1Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish; and they were among the mighty men, his helpers in war.
1Voici ceux qui se rendirent auprès de David à Tsiklag, lorsqu'il était encore éloigné de la présence de Saül, fils de Kis. Ils faisaient partie des vaillants hommes qui lui prêtèrent leur secours pendant la guerre.
1ואלה הבאים אל דויד לציקלג עוד עצור מפני שאול בן קיש והמה בגבורים עזרי המלחמה׃
2They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in slinging stones and in shooting arrows from the bow: they were of Saul's brethren of Benjamin.
2C'étaient des archers, lançant des pierres de la main droite et de la main gauche, et tirant des flèches avec leur arc: ils étaient de Benjamin, du nombre des frères de Saül.
2נשקי קשת מימינים ומשמאלים באבנים ובחצים בקשת מאחי שאול מבנימן׃
3The chief was Ahiezer; then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite, and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth, and Beracah, and Jehu the Anathothite,
3Le chef Achiézer et Joas, fils de Schemaa, de Guibea; Jeziel, et Péleth, fils d'Azmaveth; Beraca; Jéhu, d'Anathoth;
3הראש אחיעזר ויואש בני השמעה הגבעתי ויזואל ופלט בני עזמות וברכה ויהוא הענתתי׃
4and Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty, and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad the Gederathite,
4Jischmaeja, de Gabaon, vaillant parmi les trente et chef des trente; Jérémie; Jachaziel; Jochanan; Jozabad, de Guedéra;
4וישמעיה הגבעוני גבור בשלשים ועל השלשים וירמיה ויחזיאל ויוחנן ויוזבד הגדרתי׃
5Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,

5אלעוזי וירימות ובעליה ושמריהו ושפטיהו החריפי׃
6Elkanah, and Isshiah, and Azarel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korahites,
6Elkana, Jischija, Azareel, Joézer et Jaschobeam, Koréites;
6אלקנה וישיהו ועזראל ויועזר וישבעם הקרחים׃
7and Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.

7ויועאלה וזבדיה בני ירחם מן הגדור׃
8And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David to the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for war, that could handle shield and spear; whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the roes upon the mountains;
8Parmi les Gadites, des hommes vaillants partirent pour se rendre auprès de David dans la forteresse du désert, des soldats exercés à la guerre, armés du bouclier et de la lance, semblables à des lions, et aussi prompts que des gazelles sur les montagnes.
8ומן הגדי נבדלו אל דויד למצד מדברה גברי החיל אנשי צבא למלחמה ערכי צנה ורמח ופני אריה פניהם וכצבאים על ההרים למהר׃
9Ezer the chief, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
9Ezer, le chef; Abdias, le second; Eliab, le troisième;
9עזר הראש עבדיה השני אליאב השלשי׃
10Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
10Mischmanna, le quatrième; Jérémie, le cinquième;
10משמנה הרביעי ירמיה החמשי׃
11Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
11Attaï, le sixième; Eliel, le septième;
11עתי הששי אליאל השבעי׃
12Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
12Jochanan, le huitième; Elzabad, le neuvième;
12יוחנן השמיני אלזבד התשיעי׃
13Jeremiah the tenth, Machbannai the eleventh.
13Jérémie, le dixième; Macbannaï, le onzième.
13ירמיהו העשירי מכבני עשתי עשר׃
14These of the sons of Gad were captains of the host: he that was least was equal to a hundred, and the greatest to a thousand.
14C'étaient des fils de Gad, chefs de l'armée; un seul, le plus petit, pouvait s'attaquer à cent hommes, et le plus grand à mille.
14אלה מבני גד ראשי הצבא אחד למאה הקטן והגדול לאלף׃
15These are they that went over the Jordan in the first month, when it had overflowed all its banks; and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both toward the east, and toward the west.
15Voilà ceux qui passèrent le Jourdain au premier mois, lorsqu'il débordait sur toutes ses rives, et qui mirent en fuite tous les habitants des vallées, à l'orient et à l'occident.
15אלה הם אשר עברו את הירדן בחדש הראשון והוא ממלא על כל גדיתיו ויבריחו את כל העמקים למזרח ולמערב׃
16And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the stronghold unto David.
16Il y eut aussi des fils de Benjamin et de Juda qui se rendirent auprès de David dans la forteresse.
16ויבאו מן בני בנימן ויהודה עד למצד לדויד׃
17And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, my heart shall be knit unto you; but if [ye be come] to betray me to mine adversaries, seeing there is no wrong in my hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.
