¹Paul, an apostle (not from men, neither through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead),

¹Paul, apôtre, non de la part des hommes, ni par un homme, mais par Jésus-Christ et Dieu le Père, qui l'a ressuscité des morts,

¹פולוס השליח לא מבני אדם ולא על ידי בן אדם כי אם על ידי ישוע המשיח ואלהים האב אשר העירו מן המתים׃

²and all the brethren that are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:

²et tous les frères qui sont avec moi, aux Eglises de la Galatie:

²וכל האחים אשר עמדי אל הקהלות אשר בגלטיא׃

³Grace to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,

³que la grâce et la paix vous soient données de la part de Dieu le Père et de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ,

³חסד לכם ושלום מאת האלהים אבינו ומאת אדנינו ישוע המשיח׃

⁴who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father:

⁴qui s'est donné lui-même pour nos péchés, afin de nous arracher du présent siècle mauvais, selon la volonté de notre Dieu et Père,

⁴אשר נתן את נפשו בעד חטאתינו לחלצנו מן העולם הרע הזה כרצון אלהינו אבינו׃

⁵to whom [be] the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

⁵qui soit la gloire aux siècles des siècles! Amen!

⁵אשר לו הכבוד לעולמי עולמים אמן׃

⁶I marvel that ye are so quickly removing from him that called you in the grace of Christ unto a different gospel;

⁶Je m'étonne que vous vous détourniez si promptement de celui qui vous a appelés par la grâce de Christ, pour passer à un autre Evangile.

⁶תמה אני כי סרתם מהר מאחרי הקרא אתכם בחסד המשיח אל בשורה זרה׃

⁷which is not another [gospel] only there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

⁷Non pas qu'il y ait un autre Evangile, mais il y a des gens qui vous troublent, et qui veulent renverser l'Evangile de Christ.

⁷והיא איננה אחרת רק שיש אנשים העכרים אתכם וחפצים להפך את בשורת המשיח׃

⁸But though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach unto you any gospel other than that which we preached unto you, let him be anathema.

⁸Mais, quand nous-mêmes, quand un ange du ciel annoncerait un autre Evangile que celui que nous vous avons prêché, qu'il soit anathème!

⁸אבל גם אנחנו או מלאך מן השמים אם יבוא לבשר אתכם בשורה מבלעדי זאת אשר בשרנו אתכם חרם יהיה׃

⁹As we have said before, so say I now again, if any man preacheth unto you any gospel other than that which ye received, let him be anathema.

⁹Nous l'avons dit précédemment, et je le répète à cette heure: si quelqu'un vous annonce un autre Evangile que celui que vous avez reçu, qu'il soit anathème!

⁹כמו שאמרנו כבר כן אמר עתה עוד הפעם איש כי יבשר אתכם בשורה מבלעדי אשר קבלתם חרם יהיה׃

¹⁰For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? or am I striving to please men? if I were still pleasing men, I should not be a servant of Christ.

¹⁰Et maintenant, est-ce la faveur des hommes que je désire, ou celle de Dieu? Est-ce que je cherche à plaire aux hommes? Si je plaisais encore aux hommes, je ne serais pas serviteur de Christ.

¹⁰ועתה המתרצה אנכי אל בני אדם אם אל האלהים או המבקש אנכי למצא חן בעיני בני אדם כי במצאי חן בעיני בני אדם לא אהיה עוד עבד המשיח׃

¹¹For I make known to you, brethren, as touching the gospel which was preached by me, that it is not after man.

¹¹Je vous déclare, frères, que l'Evangile qui a été annoncé par moi n'est pas de l'homme;

¹¹אבל מודיע אני אתכם אחי כי הבשורה אשר בשרתי לא לפי דרך אדם היא׃

¹²For neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but [it came to me] through revelation of Jesus Christ.

¹²car je ne l'ai ni reçu ni appris d'un homme, mais par une révélation de Jésus-Christ.

