¹And these three men cease from answering Job, for he [is] righteous in his own eyes,

¹Kui need kolm meest loobusid Iiobile vastamast, sellepärast et ta oma silmis õige oli,

²and burn doth the anger of Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram; against Job hath his anger burned, because of his justifying himself more than God;

²siis süttis põlema buuslase Eliihu, Baarakeli poja viha; ta oli Raami suguvõsast. Ja ta viha süttis põlema Iiobi vastu, sellepärast et too pidas ennast Jumalast õigemaks.

³and against his three friends hath his anger burned, because that they have not found an answer, and condemn Job.

³Ta viha süttis põlema ka tema kolme sõbra vastu, sellepärast et need ei olnud leidnud vastust, millega nad oleksid saanud Iiobi süüdi mõista.

⁴And Elihu hath waited earnestly beside Job with words, for they are older than he in days.

⁴Eliihu oli oodanud, kuni nad Iiobiga rääkisid, sest nad olid temast vanemad.

⁵And Elihu seeth that there is no answer in the mouth of the three men, and his anger burneth.

⁵Aga kui Eliihu nägi, et nende kolme mehe suus ei olnud vastust, siis ta viha süttis põlema.

⁶And Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite answereth and saith: — Young I [am] in days, and ye [are] age Therefore I have feared, And am afraid of shewing you my opinion.

⁶Ja buuslane Eliihu, Baarakeli poeg, rääkis ning ütles: 'Mina olen ealt noorim, aga teie olete elatanud, sellepärast ma olin tagasihoidlik ja kartsin teile kuulutada oma arvamust.

⁷I said: Days do speak, And multitude of years teach wisdom.

⁷Ma mõtlesin: Kõnelgu päevad ja aastate rohkus õpetagu tarkust.

⁸Surely a spirit is in man, And the breath of the Mighty One Doth cause them to understand.

⁸Tõesti, inimeste sees olev vaim, Kõigevägevama hingeõhk annab neile arukuse.

⁹The multitude are not wise, Nor do the aged understand judgment.

⁹Ei ole eakad mitte alati targemad ega mõista üksnes vanad, mis on õige.

¹⁰Therefore I have said: Hearken to me, I do shew my opinion — even I.

¹⁰Seepärast ma ütlen: Kuule mind, minagi tahan kuulutada oma arvamust.

¹¹Lo, I have waited for your words, I give ear unto your reasons, Till ye search out sayings.

¹¹Vaata, ma ootasin, mis teil on öelda, ma kuulatasin teie tarkust, siis kui te otsisite sõnu.

¹²And unto you I attend, And lo, there is no reasoner for Job, [Or] answerer of his sayings among you.

¹²Ma panin siis teid tähele, ja vaata, ükski teist ei kutsunud Iiobit korrale, ükski ei vastanud tema sõnadele.

¹³Lest ye say, We have found wisdom, God doth thrust him away, not man.

¹³Ärge seepärast mõtelge: 'Meie oleme leidnud tarkuse.' Jumal ajab ta minema, mitte inimene.

¹⁴And he hath not set in array words for me, And with your sayings I do not answer him.

¹⁴Minu vastu ei ole ta oma sõnu seadnud ja teie sõnadega ei taha ma temale vastata.

¹⁵(They have broken down, They have not answered again, They removed from themselves words.

¹⁵Nad on ehmunud, nad ei vasta enam, neil on sõnad lõppenud.

¹⁶And I have waited, but they do not speak, For they have stood still, They have not answered any more.)

¹⁶Kas pean ootama, sellepärast et nad ei räägi, et nad seisavad siin ega vasta enam?

¹⁷I answer, even I — my share, I shew my opinion — even I.

¹⁷Ma tahan anda vastuseks omaltki poolt osa, ma tahan kuulutada ka oma arvamust.

¹⁸For I have been full of words, Distressed me hath the spirit of my breast,

¹⁸Sest ma olen täis sõnu, vaim mu sees sunnib mind.

¹⁹Lo, my breast [is] as wine not opened, Like new bottles it is broken up.

¹⁹Vaata, mu sees on nagu vein, millel puudub väljapääs: otsekui uus nahkastja on see lõhkemas.

²⁰I speak, and there is refreshment to me, I open my lips and answer.

²⁰Ma pean rääkima, et saada enesele õhku, pean avama huuled ja vastama.

²¹Let me not, I pray you, accept the face of any, Nor unto man give flattering titles,

²¹Ma ei taha nüüd olla erapoolik ega kedagi meelitada.

²²For I have not known to give flattering titles, In a little doth my Maker take me away.

²²Sest ma ei või meelitada: kui kergesti võiks mu Looja mind siis ära võtta.
