1After these things Jesus went away beyond the sea of Galilee (of Tiberias),
1 Ar l hyn aeth Iesu ymaith ar draws Mr Galilea (hynny yw, Mr Tiberias).
2and there was following him a great multitude, because they were seeing his signs that he was doing on the ailing;
2 Ac yr oedd tyrfa fawr yn ei ganlyn, oherwydd yr oeddent wedi gweld yr arwyddion yr oedd wedi eu gwneud ar y cleifion.
3and Jesus went up to the mount, and he was there sitting with his disciples,
3 Aeth Iesu i fyny'r mynydd ac eistedd yno gyda'i ddisgyblion.
4and the passover was nigh, the feast of the Jews.
4 Yr oedd y Pasg, gu373?yl yr Iddewon, yn ymyl.
5Jesus then having lifted up [his] eyes and having seen that a great multitude doth come to him, saith unto Philip, `Whence shall we buy loaves, that these may eat?` —
5 Yna cododd Iesu ei lygaid a gwelodd fod tyrfa fawr yn dod tuag ato, ac meddai wrth Philip, "Ble y gallwn brynu bara i'r rhain gael bwyta?"
6and this he said, trying him, for he himself had known what he was about to do.
6 Dweud hyn yr oedd i roi prawf arno, oherwydd gwyddai ef ei hun beth yr oedd yn mynd i'w wneud.
7Philip answered him, `Two hundred denaries` worth of loaves are not sufficient to them, that each of them may receive some little;`
7 Atebodd Philip ef, "Ni byddai bara gwerth dau gant o ddarnau arian yn ddigon i roi tamaid bach i bob un ohonynt."
8one of his disciples — Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter — saith to him,
8 A dyma un o'i ddisgyblion, Andreas, brawd Simon Pedr, yn dweud wrtho,
9`There is one little lad here who hath five barley loaves, and two fishes, but these — what are they to so many?`
9 "Y mae bachgen yma a phum torth haidd a dau bysgodyn ganddo, ond beth yw hynny rhwng cynifer?"
10And Jesus said, `Make the men to sit down;` and there was much grass in the place, the men then sat down, in number, as it were, five thousand,
10 Dywedodd Iesu, "Gwnewch i'r bobl eistedd i lawr." Yr oedd llawer o laswellt yn y lle, ac eisteddodd y dynion i lawr, rhyw bum mil ohonynt.
11and Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those reclining, in like manner, also of the little fishes as much as they wished.
11 Yna cymerodd Iesu y torthau, ac wedi diolch fe'u rhannodd i'r rhai oedd yn eistedd. Gwnaeth yr un peth hefyd 'r pysgod, gan roi i bob un faint a fynnai.
12And when they were filled, he saith to his disciples, `Gather together the broken pieces that are over, that nothing may be lost;`
12 A phan oeddent wedi cael digon, meddai wrth ei ddisgyblion, "Casglwch y tameidiau sy'n weddill, rhag i ddim fynd yn wastraff."
13they gathered together, therefore, and filled twelve hand-baskets with broken pieces, from the five barley loaves that were over to those having eaten.
13 Fe'u casglasant, felly, a llenwi deuddeg basged 'r tameidiau yr oedd y bwytawyr wedi eu gadael yn weddill o'r pum torth haidd.
14The men, then, having seen the sign that Jesus did, said — `This is truly the Prophet, who is coming to the world;`
14 Pan welodd y bobl yr arwydd hwn yr oedd Iesu wedi ei wneud, dywedasant, "Hwn yn wir yw'r Proffwyd sy'n dod i'r byd."
15Jesus, therefore, having known that they are about to come, and to take him by force that they may make him king, retired again to the mountain himself alone.
15 Yna synhwyrodd Iesu eu bod am ddod a'i gipio ymaith i'w wneud yn frenin, a chiliodd i'r mynydd eto ar ei ben ei hun.
16And when evening came, his disciples went down to the sea,
16 Pan aeth hi'n hwyr, aeth ei ddisgyblion i lawr at y m
17and having entered into the boat, they were going over the sea to Capernaum, and darkness had already come, and Jesus had not come unto them,
17 ac i mewn i gwch, a dechrau croesi'r mr i Gapernaum. Yr oedd hi eisoes yn dywyll, ac nid oedd Iesu wedi dod atynt hyd yn hyn.
18the sea also — a great wind blowing — was being raised,
18 Yr oedd gwynt cryf yn chwythu a'r mr yn arw.
19having pushed onwards, therefore, about twenty-five or thirty furlongs, they behold Jesus walking on the sea, and coming nigh to the boat, and they were afraid;
19 Yna, wedi iddynt rwyfo am ryw bum neu chwe chilomedr, dyma hwy'n gweld Iesu yn cerdded ar y mr ac yn nesu at y cwch, a daeth ofn arnynt.
