวงใจของเขาทั้งหลาย และเราจะเป็นพระเจ้าของเขา และเขาจะเป็นประชาชนของเรา
11And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
11และทุกคนจะไม่สอนเพื่อนบ้านของตนและพี่น้องของตนแต่ละคนอีกว่า `จงรู้จักองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า' เพราะเขาทั้งหลายจะรู้จักเราหมด ตั้งแต่คนต่ำต้อยที่สุดถึงคนใหญ่โตที่สุด
12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
12เพราะเราจะกรุณาต่อการอธรรมของเขา และจะไม่จดจำบาปและความชั่วช้าของเขาอีกต่อไป"'
13In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
13เมื่อพระองค์ตรัสถึง "พันธสัญญาใหม่" พระองค์ทรงถือว่า พันธสัญญาเดิมนั้นพ้นสมัยไปแล้ว และสิ่งที่พ้นสมัยและเก่าไปแล้วนั้น ก็พร้อมที่จะเสื่อมสูญไป
