¹A Psalm of David. I will sing of lovingkindness and justice: Unto thee, O Jehovah, will I sing praises.

¹Taaveti laul. Ma laulan heldusest ja õigusest ja mängin sinule, Issand.

²I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way: Oh when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

²Ma mõtlen käia laitmatut teed. Millal sina tuled mu juurde? Ma tahan vaga südamega käia oma kojas.

³I will set no base thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; It shall not cleave unto me.

³Ei ma sea oma silma ette tühje asju; ma vihkan taganejate tegusid, ei need hakka mu külge.

⁴A perverse heart shall depart from me: I will know no evil thing.

⁴Pöörane süda olgu kaugel minust, ei ma salli kurja.

⁵Whoso privily slandereth his neighbor, him will I destroy: Him that hath a high look and a proud heart will I not suffer.

⁵Kes salaja laimab oma ligimest, selle ma hävitan; kel ülbed silmad ja hooplev süda, seda ma ei talu.

⁶Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: He that walketh in a perfect way, he shall minister unto me.

⁶Mu silmad otsivad ustavaid maa peal, et nad elaksid mu juures. Kes käib laitmatut teed, see peab olema minu teenija.

⁷He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: He that speaketh falsehood shall not be established before mine eyes.

⁷Ei tohi mu koja keskele astuda see, kes teeb pettust; kes räägib valet, ei jää püsima mu silma ette.

⁸Morning by morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land; To cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of Jehovah.

⁸Igal hommikul ma hävitan kõik õelad maa pealt, kaotan Issanda linnast kõik ülekohtutegijad.