20and he saith to them, `I am [he], be not afraid;`
20 Ond meddai ef wrthynt, " Myfi yw; peidiwch ag ofni."
21they were willing then to receive him into the boat, and immediately the boat came unto the land to which they were going.
21 Yr oeddent am ei gymryd ef i'r cwch, ond ar unwaith cyrhaeddodd y cwch i'r lan yr oeddent yn hwylio ati.
22On the morrow, the multitude that was standing on the other side of the sea, having seen that there was no other little boat there except one — that into which his disciples entered — and that Jesus went not in with his disciples into the little boat, but his disciples went away alone,
22 Trannoeth, sylwodd y dyrfa oedd wedi aros ar yr ochr arall i'r mr na fu ond un cwch yno. Gwyddent nad oedd Iesu wedi mynd i'r cwch gyda'i ddisgyblion, ond eu bod wedi hwylio ymaith ar eu pennau eu hunain.
23(and other little boats came from Tiberias, nigh the place where they did eat the bread, the Lord having given thanks),
23 Ond yr oedd cychod eraill o Tiberias wedi dod yn agos i'r fan lle'r oeddent wedi bwyta'r bara ar l i'r Arglwydd roi diolch.
24when therefore the multitude saw that Jesus is not there, nor his disciples, they also themselves did enter into the boats, and came to Capernaum seeking Jesus;
24 Felly, pan welodd y dyrfa nad oedd Iesu yno, na'i ddisgyblion chwaith, aethant hwythau i'r cychod hyn a hwylio i Gapernaum i chwilio am Iesu.
25and having found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him, `Rabbi, when hast thou come hither?`
25 Fe'i cawsant ef yr ochr draw i'r mr, ac meddent wrtho, "Rabbi, pryd y daethost ti yma?"
26Jesus answered them and said, `Verily, verily, I say to you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw signs, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were satisfied;
26 Atebodd Iesu hwy, "Yn wir, yn wir, rwy'n dweud wrthych, yr ydych yn fy ngheisio i, nid am ichwi weld arwyddion, ond am ichwi fwyta'r bara a chael digon.
27work not for the food that is perishing, but for the food that is remaining to life age-during, which the Son of Man will give to you, for him did the Father seal — [even] God.`
27 Gweithiwch, nid am y bwyd sy'n darfod, ond am y bwyd sy'n para i fywyd tragwyddol. Mab y Dyn a rydd hwn ichwi, oherwydd arno ef y mae Duw y Tad wedi gosod sl ei awdurdod."
28They said therefore unto him, `What may we do that we may work the works of God?`
28 Yna gofynasant iddo, "Beth sydd raid inni ei wneud i gyflawni'r gweithredoedd a fyn Duw?"
29Jesus answered and said to them, `This is the work of God, that ye may believe in him whom He did send.`
29 Atebodd Iesu, "Dyma'r gwaith a fyn Duw: eich bod yn credu yn yr un y mae ef wedi ei anfon."
30They said therefore to him, `What sign, then, dost thou, that we may see and may believe thee? what dost thou work?
30 "Os felly," meddent wrtho, "pa arwydd a wnei di, i ni gael gweld a chredu ynot? Beth fedri di ei wneud?
31our fathers the manna did eat in the wilderness, according as it is having been written, Bread out of the heaven He gave them to eat.`
31 Cafodd ein hynafiaid fanna i'w fwyta yn yr anialwch, fel y mae'n ysgrifenedig, 'Rhoddodd iddynt fara o'r nef i'w fwyta.'"
32Jesus, therefore, said to them, `Verily, verily, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread out of the heaven; but my Father doth give you the true bread out of the heaven;
32 Yna dywedodd Iesu wrthynt, "Yn wir, yn wir, rwy'n dweud wrthych, nid Moses sydd wedi rhoi'r bara o'r nef ichwi, ond fy Nhad sydd yn rhoi ichwi y gwir fara o'r nef.
33for the bread of God is that which is coming down out of the heaven, and giving life to the world.`
33 Oherwydd bara Duw yw'r hwn sy'n disgyn o'r nef ac yn rhoi bywyd i'r byd."
34They said, therefore, unto him, `Sir, always give us this bread.`
34 Dywedasant wrtho ef, "Syr, rho'r bara hwn inni bob amser."
35And Jesus said to them, `I am the bread of the life; he who is coming unto me may not hunger, and he who is believing in me may not thirst — at any time;
35 Meddai Iesu wrthynt, "Myfi yw bara'r bywyd. Ni bydd eisiau bwyd byth ar y sawl sy'n dod ataf fi, ac ni bydd syched byth ar y sawl sy'n credu ynof fi.
