1And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
1La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
1ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃
2Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own heart, Hear ye the word of Jehovah:
2Fils de l'homme, prophétise contre les prophètes d'Israël qui prophétisent, Et dis à ceux qui prophétisent selon leur propre coeur: Ecoutez la parole de l'Eternel!
2בן אדם הנבא אל נביאי ישראל הנבאים ואמרת לנביאי מלבם שמעו דבר יהוה׃
3Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
3Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Malheur aux prophètes insensés, Qui suivent leur propre esprit et qui ne voient rien!
3כה אמר אדני יהוה הוי על הנביאים הנבלים אשר הלכים אחר רוחם ולבלתי ראו׃
4O Israel, thy prophets have been like foxes in the waste places.
4Tels des renards au milieu des ruines, Tels sont tes prophètes, ô Israël!
4כשעלים בחרבות נביאיך ישראל היו׃
5Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither built up the wall for the house of Israel, to stand in the battle in the day of Jehovah.
5Vous n'êtes pas montés devant les brèches, Vous n'avez pas entouré d'un mur la maison d'Israël, Pour demeurer fermes dans le combat, Au jour de l'Eternel.
5לא עליתם בפרצות ותגדרו גדר על בית ישראל לעמד במלחמה ביום יהוה׃
6They have seen falsehood and lying divination, that say, Jehovah saith; but Jehovah hath not sent them: and they have made men to hope that the word would be confirmed.
6Leurs visions sont vaines, et leurs oracles menteurs; Ils disent: L'Eternel a dit! Et l'Eternel ne les a point envoyés; Et ils font espérer que leur parole s'accomplira.
6חזו שוא וקסם כזב האמרים נאם יהוה ויהוה לא שלחם ויחלו לקים דבר׃
7Have ye not seen a false vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, in that ye say, Jehovah saith; albeit I have not spoken?
7Les visions que vous avez ne sont-elles pas vaines, Et les oracles que vous prononcez ne sont-ils pas menteurs? Vous dites: L'Eternel a dit! Et je n'ai point parlé.
7הלוא מחזה שוא חזיתם ומקסם כזב אמרתם ואמרים נאם יהוה ואני לא דברתי׃
8Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye have spoken falsehood, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord Jehovah.
8C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Parce que vous dites des choses vaines, Et que vos visions sont des mensonges, Voici, j'en veux à vous, Dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.
8לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה יען דברכם שוא וחזיתם כזב לכן הנני אליכם נאם אדני יהוה׃
9And my hand shall be against the prophets that see false visions, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the council of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.
9Ma main sera contre les prophètes Dont les visions sont vaines et les oracles menteurs; Ils ne feront point partie de l'assemblée de mon peuple, Ils ne seront pas inscrits dans le livre de la maison d'Israël, Et ils n'entreront pas dans le pays d'Israël. Et vous saurez que je suis le Seigneur, l'Eternel.
9והיתה ידי אל הנביאים החזים שוא והקסמים כזב בסוד עמי לא יהיו ובכתב בית ישראל לא יכתבו ואל אדמת ישראל לא יבאו וידעתם כי אני אדני יהוה׃
10Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there is no peace; and when one buildeth up a wall, behold, they daub it with untempered [mortar]:
10Ces choses arriveront parce qu'ils égarent mon peuple, En disant: Paix! quand il n'y a point de paix. Et mon peuple bâtit une muraille, Et eux, ils la couvrent de plâtre.
10יען וביען הטעו את עמי לאמר שלום ואין שלום והוא בנה חיץ והנם טחים אתו תפל׃
11say unto them that daub it with untempered [mortar], that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
11Dis à ceux qui la couvrent de plâtre qu'elle s'écroulera; Une pluie violente surviendra; Et vous, pierres de grêle, vous tomberez, Et la tempête éclatera.
11אמר אל טחי תפל ויפל היה גשם שוטף ואתנה אבני אלגביש תפלנה ורוח סערות תבקע׃
12Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?
12Et voici, la muraille s'écroule! ne vous dira-t-on pas: Où est le plâtre dont vous l'avez couverte?
12והנה נפל הקיר הלוא יאמר אליכם איה הטיח אשר טחתם׃
13Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my wrath; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in wrath to consume it.
13C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Je ferai, dans ma fureur, éclater la tempête; Il surviendra, dans ma colère, une pluie violente; Et des pierres de grêle tomberont avec fureur pour détruire.
13לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה ובקעתי רוח סערות בחמתי וגשם שטף באפי יהיה ואבני אלגביש בחמה לכלה׃
14So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered [mortar], and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be uncovered; and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
14J'abattrai la muraille que vous avez couverte de plâtre, Je lui ferai toucher la terre, et ses fondements seront mis à nu; Elle s'écroulera, et vous périrez au milieu de ses ruines. Et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel.
14והרסתי את הקיר אשר טחתם תפל והגעתיהו אל הארץ ונגלה יסדו ונפלה וכליתם בתוכה וידעתם כי אני יהוה׃
15Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered [mortar]; and I will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;
15J'assouvirai ainsi ma fureur contre la muraille, Et contre ceux qui l'ont couverte de plâtre; Et je vous dirai; Plus de muraille! Et c'en est fait de ceux qui la replâtraient,
15וכליתי את חמתי בקיר ובטחים אתו תפל ואמר לכם אין הקיר ואין הטחים אתו׃
16[to wit], the prophets of Israel that prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and that see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord Jehovah.
16Des prophètes d'Israël qui prophétisent sur Jérusalem, Et qui ont sur elle des visions de paix, Quand il n'y a point de paix! Dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.
16נביאי ישראל הנבאים אל ירושלם והחזים לה חזון שלם ואין שלם נאם אדני יהוה׃
17And thou, son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, that prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,
17Et toi, fils de l'homme, porte tes regards sur les filles de ton peuple Qui prophétisent selon leur propre coeur, Et prophétise contre elles!
17ואתה בן אדם שים פניך אל בנות עמך המתנבאות מלבהן והנבא עליהן׃
18and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the women that sew pillows upon all elbows, and make kerchiefs for the head of [persons of] every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and save souls alive for yourselves?
18Tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Malheur à celles qui fabriquent des coussinets pour toutes les aisselles, Et qui font des voiles pour la tête des gens de toute taille, Afin de surprendre les âmes! Pensez-vous surprendre les âmes de mon peuple, Et conserver vos propres âmes?
18ואמרת כה אמר אדני יהוה הוי למתפרות כסתות על כל אצילי ידי ועשות המספחות על ראש כל קומה לצודד נפשות הנפשות תצודדנה לעמי ונפשות לכנה תחיינה׃
19And ye have profaned me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hearken unto lies.
19Vous me déshonorez auprès de mon peuple Pour des poignées d'orge et des morceaux de pain, En tuant des âmes qui ne doivent pas mourir, Et en faisant vivre des âmes qui ne doivent pas vivre, Trompant ainsi mon peuple, qui écoute le mensonge.
19ותחללנה אתי אל עמי בשעלי שערים ובפתותי לחם להמית נפשות אשר לא תמותנה ולחיות נפשות אשר לא תחיינה בכזבכם לעמי שמעי כזב׃
20Wherefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make [them] fly, and I will tear them from your arms; and I will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make [them] fly.
20C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Voici, j'en veux à vos coussinets Par lesquels vous surprenez les âmes afin qu'elles s'envolent, Et je les arracherai de vos bras; Et je délivrerai les âmes Que vous cherchez à surprendre afin qu'elles s'envolent.
20לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני אל כסתותיכנה אשר אתנה מצדדות שם את הנפשות לפרחות וקרעתי אתם מעל זרועתיכם ושלחתי את הנפשות אשר אתם מצדדות את נפשים לפרחת׃
21Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
21J'arracherai aussi vos voiles, Et je délivrerai de vos mains mon peuple; Ils ne serviront plus de piège entre vos mains. Et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel.
21וקרעתי את מספחתיכם והצלתי את עמי מידכן ולא יהיו עוד בידכן למצודה וידעתן כי אני יהוה׃
22Because with lies ye have grieved the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, and be saved alive:
22Parce que vous affligez le coeur du juste par des mensonges, Quand moi-même je ne l'ai point attristé, Et parce que vous fortifiez les mains du méchant Pour l'empêcher de quitter sa mauvaise voie et pour le faire vivre,
22יען הכאות לב צדיק שקר ואני לא הכאבתיו ולחזק ידי רשע לבלתי שוב מדרכו הרע להחיתו׃
23Therefore ye shall no more see false visions, nor divine divinations: and I will deliver my people out of your hand; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
23Vous n'aurez plus de vaines visions, Et vous ne prononcerez plus d'oracles; Je délivrerai de vos mains mon peuple. Et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel.
23לכן שוא לא תחזינה וקסם לא תקסמנה עוד והצלתי את עמי מידכן וידעתן כי אני יהוה׃
