¹It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not even among the Gentiles, that one [of you] hath his father's wife.

¹On entend dire généralement qu'il y a parmi vous de l'impudicité, et une impudicité telle qu'elle ne se rencontre pas même chez les païens; c'est au point que l'un de vous a la femme de son père.

¹שמועה נשמעת בארץ כי נמצאה זנות ביניכם ואף זנות אשר בגוים לא ספר כמוה כי יקח איש את אשת אביו׃

²And ye are puffed up, and did not rather mourn, that he that had done this deed might be taken away from among you.

²Et vous êtes enflés d'orgueil! Et vous n'avez pas été plutôt dans l'affliction, afin que celui qui a commis cet acte fût ôté du milieu de vous!

²ואתם עוד גבהי רוח תחת אשר היה לכם להתאבל למען יוסר מקרבכם עשה המעשה הזה׃

³For I verily, being absent in body but present in spirit, have already as though I were present judged him that hath so wrought this thing,

³Pour moi, absent de corps, mais présent d'esprit, j'ai déjà jugé, comme si j'étais présent, celui qui a commis un tel acte.

³הן אנכי הרחוק מכם בגופי וקרוב ברוחי כבר דנתי כאלו הייתי אצלכם על האיש אשר עשה כדבר הזה׃

⁴in the name of our Lord Jesus, ye being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus,

⁴Au nom du Seigneur Jésus, vous et mon esprit étant assemblés avec la puissance de notre Seigneur Jésus,

⁴בשם אדנינו ישוע המשיח בהקהלתכם יחד ורוחי אתכם עם גבורת אדנינו ישוע המשיח׃

⁵to deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

⁵qu'un tel homme soit livré à Satan pour la destruction de la chair, afin que l'esprit soit sauvé au jour du Seigneur Jésus.

⁵למסר את האיש ההוא לשטן לאבדן הבשר למען יושע הרוח ביום האדון ישוע׃

⁶Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

⁶C'est bien à tort que vous vous glorifiez. Ne savez-vous pas qu'un peu de levain fait lever toute la pâte?

⁶לא טוב התהללכם הלא ידעתם כי מעט שאר מחמץ את כל העסה׃

⁷Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, even as ye are unleavened. For our passover also hath been sacrificed, [even] Christ:

⁷Faites disparaître le vieux levain, afin que vous soyez une pâte nouvelle, puisque vous êtes sans levain, car Christ, notre Pâque, a été immolé.

⁷בערו את השאור הישן למען תהיו עסה חדשה הלא לחם מצות אתם כי גם לנו פסחנו הנזבח בעדנו הוא המשיח׃

⁸wherefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

⁸Célébrons donc la fête, non avec du vieux levain, non avec un levain de malice et de méchanceté, mais avec les pains sans levain de la pureté et de la vérité.

⁸על כן נחגה נא החג לא בשאר ישן ולא בשאר הרע והרשע כי אם במצות הישר והאמת׃

⁹I wrote unto you in my epistle to have no company with fornicators;

⁹Je vous ai écrit dans ma lettre de ne pas avoir des relations avec les impudiques, -

⁹כתבתי לכם באגרת שלא תתערבו עם הזנים׃

¹⁰not at all [meaning] with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous and extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world:

¹⁰non pas d'une manière absolue avec les impudiques de ce monde, ou avec les cupides et les ravisseurs, ou avec les idolâtres; autrement, il vous faudrait sortir du monde.

¹⁰ואין דעתי בזאת על הזנים שבעולם הזה או על בצעי בצע וגזלנים ועבדי אלילים כי אז יהיה לכם לצאת מן העולם׃

¹¹but as it is, I wrote unto you not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one no, not to eat.

¹¹Maintenant, ce que je vous ai écrit, c'est de ne pas avoir des relations avec quelqu'un qui, se nommant frère, est impudique, ou cupide, ou idolâtre, ou outrageux, ou ivrogne, ou ravisseur, de ne pas même manger avec un tel homme.

¹¹אך זאת כתבתי לכם לבלתי התערב עם איש אשר אח יקרא והוא זנה או בצע בצע או עבד אלילים או מגדף או סבא או גזלן עם האיש אשר כזה גם לא תאכלו׃

¹²For what have I to do with judging them that are without? Do not ye judge them that are within?

¹²Qu'ai-je, en effet, à juger ceux du dehors? N'est-ce pas ceux du dedans que vous avez à juger?

¹²כי מה לי לשפט את אשר בחוץ הלא תשפטו את אשר בבית׃

¹³But them that are without God judgeth. Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.

¹³Pour ceux du dehors, Dieu les juge. Otez le méchant du milieu de vous.

¹³ואשר בחוץ האלהים ישפטם ואתם תבערו את הרע מקרבכם׃
