¹If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.

¹Si donc vous êtes ressuscités avec Christ, cherchez les choses d'en haut, où Christ est assis à la droite de Dieu.

¹לכן אם קמתם עם המשיח בקשו את אשר למעלה אשר המשיח ישב שם לימין האלהים׃

²Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth.

²Affectionnez-vous aux choses d'en haut, et non à celles qui sont sur la terre.

²את אשר למעלה יהגה לבבכם לא את אשר בארץ׃

³For ye died, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

³Car vous êtes morts, et votre vie est cachée avec Christ en Dieu.

³כי מתם וחייכם צפונים עם המשיח באלהים׃

⁴When Christ, [who is] our life, shall be manifested, then shall ye also with him be manifested in glory.

⁴Quand Christ, votre vie, paraîtra, alors vous paraîtrez aussi avec lui dans la gloire.

⁴בעת הגלות המשיח אשר הוא חייכם גם אתם תגלו עמו בכבוד׃

⁵Put to death therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry;

⁵Faites donc mourir les membres qui sont sur la terre, l'impudicité, l'impureté, les passions, les mauvais désirs, et la cupidité, qui est une idolâtrie.

⁵על כן תמותתו את אבריכם בארץ את הזנות והטמאה והזמה והתאות הרעות ונטות אחרי הבצע אשר היא עבודת אלילים׃

⁶for which things' sake cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience:

⁶C'est à cause de ces choses que la colère de Dieu vient sur les fils de la rébellion,

⁶כי בגלל אלה בא חרון אלהים על בני חמרי׃

⁷wherein ye also once walked, when ye lived in these things;

⁷parmi lesquels vous marchiez autrefois, lorsque vous viviez dans ces péchés.

⁷אשר גם אתם הלכתם בהם מלפנים בחיותכם בתוכם׃

⁸but now do ye also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, railing, shameful speaking out of your mouth:

⁸Mais maintenant, renoncez à toutes ces choses, à la colère, à l'animosité, à la méchanceté, à la calomnie, aux paroles déshonnêtes qui pourraient sortir de votre bouche.

⁸אך עתה הסירו מכם כל אלה את הרגז את הכעס את הרשע את הגדוף ואת דברי נבלה מפיכם׃

⁹lie not one to another; seeing that ye have put off the old man with his doings,

⁹Ne mentez pas les uns aux autres, vous étant dépouillés du vieil homme et de ses oeuvres,

⁹ואל תשקרו איש בעמיתו כי פשטתם את האדם הישן עם פעלותיו׃

¹⁰and have put on the new man, that is being renewed unto knowledge after the image of him that created him:

¹⁰et ayant revêtu l'homme nouveau, qui se renouvelle, dans la connaissance, selon l'image de celui qui l'a créé.

¹⁰ולבשתם את האדם החדש המתחדש בדעת כצלם בראו׃

¹¹where there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondman, freeman; but Christ is all, and in all.

¹¹Il n'y a ici ni Grec ni Juif, ni circoncis ni incirconcis, ni barbare ni Scythe, ni esclave ni libre; mais Christ est tout et en tous.

¹¹אשר אין שם יוני ויהודי אין מילה וערלה אין לעז וסקותי אין עבד ובן חורין כי המשיח הוא הכל ובכל׃

¹²Put on therefore, as God's elect, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, longsuffering;

¹²Ainsi donc, comme des élus de Dieu, saints et bien-aimés, revêtez-vous d'entrailles de miséricorde, de bonté, d'humilité, de douceur, de patience.

¹²לכן אתם כבחירי האלהים הקדשים והחביבים לבשו המון רחמים ונדיבות ונמיכות רוח וענוה וארך אפים׃

¹³forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man have a complaint against any; even as the Lord forgave you, so also do ye:

¹³Supportez-vous les uns les autres, et, si l'un a sujet de se plaindre de l'autre, pardonnez-vous réciproquement. De même que Christ vous a pardonné, pardonnez-vous aussi.