17David sortit au-devant d'eux, et leur adressa la parole, en disant: Si vous venez à moi dans de bonnes intentions pour me secourir, mon coeur s'unira à vous; mais si c'est pour me tromper au profit de mes ennemis, quand je ne commets aucune violence, que le Dieu de nos pères le voie et qu'il fasse justice!
17ויצא דויד לפניהם ויען ויאמר להם אם לשלום באתם אלי לעזרני יהיה לי עליכם לבב ליחד ואם לרמותני לצרי בלא חמס בכפי ירא אלהי אבותינו ויוכח׃
18Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the thirty, [and he said], Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thy helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
18Amasaï, l'un des principaux officiers, fut revêtu de l'esprit, et dit: Nous sommes à toi, David, et avec toi, fils d'Isaï! Paix, paix à toi, et paix à ceux qui te secourent, car ton Dieu t'a secouru! Et David les accueillit, et les plaça parmi les chefs de la troupe.
18ורוח לבשה את עמשי ראש השלושים לך דויד ועמך בן ישי שלום שלום לך ושלום לעזרך כי עזרך אלהיך ויקבלם דויד ויתנם בראשי הגדוד׃
19Of Manasseh also there fell away some to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not; for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall away to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.
19Des hommes de Manassé se joignirent à David, lorsqu'il alla faire la guerre à Saül avec les Philistins. Mais ils ne furent pas en aide aux Philistins; car, après s'être consultés, les princes des Philistins renvoyèrent David, en disant: Il passerait du côté de son maître Saül, au péril de nos têtes.
19וממנשה נפלו על דויד בבאו עם פלשתים על שאול למלחמה ולא עזרם כי בעצה שלחהו סרני פלשתים לאמר בראשינו יפול אל אדניו שאול׃
20As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of thousands that were of Manasseh.
20Quand il retourna à Tsiklag, voici ceux de Manassé qui se joignirent à lui: Adnach, Jozabad, Jediaël, Micaël, Jozabad, Elihu et Tsilthaï, chefs des milliers de Manassé.
20בלכתו אל ציקלג נפלו עליו ממנשה עדנח ויוזבד וידיעאל ומיכאל ויוזבד ואליהוא וצלתי ראשי האלפים אשר למנשה׃
21And they helped David against the band of rovers: for they were all mighty men of valor, and were captains in the host.
21Ils prêtèrent leur secours à David contre la troupe des pillards Amalécites , car ils étaient tous de vaillants hommes, et ils furent chefs dans l'armée.
21והמה עזרו עם דויד על הגדוד כי גבורי חיל כלם ויהיו שרים בצבא׃
22For from day to day men came to David to help him, until there was a great host, like the host of God.
22Et de jour en jour des gens arrivaient auprès de David pour le secourir, jusqu'à ce qu'il eût un grand camp, comme un camp de Dieu.
22כי לעת יום ביום יבאו על דויד לעזרו עד למחנה גדול כמחנה אלהים׃
23And these are the numbers of the heads of them that were armed for war, who came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of Jehovah.
23Voici le nombre des hommes armés pour la guerre qui se rendirent auprès de David à Hébron, afin de lui transférer la royauté de Saül, selon l'ordre de l'Eternel.
23ואלה מספרי ראשי החלוץ לצבא באו על דויד חברונה להסב מלכות שאול אליו כפי יהוה׃
24The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, armed for war.
24Fils de Juda, portant le bouclier et la lance, six mille huit cents, armés pour la guerre.
24בני יהודה נשאי צנה ורמח ששת אלפים ושמונה מאות חלוצי צבא׃
25Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.
25Des fils de Siméon, hommes vaillants à la guerre, sept mille cent.
25מן בני שמעון גבורי חיל לצבא שבעת אלפים ומאה׃
26Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.
26Des fils de Lévi, quatre mille six cents;
26מן בני הלוי ארבעת אלפים ושש מאות׃
27And Jehoiada was the leader of [the house of] Aaron; and with him were three thousand and seven hundred,
27et Jehojada, prince d'Aaron, et avec lui trois mille sept cents;
27ויהוידע הנגיד לאהרן ועמו שלשת אלפים ושבע מאות׃
28and Zadok, a young man mighty of valor, and of his father's house twenty and two captains.
28et Tsadok, vaillant jeune homme, et la maison de son père, vingt-deux chefs.