36but I said to you, that ye also have seen me, and ye believe not;
36 Ond fel y dywedais wrthych, yr ydych chwi wedi fy ngweld, ac eto nid ydych yn credu.
37all that the Father doth give to me will come unto me; and him who is coming unto me, I may in no wise cast without,
37 Bydd pob un y mae'r Tad yn ei roi i mi yn dod ataf fi, ac ni fwriaf allan byth mo'r sawl sy'n dod ataf fi.
38because I have come down out of the heaven, not that I may do my will, but the will of Him who sent me.
38 Oherwydd yr wyf wedi disgyn o'r nef nid i wneud fy ewyllys fy hun ond ewyllys yr hwn a'm hanfonodd i.
39`And this is the will of the Father who sent me, that all that He hath given to me I may not lose of it, but may raise it up in the last day;
39 Ac ewyllys yr hwn a'm hanfonodd i yw hyn: nad wyf i golli neb o'r rhai y mae ef wedi eu rhoi imi, ond fy mod i'w hatgyfodi yn y dydd olaf.
40and this is the will of Him who sent me, that every one who is beholding the Son, and is believing in him, may have life age-during, and I will raise him up in the last day.`
40 Oherwydd ewyllys fy Nhad yw hyn: fod pob un sy'n gweld y Mab ac yn credu ynddo i gael bywyd tragwyddol. A byddaf fi'n ei atgyfodi yn y dydd olaf."
41The Jews, therefore, were murmuring at him, because he said, `I am the bread that came down out of the heaven;`
41 Yna dechreuodd yr Iddewon rwgnach amdano oherwydd iddo ddweud, "Myfi yw'r bara a ddisgynnodd o'r nef."
42and they said, `Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we have known? how then saith this one — Out of the heaven I have come down?`
42 "Onid hwn," meddent, "yw Iesu fab Joseff? Yr ydym ni'n adnabod ei dad a'i fam. Sut y gall ef ddweud yn awr, 'Yr wyf wedi disgyn o'r nef'?"
43Jesus answered, therefore, and said to them, `Murmur not one with another;
43 Atebodd Iesu hwy, "Peidiwch grwgnach ymhlith eich gilydd.
44no one is able to come unto me, if the Father who sent me may not draw him, and I will raise him up in the last day;
44 Ni all neb ddod ataf fi heb i'r Tad a'm hanfonodd i ei dynnu; a byddaf fi'n ei atgyfodi yn y dydd olaf.
45it is having been written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God; every one therefore who heard from the Father, and learned, cometh to me;
45 Y mae'n ysgrifenedig yn y proffwydi: 'Fe gnt oll eu dysgu gan Dduw.' Y mae pob un a wrandawodd ar y Tad ac a ddysgodd ganddo yn dod ataf fi.
46not that any one hath seen the Father, except he who is from God, he hath seen the Father.
46 Nid bod neb wedi gweld y Tad, ac eithrio'r hwn sydd oddi wrth Dduw; y mae hwnnw wedi gweld y Tad.
47`Verily, verily, I say to you, He who is believing in me, hath life age-during;
47 Yn wir, yn wir, rwy'n dweud wrthych, y mae gan y sawl sy'n credu fywyd tragwyddol.
48I am the bread of the life;
48 Myfi yw bara'r bywyd.
49your fathers did eat the manna in the wilderness, and they died;
49 Bwytaodd eich hynafiaid y manna yn yr anialwch, ac eto buont farw.
50this is the bread that out of the heaven is coming down, that any one may eat of it, and not die.
50 Ond dyma'r bara sy'n disgyn o'r nef, er mwyn i rywun gael bwyta ohono a pheidio marw.
51`I am the living bread that came down out of the heaven; if any one may eat of this bread he shall live — to the age; and the bread also that I will give is my flesh, that I will give for the life of the world.`
51 Myfi yw'r bara bywiol hwn a ddisgynnodd o'r nef. Caiff pwy bynnag sy'n bwyta o'r bara hwn fyw am byth. A'r bara sydd gennyf fi i'w roi yw fy nghnawd; a'i roi a wnaf dros fywyd y byd."
52The Jews, therefore, were striving with one another, saying, `How is this one able to give us [his] flesh to eat?`
52 Yna dechreuodd yr Iddewon ddadlau'n daer 'i gilydd, gan ddweud, "Sut y gall hwn roi ei gnawd i ni i'w fwyta?"
53Jesus, therefore, said to them, `Verily, verily, I say to you, If ye may not eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and may not drink his blood, ye have no life in yourselves;
53 Felly dywedodd Iesu wrthynt, "Yn wir, yn wir, rwy'n dweud wrthych, oni fwytewch gnawd Mab y Dyn ac yfed ei waed, ni bydd gennych fywyd ynoch.
