¹Masters, render unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.

¹Maîtres, accordez à vos serviteurs ce qui est juste et équitable, sachant que vous aussi vous avez un maître dans le ciel.

¹אתם האדנים תנו לעבדיכם הישר והשוה ודעו כי גם אתם יש לכם אדון בשמים׃

²Continue stedfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving;

²Persévérez dans la prière, veillez-y avec actions de grâces.

²התמידו בתפלה ושקדו בה בתודה׃

³withal praying for us also, that God may open unto us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds;

³Priez en même temps pour nous, afin que Dieu nous ouvre une porte pour la parole, en sorte que je puisse annoncer le mystère de Christ, pour lequel je suis dans les chaînes,

³והתפללו גם בעדנו למען יפתח לנו האלהים את שער הדבור לחות את סוד המשיח אשר בעבורו אסור אנכי׃

⁴that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

⁴et le faire connaître comme je dois en parler.

⁴למען אשר אגלה אתו כמשפט עלי לחות׃

⁵Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

⁵Conduisez-vous avec sagesse envers ceux du dehors, et rachetez le temps.

⁵התהלכו בחכמה עם אשר בחוץ והוקירו את העת׃

⁶Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.

⁶Que votre parole soit toujours accompagnée de grâce, assaisonnée de sel, afin que vous sachiez comment il faut répondre à chacun.

⁶דבריכם יהיו נעימים בכל עת וממלחים במלח למען תדעו להשיב דבר לכל אדם׃

⁷All my affairs shall Tychicus make known unto you, the beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow-servant in the Lord:

⁷Tychique, le bien-aimé frère et le fidèle ministre, mon compagnon de service dans le Seigneur, vous communiquera tout ce qui me concerne.

⁷את כל הקרת אותי וידיעכם טוכיקוס האח החביב והמשרת הנאמן ועבד עמיתי באדון׃

⁸whom I have sent you for this very purpose, that ye may know our state, and that he may comfort your hearts;

⁸Je l'envoie exprès vers vous, pour que vous connaissiez notre situation, et pour qu'il console vos coeurs.

⁸אשר לזאת שלחתיהו אליכם למען ידע את דבריכם וינחם את לבבכם׃

⁹together with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things that [are done] here.

⁹Je l'envoie avec Onésime, le fidèle et bien-aimé frère, qui est des vôtres. Ils vous informeront de tout ce qui se passe ici.

⁹עם אוניסימוס האח הנאמן והחביב אשר הוא מכם המה יודיעו אתכם את כל דברינו פה׃

¹⁰Aristarchus my fellow-prisoner saluteth you, and Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (touching whom ye received commandments; if he come unto you, receive him),

¹⁰Aristarque, mon compagnon de captivité, vous salue, ainsi que Marc, le cousin de Barnabas, au sujet duquel vous avez reçu des ordres s'il va chez vous, accueillez-le;

¹⁰ארסטרכוס השבוי עמי יחד שאל לשלומכם ומרקוס בן אחות בר נבא אשר צויתם עליו אם יבוא אליכם תקבלהו׃

¹¹and Jesus that is called Justus, who are of the circumcision: these only [are my] fellow-workers unto the kingdom of God, men that have been a comfort unto me.

¹¹Jésus, appelé Justus, vous salue aussi. Ils sont du nombre des circoncis, et les seuls qui aient travaillé avec moi pour le royaume de Dieu, et qui aient été pour moi une consolation.

¹¹וישוע הנקרא יוסטוס אשר הם מן המולים אלה לבדם מן העזרים למלכות האלהים היו לי לנחמה׃

¹²Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, saluteth you, always striving for you in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.

¹²Epaphras, qui est des vôtres, vous salue: serviteur de Jésus-Christ, il ne cesse de combattre pour vous dans ses prières, afin que, parfaits et pleinement persuadés, vous persistiez dans une entière soumission à la volonté de Dieu.

¹²אפפרס אשר הוא מכם שאל לשלומכם משרת המשיח הנאבק בעדכם בתפלתיו בכל עת למען תעמדו שלמים ומלאים דעת בכל רצון אלהים׃

¹³For I bear him witness, that he hath much labor for you, and for them in Laodicea, and for them in Hierapolis.

¹³Car je lui rends le témoignage qu'il a une grande sollicitude pour vous, pour ceux de Laodicée, et pour ceux d'Hiérapolis.

¹³כי מעיד אני עליו כי קנאה גדולה הוא מקנא לכם ולאנשי לודקיא ולאנשי הירפוליס׃

¹⁴Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas salute you.

¹⁴Luc, le médecin bien-aimé, vous salue, ainsi que Démas.

¹⁴לוקס הרופא החביב ודימס שאלים לשלומכם׃

¹⁵Salute the brethren that are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church that is in their house.

¹⁵Saluez les frères qui sont à Laodicée, et Nymphas, et l'Eglise qui est dans sa maison.

¹⁵שאלו לשלום האחים אשר בלודקיא ולשלום נומפס והקהלה אשר בביתו׃

¹⁶And when this epistle hath been read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye also read the epistle from Laodicea.

¹⁶Lorsque cette lettre aura été lue chez vous, faites en sorte qu'elle soit aussi lue dans l'Eglise des Laodicéens, et que vous lisiez à votre tour celle qui vous arrivera de Laodicée.

¹⁶ואחרי קראם את האגרת הזאת לפניכם עשו שתקרא גם בקהל לודקיים ואת אשר ללודקיא תקראוה גם אתם׃

¹⁷And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.

¹⁷Et dites à Archippe: Prends garde au ministère que tu as reçu dans le Seigneur, afin de le bien remplir.

¹⁷ואמרו אל ארכפוס שית לבך לעבודה אשר קבלתה באדון למען תמלאנה׃

¹⁸The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you.

¹⁸Je vous salue, moi Paul, de ma propre main. Souvenez-vous de mes liens. Que la grâce soit avec vous!

¹⁸שאלת השלום מידי אני פולוס זכרו את מוסרי החסד עמכם אמן׃
