1Brethren, even if a man be overtaken in any trespass, ye who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
1Frères, si un homme vient à être surpris en quelque faute, vous qui êtes spirituels, redressez-le avec un esprit de douceur. Prends garde à toi-même, de peur que tu ne sois aussi tenté.
1אחי גם כי יתפש איש מכם בעברה אתם אנשי הרוח תקימהו ברוח ענוה והשמר לנפשך פן תבא לידי נסיון גם אתה׃
2Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
2Portez les fardeaux les uns des autres, et vous accomplirez ainsi la loi de Christ.
2שאו איש את משא רעהו בזאת תמלאו את תורת המשיח׃
3For if a man thinketh himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
3Si quelqu'un pense être quelque chose, quoiqu'il ne soit rien, il s'abuse lui-même.
3כי החשב את עצמו להיות מה ואיננו מאומה את נפשו הוא מרמה׃
4But let each man prove his own work, and then shall he have his glorying in regard of himself alone, and not of his neighbor.
4Que chacun examine ses propres oeuvres, et alors il aura sujet de se glorifier pour lui seul, et non par rapport à autrui;
4אבל יבחן כל איש את מעשהו ואז לו לבדו תהיה תהלתו ולא לנגד אחר׃
5For each man shall bear his own burden.
5car chacun portera son propre fardeau.
5כי כל איש את משאו ישא׃
6But let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
6Que celui à qui l'on enseigne la parole fasse part de tous ses biens à celui qui l'enseigne.
6המלמד בדבר יחלק מכל טובו למלמדהו׃
7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
7Ne vous y trompez pas: on ne se moque pas de Dieu. Ce qu'un homme aura semé, il le moissonnera aussi.
7אל תתעו לא יתן אלהים להתל בו כי מה שזרע האדם אתו יקצר׃
8For he that soweth unto his own flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth unto the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life.
8Celui qui sème pour sa chair moissonnera de la chair la corruption; mais celui qui sème pour l'Esprit moissonnera de l'Esprit la vie éternelle.
8הזרע בבשרו יקצר כליון משברו והזרע ברוח יקצר מן הרוח חיי עולם׃
9And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
9Ne nous lassons pas de faire le bien; car nous moissonnerons au temps convenable, si nous ne nous relâchons pas.
9ואנחנו בעשות הטוב אל נחת כי נקצר בעתו אם לא נרפה׃
10So then, as we have opportunity, let us work that which is good toward all men, and especially toward them that are of the household of the faith.
10Ainsi donc, pendant que nous en avons l'occasion, pratiquons le bien envers tous, et surtout envers les frères en la foi.
10לכן כאשר העת בידנו נעשה נא את הטוב עם כל אדם וביותר עם בני אמונתנו׃
11See with how large letters I write unto you with mine own hand.
11Voyez avec quelles grandes lettres je vous ai écrit de ma propre main.
11ראו נא מה גדול המכתב אשר כתבתי אליכם בידי׃
12As many as desire to make a fair show in the flesh, they compel you to be circumcised; only that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.
12Tous ceux qui veulent se rendre agréables selon la chair vous contraignent à vous faire circoncire, uniquement afin de n'être pas persécutés pour la croix de Christ.
12החפצים להתהדר בבשר מכריחים אתכם להמול רק למען לא ירדפו על צלב המשיח׃
13For not even they who receive circumcision do themselves keep the law; but they desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
13Car les circoncis eux-mêmes n'observent point la loi; mais ils veulent que vous soyez circoncis, pour se glorifier dans votre chair.
13כי גם הם הנמולים אינם שמרים את התורה אלא רצונם שתמולו למען יתהללו בבשרכם׃
14But far be it from me to glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world hath been crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
14Pour ce qui me concerne, loin de moi la pensée de me glorifier d'autre chose que de la croix de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, par qui le monde est crucifié pour moi, comme je le suis pour le monde!
14ואנכי חלילה מהתהלל זולתי בצלב אדנינו ישוע המשיח אשר בו העולם נצלב לי ואני נצלב לעולם׃
15For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
15Car ce n'est rien que d'être circoncis ou incirconcis; ce qui est quelque chose, c'est d'être une nouvelle créature.
15כי במשיח ישוע גם המילה גם הערלה אינן נחשבות כי אם בריאה חדשה׃
16And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace [be] upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
16Paix et miséricorde sur tous ceux qui suivront cette règle, et sur l'Israël de Dieu!
16וכל המהלכים כפי השורה הזאת שלום ורחמים עליהם ועל ישראל אשר לאלהים׃
17Henceforth, let no man trouble me; for I bear branded on my body the marks of Jesus.
17Que personne désormais ne me fasse de la peine, car je porte sur mon corps les marques de Jésus.
17מעתה איש אל ילאני עוד כי את חבורות האדון ישוע אני נשא בגויתי׃
18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen.
18Frères, que la grâce de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ soit avec votre esprit! Amen!
18חסד ישוע המשיח אדנינו יהי עם רוחכם אחי אמן׃