¹²כי גם אנכי לא קבלתיה מאדם ולא למדוני אתה כי אם בחזיון ישוע המשיח׃

¹³For ye have heard of my manner of life in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and made havoc of it:

¹³Vous avez su, en effet, quelle était autrefois ma conduite dans le judaïsme, comment je persécutais à outrance et ravageais l'Eglise de Dieu,

¹³כי הלא שמעתם את דרכי אשר התהלכתי מלפנים בין היהודים ואת אשר רדפתי על יתר את עדת אלהים ואבדתיה׃

¹⁴and I advanced in the Jews' religion beyond many of mine own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

¹⁴et comment j'étais plus avancé dans le judaïsme que beaucoup de ceux de mon âge et de ma nation, étant animé d'un zèle excessif pour les traditions de mes pères.

¹⁴ואהי הולך וחזק בדת היהודית על רבים מבני גילי בעמי בקנאתי הגדולה לקבלות אבותי׃

¹⁵But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me, [even] from my mother's womb, and called me through his grace,

¹⁵Mais, lorsqu'il plut à celui qui m'avait mis à part dès le sein de ma mère, et qui m'a appelé par sa grâce,

¹⁵אך כאשר היה רצון האלהים אשר הבדיל אתי מרחם אמי ויקראני בחסדו׃

¹⁶to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles; straightway I conferred not with flesh and blood:

¹⁶de révéler en moi son Fils, afin que je l'annonçasse parmi les païens, aussitôt, je ne consultai ni la chair ni le sang,

¹⁶לגלות בי את בנו שאבשרנו בגוים מיד לא נועצתי עם בשר ודם׃

¹⁷neither went I up to Jerusalem to them that were apostles before me: but I went away into Arabia; and again I returned unto Damascus.

¹⁷et je ne montai point à Jérusalem vers ceux qui furent apôtres avant moi, mais je partis pour l'Arabie. Puis je revins encore à Damas.

¹⁷גם לא עליתי ירושלים אל אשר היו שליחים לפני כי אם הלכתי לערב ומשם שבתי אל דמשק׃

¹⁸Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas, and tarried with him fifteen days.

¹⁸Trois ans plus tard, je montai à Jérusalem pour faire la connaissance de Céphas, et je demeurai quinze jours chez lui.

¹⁸אחרי כן מקץ שלש שנים עליתי ירושלים לראות את כיפא ואשב עמו חמשה עשר יום׃

¹⁹But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.

¹⁹Mais je ne vis aucun autre des apôtres, si ce n'est Jacques, le frère du Seigneur.

¹⁹ואחר מן השליחים לא ראיתי זולתי את יעקב אחי אדנינו׃

²⁰Now touching the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.

²⁰Dans ce que je vous écris, voici, devant Dieu, je ne mens point.

²⁰ואשר אני כתב אליכם הנה נגד האלהים כי לא אכזב׃

²¹Then I came unto the regions of Syria and Cilicia.

²¹J'allai ensuite dans les contrées de la Syrie et de la Cilicie.

²¹אחרי כן באתי אל גלילות סוריא וקיליקיא׃

²²And I was still unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:

²²Or, j'étais inconnu de visage aux Eglises de Judée qui sont en Christ;

²²אבל קהלות יהודה אשר במשיח הנה לא ידעו את פני׃

²³but they only heard say, He that once persecuted us now preacheth the faith of which he once made havoc;

²³seulement, elles avaient entendu dire: Celui qui autrefois nous persécutait annonce maintenant la foi qu'il s'efforçait alors de détruire.

²³רק זאת בלבד שמעו כי האיש ההוא אשר היה רדף אתנו מאז עתה הוא מבשר את האמונה אשר האבידה מלפנים׃

²⁴and they glorified God in me.

²⁴Et elles glorifiaient Dieu à mon sujet.

²⁴ויהללו בי את האלהים׃