54he who is eating my flesh, and is drinking my blood, hath life age-during, and I will raise him up in the last day;
54 Y mae gan y sawl sy'n bwyta fy nghnawd i ac yn yfed fy ngwaed i fywyd tragwyddol, a byddaf fi'n ei atgyfodi yn y dydd olaf.
55for my flesh truly is food, and my blood truly is drink;
55 Oherwydd fy nghnawd i yw'r gwir fwyd, a'm gwaed i yw'r wir ddiod.
56he who is eating my flesh, and is drinking my blood, doth remain in me, and I in him.
56 Y mae'r sawl sy'n bwyta fy nghnawd i ac yn yfed fy ngwaed i yn aros ynof fi, a minnau ynddo yntau.
57`According as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, he also who is eating me, even that one shall live because of me;
57 Y Tad byw a'm hanfonodd i, ac yr wyf fi'n byw oherwydd y Tad; felly'n union bydd y sawl sy'n fy mwyta i yn byw o'm herwydd innau.
58this is the bread that came down out of the heaven; not as your fathers did eat the manna, and died; he who is eating this bread shall live — to the age.`
58 Dyma'r bara a ddisgynnodd o'r nef. Nid yw hwn fel y bara a fwytaodd yr hynafiaid; buont hwy farw. Caiff y sawl sy'n bwyta'r bara hwn fyw am byth."
59These things he said in a synagogue, teaching in Capernaum;
59 Dywedodd Iesu y pethau hyn wrth ddysgu yn y synagog yng Nghapernaum.
60many, therefore, of his disciples having heard, said, `This word is hard; who is able to hear it?`
60 Wedi iddynt ei glywed, meddai llawer o'i ddisgyblion, "Geiriau caled yw'r rhain. Pwy all wrando arnynt?"
61And Jesus having known in himself that his disciples are murmuring about this, said to them, `Doth this stumble you?
61 Gwyddai Iesu ynddo'i hun fod ei ddisgyblion yn grwgnach am ei eiriau, ac meddai wrthynt, "A yw hyn yn peri tramgwydd i chwi?
62if then ye may behold the Son of Man going up where he was before?
62 Beth ynteu os gwelwch Fab y Dyn yn esgyn i'r lle'r oedd o'r blaen?
63the spirit it is that is giving life; the flesh doth not profit anything; the sayings that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life;
63 Yr Ysbryd sy'n rhoi bywyd; nid yw'r cnawd yn tycio dim. Y mae'r geiriau yr wyf fi wedi eu llefaru wrthych yn ysbryd ac yn fywyd.
64but there are certain of you who do not believe;` for Jesus had known from the beginning who they are who are not believing, and who is he who will deliver him up,
64 Ac eto y mae rhai ohonoch sydd heb gredu." Yr oedd Iesu, yn wir, yn gwybod o'r cychwyn pwy oedd y rhai oedd heb gredu, a phwy oedd yr un a'i bradychai.
65and he said, `Because of this I have said to you — No one is able to come unto me, if it may not have been given him from my Father.`
65 "Dyna pam," meddai, "y dywedais wrthych na allai neb ddod ataf fi heb i'r Tad beri iddo wneud hynny."
66From this [time] many of his disciples went away backward, and were no more walking with him,
66 O'r amser hwn trodd llawer o'i ddisgyblion yn eu holau a pheidio mwyach mynd o gwmpas gydag ef.
67Jesus, therefore, said to the twelve, `Do ye also wish to go away?`
67 Yna gofynnodd Iesu i'r Deuddeg, "A ydych chwithau hefyd, efallai, am fy ngadael?"
68Simon Peter, therefore, answered him, `Sir, unto whom shall we go? thou hast sayings of life age-during;
68 Atebodd Simon Pedr ef, "Arglwydd, at bwy yr awn ni? Y mae geiriau bywyd tragwyddol gennyt ti,
69and we have believed, and we have known, that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.`
69 ac yr ydym ni wedi dod i gredu a gwybod mai ti yw Sanct Duw."
70Jesus answered them, `Did not I choose you — the twelve? and of you — one is a devil.
70 Atebodd Iesu hwy, "Onid myfi a'ch dewisodd chwi'r Deuddeg? Ac eto, onid diafol yw un ohonoch?"
71And he spake of Judas, Simon`s [son], Iscariot, for he was about to deliver him up, being one of the twelve.
71 Yr oedd yn siarad am Jwdas fab Simon Iscariot, oherwydd yr oedd hwn, ac yntau'n un o'r Deuddeg, yn mynd i'w fradychu ef.
