¹Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I gave order to the churches of Galatia, so also do ye.

¹Pour ce qui concerne la collecte en faveur des saints, agissez, vous aussi, comme je l'ai ordonné aux Eglises de la Galatie.

¹ועל דבר קבוץ התרומות לעזרת הקדושים כאשר תקנתי לקהלות אשר בגלטיא כן תעשו גם אתם׃

²Upon the first day of the week let each one of you lay by him in store, as he may prosper, that no collections be made when I come.

²Que chacun de vous, le premier jour de la semaine, mette à part chez lui ce qu'il pourra, selon sa prospérité, afin qu'on n'attende pas mon arrivée pour recueillir les dons.

²בכל אחד בשבת יניח אצלו איש איש מכם ויאצר את אשר עלה בידו למען אשר בבאי לא יקבץ עוד׃

³And when I arrive, whomsoever ye shall approve, them will I send with letters to carry your bounty unto Jerusalem:

³Et quand je serai venu, j'enverrai avec des lettres, pour porter vos libéralités à Jérusalem, les personnes que vous aurez approuvées.

³ואני בבאי את אשר תמצאו נאמנים עם אגרות אשלח אתם להביא את נדבתכם לירושלים׃

⁴and if it be meet for me to go also, they shall go with me.

⁴Si la chose mérite que j'y aille moi-même, elles feront le voyage avec moi.

⁴ואם שוה הטרח שגם אנכי אלך שמה אתי ילכו׃

⁵But I will come unto you, when I shall have passed through Macedonia; for I pass through Macedonia;

⁵J'irai chez vous quand j'aurai traversé la Macédoine, car je traverserai la Macédoine.

⁵ואני אבא אליכם אחרי עברי את מקדוניא כי את מקדוניא אעברה׃

⁶but with you it may be that I shall abide, or even winter, that ye may set me forward on my journey whithersoever I go.

⁶Peut-être séjournerai-je auprès de vous, ou même y passerai-je l'hiver, afin que vous m'accompagniez là où je me rendrai.

⁶ואולי אשב עמכם ימים אחדים או כל ימי הסתו למען תלוני אל אשר אלך שמה׃

⁷For I do not wish to see you now by the way; for I hope to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.

⁷Je ne veux pas cette fois vous voir en passant, mais j'espère demeurer quelque temps auprès de vous, si le Seigneur le permet.

⁷כי כעת אין רצוני לראתכם אך בעברי כי אקוה לשבת אצלכם זמן מה אם ירצה יהוה׃

⁸But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost;

⁸Je resterai néanmoins à Ephèse jusqu'à la Pentecôte;

⁸אבל אשב באפסוס עד חג השבועות׃

⁹for a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

⁹car une porte grande et d'un accès efficace m'est ouverte, et les adversaires sont nombreux.

⁹כי נפתח לי פתח גדול ורב פעלים ורבים המתקוממים׃

¹⁰Now if Timothy come, see that he be with you without fear; for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do:

¹⁰Si Timothée arrive, faites en sorte qu'il soit sans crainte parmi vous, car il travaille comme moi à l'oeuvre du Seigneur.

¹⁰וכי יבוא אליכם טימותיוס ראו נא שיהיה עמכם בלי פחד כי מלאכת יהוה הוא עשה כמו גם אני׃

¹¹let no man therefore despise him. But set him forward on his journey in peace, that he may come unto me: for I expect him with the brethren.

¹¹Que personne donc ne le méprise. Accompagnez-le en paix, afin qu'il vienne vers moi, car je l'attends avec les frères.

¹¹על כן איש אל יבז אתו אך שלחהו בשלום למען יבא אלי כי אחכה לו עם האחים׃

¹²But as touching Apollos the brother, I besought him much to come unto you with the brethren: and it was not all [his] will to come now; but he will come when he shall have opportunity.

¹²Pour ce qui est du frère Apollos, je l'ai beaucoup exhorté à se rendre chez vous avec les frères, mais ce n'était décidément pas sa volonté de le faire maintenant; il partira quand il en aura l'occasion.

¹²ואפולוס האח הנה פצרתי בו לבוא אליכם עם האחים אך לא היה ברצונו לבוא עתה אמנם בוא יבוא במצאו עת נכונה׃

¹³Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

¹³Veillez, demeurez fermes dans la foi, soyez des hommes, fortifiez-vous.

¹³שקדו ועמדו באמונה התאששו והתחזקו׃

¹⁴Let all that ye do be done in love.

¹⁴Que tout ce que vous faites se fasse avec charité!

¹⁴וכל דבריכם יעשו באהבה׃

¹⁵Now I beseech you, brethren (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have set themselves to minister unto the saints),

¹⁵Encore une recommandation que je vous adresse, frères. Vous savez que la famille de Stéphanas est les prémices de l'Achaïe, et qu'elle s'est dévouée au service des saints.

¹⁵ואבקשה מכם אחי הלא ידעתם את בית אסטפנוס שהוא ראשית אכיא ויתנו את נפשם לשרות הקדשים׃

¹⁶that ye also be in subjection unto such, and to every one that helpeth in the work and laboreth.

¹⁶Ayez vous aussi de la déférence pour de tels hommes, et pour tous ceux qui travaillent à la même oeuvre.

¹⁶לכן הכנעו גם אתם מפני אנשים כאלה ומפני כל אשר יעבד עמהם ויעמלו׃

¹⁷And I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they supplied.

¹⁷Je me réjouis de la présence de Stéphanas, de Fortunatus et d'Achaïcus; ils ont suppléé à votre absence,

¹⁷והנני שמח בביאת אסטפנוס ופרטונטוס ואכיקוס כי המה מלאו את אשר חסרתי אתכם׃

¹⁸For they refreshed my spirit and yours: acknowledge ye therefore them that are such.

¹⁸car ils ont tranquillisé mon esprit et le vôtre. Sachez donc apprécier de tels hommes.

¹⁸ויניחו את רוחי ואת רוחכם על כן הכירו אנשים כאלה׃

¹⁹The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Prisca salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.

¹⁹Les Eglises d'Asie vous saluent. Aquilas et Priscille, avec l'Eglise qui est dans leur maison, vous saluent beaucoup dans le Seigneur.

¹⁹הקהלות אשר באסיא שאלות לשלומכם עקילס ופריסקלא וגם הקהלה אשר בביתם מרבים לשאל לשלומכם באדנינו׃

²⁰All the brethren salute you. Salute one another with a holy kiss.

²⁰Tous les frères vous saluent. Saluez-vous les uns les autres par un saint baiser.

²⁰האחים כלם שאלים לשלומכם שאלו לשלום איש את רעהו בנשקה הקדושה׃

²¹The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand.

²¹Je vous salue, moi Paul, de ma propre main.

²¹שאלת שלומכם בידי אני פולוס׃

²²If any man loveth not the Lord, let him be anathema. Maranatha.

²²Si quelqu'un n'aime pas le Seigneur, qu'il soit anathème! Maranatha.

²²מי שלא יאהב את האדון ישוע המשיח יחרם מרן אתא׃

²³The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

²³Que la grâce du Seigneur Jésus soit avec vous!

²³חסד ישוע המשיח אדנינו יהי עמכם׃

²⁴My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

²⁴Mon amour est avec vous tous en Jésus-Christ.
