¹Woe to thee that destroyest, and thou wast not destroyed; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! When thou hast ceased to destroy, thou shalt be destroyed; and when thou hast made an end of dealing treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.

¹ Gwae di, anrheithiwr na chefaist dy anrheithio, ti dwyllwr na chefaist dy dwyllo; pan beidi ag anrheithio, fe'th anrheithir, pan beidi � thwyllo, fe'th dwyllir di.

²O Jehovah, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou our arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

² O ARGLWYDD, trugarha wrthym, yr ydym yn disgwyl amdant; bydd yn nerth i ni bob bore, ac yn iachawdwriaeth i ni ar awr gyfyng.

³At the noise of the tumult the peoples are fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations are scattered.

³ Gan su373?n terfysg fe ffy pobloedd, gan dy daranu di fe wasgerir cenhedloedd.

⁴And your spoil shall be gathered as the caterpillar gathereth: as locusts leap shall men leap upon it.

⁴ Cesglir eich ysbail fel petai lindys yn ei gasglu; fel haid o locustiaid fe heidir o'i gylch.

⁵Jehovah is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with justice and righteousness.

⁵ Dyrchafwyd yr ARGLWYDD, fe drig yn yr uchelder; fe leinw Seion � barn a chyfiawnder,

⁶And there shall be stability in thy times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge: the fear of Jehovah is thy treasure.

⁶ ac ef fydd sicrwydd dy amserau. Doethineb a gwybodaeth fydd cyfoeth dy iachawdwriaeth, ac ofn yr ARGLWYDD fydd dy drysor.

⁷Behold, their valiant ones cry without; the ambassadors of peace weep bitterly.

⁷ Clyw! Y mae'r glewion yn galw o'r tu allan, a chenhadau heddwch yn wylo'n chwerw.

⁸The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: [the enemy] hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth not man.

⁸ Y mae'r priffyrdd yn ddiffaith, heb neb yn troedio'r ffordd; diddymwyd cyfamodau, diystyrwyd cytundebau, nid yw neb yn cyfrif dim.

⁹The land mourneth and languisheth; Lebanon is confounded and withereth away; Sharon is like a desert; and Bashan and Carmel shake off [their leaves].

⁹ Y mae'r wlad mewn galar a gofid, Lebanon wedi drysu a gwywo; aeth Saron yn anialwch, a Basan a Charmel heb ddail.

¹⁰Now will I arise, saith Jehovah; now will I lift up myself; now will I be exalted.

¹⁰ "Ond yn awr mi godaf," medd yr ARGLWYDD, "yn awr mi ymddyrchafaf, yn awr byddaf yn uchel.

¹¹Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath is a fire that shall devour you.

¹¹ Yr ydych yn feichiog o us ac yn esgor ar sofl; t�n yn eich ysu fydd eich anadl;

¹²And the peoples shall be as the burnings of lime, as thorns cut down, that are burned in the fire.

¹² bydd y bobl fel llwch calch, fel drain wedi eu torri a'u llosgi yn y t�n."

¹³Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.

¹³ Chwi rai pell, gwrandewch beth a wneuthum, ac ystyriwch fy nerth, chwi rai agos.

¹⁴The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling hath seized the godless ones: Who among us can dwell with the devouring fire? who among us can dwell with everlasting burnings?

¹⁴ Mae'r pechaduriaid yn Seion yn ofni, a'r annuwiol yn crynu gan ddychryn: "Pwy ohonom a all fyw gyda th�n ysol, a phwy a breswylia mewn llosgfa dragwyddol?"

¹⁵He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from taking a bribe, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from looking upon evil:

¹⁵ Y sawl sy'n rhodio'n gyfiawn ac yn dweud y gwir, sy'n gwrthod elw trawster, sy'n cau ei ddwrn rhag derbyn llwgrwobr, sy'n cau ei glustiau rhag clywed am lofruddio, sy'n cau ei lygaid rhag edrych ar anfadwaith.

¹⁶He shall dwell on high; his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks; his bread shall be given [him]; his waters shall be sure.

¹⁶ Y mae ef yn trigo yn yr uchelder, a'i loches yn amddiffynfeydd y creigiau, a'i fara'n dod iddo, a'i ddu373?r yn sicr.

¹⁷Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold a land that reacheth afar.

¹⁷ Fe w�l dy lygaid frenin yn ei degwch, a gwelant dir yn ymestyn ymhell;

¹⁸Thy heart shall muse on the terror: Where is he that counted, where is he that weighed [the tribute]? where is he that counted the towers?

¹⁸ byddi'n dwyn i gof yr ofnau: "Ble mae'r un fu'n cofnodi? Ble mae'r un fu'n pwyso? Ble mae'r un fu'n cyfri'r tyrau?"

¹⁹Thou shalt not see the fierce people, a people of a deep speech that thou canst not comprehend, of a strange tongue that thou canst not understand.

¹⁹ Ni chei weld pobl farbaraidd, pobl a'u hiaith yn rhy ddieithr i'w dirnad, a'u tafod yn rhy floesg i'w ddeall.

²⁰Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tent that shall not be removed, the stakes whereof shall never be plucked up, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.

²⁰ Edrych ar Seion, dinas ein huchelwyliau; bydded dy lygaid yn gweld Jerwsalem, bro diddanwch, pabell na symudir; ni thynnir un o'i phegiau byth, ac ni thorrir un o'i rhaffau.

²¹But there Jehovah will be with us in majesty, a place of broad rivers and streams, wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.

²¹ Yno, yn wir, y mae gennym yr ARGLWYDD yn ei fawredd, a mangre afonydd a ffrydiau llydain; ni fydd llong rwyfau'n tramwy yno, na llong fawr yn hwylio heibio.

²²For Jehovah is our judge, Jehovah is our lawgiver, Jehovah is our king; he will save us.

²² Yr ARGLWYDD yw ein barnwr, yr ARGLWYDD yw ein deddfwr; yr ARGLWYDD yw ein brenin, ac ef fydd yn ein gwaredu.

²³Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not strengthen the foot of their mast, they could not spread the sail: then was the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame took the prey.

²³ Y mae dy raffau'n llac, heb ddal yr hwylbren yn gadarn yn ei le, ac nid yw'r hwyliau wedi eu lledu. Yna fe rennir ysbail ac anrhaith mawr, a bydd y cloff yn rheibio ysglyfaeth.

²⁴And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.

²⁴ Ni ddywed neb o'r preswylwyr, "'Rwy'n glaf", a maddeuir i'r trigolion eu camweddau.