¹³ותשאו איש את רעהו ותסלחו בהיות לכם ריב איש עם אחיו כאשר המשיח סלח לכם כן תסלחו גם אתם׃

¹⁴and above all these things [put on] love, which is the bond of perfectness.

¹⁴Mais par-dessus toutes ces choses revêtez-vous de la charité, qui est le lien de la perfection.

¹⁴ועל כל אלה לבשו האהבה היא אגדת השלמות׃

¹⁵And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to the which also ye were called in one body; and be ye thankful.

¹⁵Et que la paix de Christ, à laquelle vous avez été appelés pour former un seul corps, règne dans vos coeurs. Et soyez reconnaissants.

¹⁵וישלט בלבבכם שלום האלהים אשר נקראתם לו בגוף אחד וזבחו תודה׃

¹⁶Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms [and] hymns [and] spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts unto God.

¹⁶Que la parole de Christ habite parmi vous abondamment; instruisez-vous et exhortez-vous les uns les autres en toute sagesse, par des psaumes, par des hymnes, par des cantiques spirituels, chantant à Dieu dans vos coeurs sous l'inspiration de la grâce.

¹⁶דבר האדון ישכן בקרבכם בשפע רב בכל חכמה ותלמדו ותעוררו את נפשכם בתהלות ותשבחות ושירות רוחניות ושירו ליהוה בנעימה בלבבכם׃

¹⁷And whatsoever ye do, in word or in deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

¹⁷Et quoi que vous fassiez, en parole ou en oeuvre, faites tout au nom du Seigneur Jésus, en rendant par lui des actions de grâces à Dieu le Père.

¹⁷וכל אשר תעשו הן במלין הן בפעל עשו בשם האדון ישוע והודו לאלהים אבינו על ידי׃

¹⁸Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

¹⁸Femmes, soyez soumises à vos maris, comme il convient dans le Seigneur.

¹⁸אתן הנשים הכנענה לבעליכן כראוי באדנינו׃

¹⁹Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

¹⁹Maris, aimez vos femmes, et ne vous aigrissez pas contre elles.

¹⁹אתם האנשים אהבו את נשיכם ואל תתמרמרו אליהן׃

²⁰Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing in the Lord.

²⁰Enfants, obéissez en toutes choses à vos parents, car cela est agréable dans le Seigneur.

²⁰הבנים שמעו אל ילדיכם בכל דבר כי הוא לרצון לאדנינו׃

²¹Fathers, provoke not your children, that they be not discouraged.

²¹Pères, n'irritez pas vos enfants, de peur qu'ils ne se découragent.

²¹האבות אל תרגיזו את בניכם פן יחתו׃

²²Servants, obey in all things them that are your masters according to the flesh; not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord:

²²Serviteurs, obéissez en toutes choses à vos maîtres selon la chair, non pas seulement sous leurs yeux, comme pour plaire aux hommes, mais avec simplicité de coeur, dans la crainte du Seigneur.

²²העבדים שמעו בכל דבר אל אדניכם לפי הבשר לא בעבודה למראה העין כמבקשי חן בני אדם כי אם בתם לבב כיראי האלהים׃

²³whatsoever ye do, work heartily, as unto the Lord, and not unto men;

²³Tout ce que vous faites, faites-le de bon coeur, comme pour le Seigneur et non pour des hommes,

²³כל אשר תעשו עשו בכל נפשכם כמו ליהוה ולא לבני אדם׃

²⁴knowing that from the Lord ye shall receive the recompense of the inheritance: ye serve the Lord Christ.

²⁴sachant que vous recevrez du Seigneur l'héritage pour récompense. Servez Christ, le Seigneur.

²⁴וידעתם כי תקבלו מאת יהוה גמול הירשה כי את אדנינו המשיח עבדים אתם׃

²⁵For he that doeth wrong shall receive again for the wrong that he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

²⁵Car celui qui agit injustement recevra selon son injustice, et il n'y a point d'acception de personnes.

²⁵וכל עשה עול הוא ישא העול אשר עשה ואין שם משא פנים׃
