1Doth not wisdom cry, And understanding put forth her voice?
1CXu ne vokas la sagxo? Kaj cxu la prudento ne auxdigas sian vocxon?
2On the top of high places by the way, Where the paths meet, she standeth;
2GXi staras sur la pinto de altajxoj, Apud la vojo, cxe la vojkrucxigxoj.
3Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, At the coming in at the doors, she crieth aloud:
3Apud la pordegoj, cxe la eniro en la urbon, CXe la eniro tra la pordoj, gxi kantas:
4Unto you, O men, I call; And my voice is to the sons of men.
4Al vi, ho viroj, mi vokas; Kaj mia vocxo sin turnas al la homoj:
5O ye simple, understand prudence; And, ye fools, be of an understanding heart.
5Komprenu, naivuloj, la prudenton, Kaj sensprituloj prenu en la koron.
6Hear, for I will speak excellent things; And the opening of my lips shall be right things.
6Auxskultu, cxar mi parolos gravajxon, Kaj gxustajxo eliros el mia busxo.
7For my mouth shall utter truth; And wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
7CXar mia lango parolos veron, Kaj malpiajxon abomenas miaj lipoj.
8All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; There is nothing crooked or perverse in them.
8Justaj estas cxiuj paroloj de mia busxo; Ili ne enhavas falson kaj malicon.
9They are all plain to him that understandeth, And right to them that find knowledge.

10Receive my instruction, and not silver; And knowledge rather than choice gold.

11For wisdom is better than rubies; And all the things that may be desired are not to be compared unto it.

12I wisdom have made prudence my dwelling, And find out knowledge [and] discretion.

13The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil: Pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, And the perverse mouth, do I hate.
13Timo antaux la Eternulo malamas malbonon, Fieron, malhumilon, kaj malbonan vojon; Malsinceran busxon mi malamas.
14Counsel is mine, and sound knowledge: I am understanding; I have might.
14De mi venas konsilo kaj bonarangxo; Mi estas prudento; al mi apartenas forto.
15By me kings reign, And princes decree justice.
15Per mi regxas la regxoj, Kaj la estroj donas legxojn de justeco.
16By me princes rule, And nobles, [even] all the judges of the earth.

17I love them that love me; And those that seek me diligently shall find me.
17Mi amas miajn amantojn; Kaj miaj sercxantoj min trovos.
18Riches and honor are with me; [Yea], durable wealth and righteousness.
18Ricxo kaj gloro estas cxe mi, Dauxra havo kaj justo.
19My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; And my revenue than choice silver.
19Mia frukto estas pli bona ol oro kaj ol plej pura oro; Kaj la rikolto de mi estas pli bona ol elektita argxento.
20I walk in the way of righteousness, In the midst of the paths of justice;

21That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance, And that I may fill their treasuries.

22Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of his way, Before his works of old.
22La Eternulo min formis en la komenco de Sia vojo, Antaux Siaj kreitajxoj, tre antikve.
23I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, Before the earth was.
23Antaux eterno mi estis firme fondita, en la komenco, Antaux la kreo de la tero.
24When there were no depths, I was brought forth, When there were no fountains abounding with water.
24Kiam ankoraux ne ekzistis la abismoj, mi estis jam naskita, Kiam ankoraux ne ekzistis fontoj, sxprucigantaj akvon.
25Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills was I brought forth;
25Antaux ol la montoj estis starigitaj, Antaux la altajxoj mi estis kreita;
26While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, Nor the beginning of the dust of the world.
26Kiam la tero ankoraux ne estis farita, nek la kampoj, Nek la komencaj polveroj de la mondo.
27When he established the heavens, I was there: When he set a circle upon the face of the deep,
27Dum Li firmigis la cxielojn, mi jam estis tie; Dum Li desegnis limojn sur la suprajxo de la abismo,
28When he made firm the skies above, When the fountains of the deep became strong,
28Dum Li fortikigis la nubojn supre, Dum Li firmigis la fontojn de la abismo,
29When he gave to the sea its bound, That the waters should not transgress his commandment, When he marked out the foundations of the earth;
29Dum Li donis Sian legxon al la maro, Por ke la akvoj ne transpasxu siajn bordojn, Kaj dum Li difinis la fundamentojn de la tero:
30Then I was by him, [as] a master workman; And I was daily [his] delight, Rejoicing always before him,
30Tiam mi estis cxe Li kiel konstruanto; Mi estis la gxojo de cxiuj tagoj, Ludante antaux Li cxiutempe.
31Rejoicing in his habitable earth; And my delight was with the sons of men.
31Mi ludas sur Lia mondo-tero; Kaj mia gxojo estas inter la homidoj.
32Now therefore, [my] sons, hearken unto me; For blessed are they that keep my ways.
32Kaj nun, infanoj, auxskultu min; Kaj felicxaj estos tiuj, kiuj iras laux miaj vojoj.
33Hear instruction, and be wise, And refuse it not.
33Auxskultu instruon kaj sagxigxu, Kaj ne forjxetu gxin.
34Blessed is the man that heareth me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors.
34Felicxa estas la homo, kiu min auxskultas, Kiu maldormas cxiutage cxe miaj pordoj, Kiu staras garde cxe la fostoj de miaj pordegoj.
35For whoso findeth me findeth life, And shall obtain favor of Jehovah.
35CXar kiu min trovis, tiu trovis vivon, Kaj akiros favoron de la Eternulo.
36But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: All they that hate me love death.
36Sed kiu maltrafas min, tiu difektas sian animon; CXiuj, kiuj min malamas, amas la morton.