28וצדוק נער גבור חיל ובית אביו שרים עשרים ושנים׃
29And of the children of Benjamin, the brethren of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept their allegiance to the house of Saul.
29Des fils de Benjamin, frères de Saül, trois mille; car jusqu'alors la plus grande partie d'entre eux étaient restés fidèles à la maison de Saül.
29ומן בני בנימן אחי שאול שלשת אלפים ועד הנה מרביתם שמרים משמרת בית שאול׃
30And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous men in their fathers' houses.
30Des fils d'Ephraïm, vingt mille huit cents, hommes vaillants, gens de renom, d'après les maisons de leurs pères.
30ומן בני אפרים עשרים אלף ושמונה מאות גבורי חיל אנשי שמות לבית אבותם׃
31And of the half-tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, who were mentioned by name, to come and make David king.
31De la demi-tribu de Manassé, dix-huit mille, qui furent nominativement désignés pour aller établir roi David.
31ומחצי מטה מנשה שמונה עשר אלף אשר נקבו בשמות לבוא להמליך את דויד׃
32And of the children of Issachar, men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.
32Des fils d'Issacar, ayant l'intelligence des temps pour savoir ce que devait faire Israël, deux cents chefs, et tous leurs frères sous leurs ordres.
32ומבני יששכר יודעי בינה לעתים לדעת מה יעשה ישראל ראשיהם מאתים וכל אחיהם על פיהם׃
33Of Zebulun, such as were able to go out in the host, that could set the battle in array, with all manner of instruments of war, fifty thousand, and that could order [the battle array, and were] not of double heart.
33De Zabulon, cinquante mille, en état d'aller à l'armée, munis pour le combat de toutes les armes de guerre, et prêts à livrer bataille d'un coeur résolu.
33מזבלון יוצאי צבא ערכי מלחמה בכל כלי מלחמה חמשים אלף ולעדר בלא לב ולב׃
34And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.
34De Nephthali, mille chefs, et avec eux trente-sept mille, portant le bouclier et la lance.
34ומנפתלי שרים אלף ועמהם בצנה וחנית שלשים ושבעה אלף׃
35And of the Danites that could set the battle in array, twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.
35Des Danites, armés pour la guerre, vingt-huit mille six cents.
35ומן הדני ערכי מלחמה עשרים ושמונה אלף ושש מאות׃
36And of Asher, such as were able to go out in the host, that could set the battle in array, forty thousand.
36D'Aser, en état d'aller à l'armée et prêts à combattre: quarante mille.
36ומאשר יוצאי צבא לערך מלחמה ארבעים אלף׃
37And on the other side of the Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half-tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, a hundred and twenty thousand.
37Et de l'autre côté du Jourdain, des Rubénites, des Gadites, et de la demi-tribu de Manassé, avec toutes les armes de guerre, cent vingt mille.
37ומעבר לירדן מן הראובני והגדי וחצי שבט מנשה בכל כלי צבא מלחמה מאה ועשרים אלף׃
38All these being men of war, that could order the battle array, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
38Tous ces hommes, gens de guerre, prêts à combattre, arrivèrent à Hébron en sincérité de coeur pour établir David roi sur tout Israël. Et tout le reste d'Israël était également unanime pour faire régner David.
38כל אלה אנשי מלחמה עדרי מערכה בלבב שלם באו חברונה להמליך את דויד על כל ישראל וגם כל שרית ישראל לב אחד להמליך את דויד׃
39And they were there with David three days, eating and drinking; for their brethren had made preparation for them.
39Ils furent là trois jours avec David, mangeant et buvant, car leurs frères leur avaient préparé des vivres.
39ויהיו שם עם דויד ימים שלושה אכלים ושותים כי הכינו להם אחיהם׃
40Moreover they that were nigh unto them, [even] as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, victuals of meal, cakes of figs, and clusters of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep in abundance: for there was joy in Israel.
40Et même ceux qui habitaient près d'eux jusqu'à Issacar, à Zabulon et à Nephthali, apportaient des aliments sur des ânes, sur des chameaux, sur des mulets et sur des boeufs, des mets de farine, des masses de figues sèches et de raisins secs, du vin, de l'huile, des boeufs et des brebis en abondance, car Israël était dans la joie.
40וגם הקרובים אליהם עד יששכר וזבלון ונפתלי מביאים לחם בחמורים ובגמלים ובפרדים ובבקר מאכל קמח דבלים וצמוקים ויין ושמן ובקר וצאן לרב כי שמחה בישראל׃
