¹[A Psalm] of David. Strive thou, O Jehovah, with them that strive with me: Fight thou against them that fight against me.

¹De David. Batalu, ho Eternulo, kontraux tiuj, kiuj batalas kontraux mi; Militu kontraux tiuj, kiuj militas kontraux mi.

²Take hold of shield and buckler, And stand up for my help.

²Prenu sxildon kaj armilojn, Kaj starigxu, por helpi min.

³Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that pursue me: Say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.

³Kaj nudigu ponardegon, kaj starigxu kontraux miaj persekutantoj; Diru al mia animo:Via helpo Mi estas.

⁴Let them be put to shame and brought to dishonor that seek after my soul: Let them be turned back and confounded that devise my hurt.

⁴Hontigitaj kaj malhonoritaj estu tiuj, kiuj celas kontraux mia animo; Turnigxu reen kaj estu hontigitaj tiuj, kiuj intencas malbonon kontraux mi.

⁵Let them be as chaff before the wind, And the angel of Jehovah driving [them] on.

⁶Let their way be dark and slippery, And the angel of Jehovah pursuing them.

⁶Ilia vojo estu malluma kaj glitiga, Kaj angxelo de la Eternulo ilin persekutu.

⁷For without cause have they hid for me their net [in] a pit; Without cause have they digged [a pit] for my soul.

⁷CXar sen mia kulpo ili submetis por mi sian reton, Sen mia kulpo ili fosis sub mia animo.

⁸Let destruction come upon him unawares; And let his net that he hath hid catch himself: With destruction let him fall therein.

⁸Venu sur lin pereo neatendite, Kaj lia reto, kiun li kasxis, kaptu lin; Por pereo li falu en gxin.

⁹And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah: It shall rejoice in his salvation.

⁹Kaj mia animo gxojos pro la Eternulo, Triumfos pro Lia helpo.

¹⁰All my bones shall say, Jehovah, who is like unto thee, Who deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, Yea, the poor and the needy from him that robbeth him?

¹⁰CXiuj miaj ostoj diros:Ho Eternulo, kiu egalas Vin, Kiu liberigas mizerulon de lia perfortanto, Mizerulon kaj malricxulon de lia rabanto?

¹¹Unrighteous witnesses rise up; They ask me of things that I know not.

¹¹Starigxas kontraux mi krimaj atestantoj; Kion mi ne scias, pri tio ili min demandas.

¹²They reward me evil for good, [To] the bereaving of my soul.

¹²Ili pagas al mi malbonon por bono, Atencon kontraux mia animo.

¹³But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I afflicted my soul with fasting; And my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

¹³Kaj mi dum ilia malsano metis sur min sakajxon, Mi turmentis mian animon per fasto, Kaj mi pregxis sincere, kiel pri mi mem.

¹⁴I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother: I bowed down mourning, as one that bewaileth his mother.

¹⁴Mi kondutis, kvazaux ili estus miaj amikoj, miaj fratoj; Kiel homo, kiu funebras pri sia patrino, mi profunde malgxojis.

¹⁵But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: The abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew [it] not; They did tear me, and ceased not:

¹⁵Sed kiam mi difektigxis, ili gxojis, kaj ili kunigxis; Kunigxis kontraux mi la senkoruloj, kiam mi ne atendis: Ili sxiris kaj ne cxesis.

¹⁶Like the profane mockers in feasts, They gnashed upon me with their teeth.

¹⁶Laux la maniero de malpiaj parazitoj, Ili kunfrapis kontraux mi siajn dentojn.

¹⁷Lord, how long wilt thou look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, My darling from the lions.

¹⁷Mia Sinjoro! kiel longe Vi tion rigardos? Deturnu mian animon de iliaj atakoj, Mian solan de la leonoj.

¹⁸I will give thee thanks in the great assembly: I will praise thee among much people.

¹⁸Mi gloros Vin en granda kunveno, Meze de multe da popolo mi Vin lauxdos.

¹⁹Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; Neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.

¹⁹Ne gxoju pri mi miaj maljustaj malamikoj; Kaj tiuj, kiuj malamas min sen mia kulpo, ne moku per la okuloj.

²⁰For they speak not peace; But they devise deceitful words against them that are quiet in the land.

²⁰CXar ne pri paco ili parolas, Kaj kontraux la kvietuloj sur la tero ili pripensas malicajn intencojn.

²¹Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me; They said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.

²¹Ili largxe malfermis kontraux mi sian busxon, Kaj diris:Ha, ha! nia okulo vidis.

²²Thou hast seen it, O Jehovah; keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.

²²Vi vidis, ho Eternulo; ne silentu! Mia Sinjoro, ne malproksimigxu de mi.

²³Stir up thyself, and awake to the justice [due] unto me, [Even] unto my cause, my God and my Lord.

²³Vekigxu kaj levigxu, por fari al mi jugxon, Mia Dio kaj mia Sinjoro, pri mia disputo.

²⁴Judge me, O Jehovah my God, according to thy righteousness; And let them not rejoice over me.

²⁴Jugxu min laux Via justeco, ho Eternulo, mia Dio; Kaj ili ne gxoju pri mi.

²⁵Let them not say in their heart, Aha, so would we have it: Let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

²⁵Ili ne diru en sia koro:Ha, ha! tio estas laux nia deziro; Ili ne diru:Ni lin englutis.

²⁶Let them be put to shame and confounded together that rejoice at my hurt: Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor that magnify themselves against me.

²⁶Ili estu hontigitaj kaj malhonoritaj cxiuj, kiuj gxojas pro mia malfelicxo; Vestigxu per honto kaj malhonoro tiuj, kiuj fanfaronas kontraux mi.

²⁷Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: Yea, let them say continually, Jehovah be magnified, Who hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

²⁷Triumfu kaj gxoju tiuj, kiuj deziras justecon por mi; Kaj ili diru cxiam:Granda estas la Eternulo, Kiu deziras bonstaton por Sia sklavo.

²⁸And my tongue shall talk of thy righteousness [And] of thy praise all the day long.
