1Let love of the brethren continue.
1Persévérez dans l'amour fraternel.
1אהבת האחים תעמד׃
2Forget not to show love unto strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
2N'oubliez pas l'hospitalité; car, en l'exerçant, quelques-uns ont logé des anges, sans le savoir.
2הכנסת ארחים אל תשכחו כי יש אשר הכניסו בה מלאכים ולא ידעו׃
3Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; them that are illtreated, as being yourselves also in the body.
3Souvenez-vous des prisonniers, comme si vous étiez aussi prisonniers; de ceux qui sont maltraités, comme étant aussi vous-mêmes dans un corps.
3זכרו את האסורים כאלו אתם אסורים עמהם ואת הנלחצים באשר גם אתם בבשר׃
4[Let] marriage [be] had in honor among all, and [let] the bed [be] undefiled: for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
4Que le mariage soit honoré de tous, et le lit conjugal exempt de souillure, car Dieu jugera les impudiques et les adultères.
4האישות תיקר בכל וערש יצועכם אל יחלל את הזנים ואת המנאפים ידין אלהים׃
5Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.
5Ne vous livrez pas à l'amour de l'argent; contentez- vous de ce que vous avez; car Dieu lui-même a dit: Je ne te délaisserai point, et je ne t'abandonnerai point.
5רחקו מאהבת כסף ושמחו בחלקכם כי הוא אמר לא ארפך ולא אעזבך׃
6So that with good courage we say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear: What shall man do unto me?
6C'est donc avec assurance que nous pouvons dire: Le Seigneur est mon aide, je ne craindrai rien; Que peut me faire un homme?
6על כן נבטח ונאמר יהוה לי בעזרי לא אירא מה יעשה לי אדם׃
7Remember them that had the rule over you, men that spake unto you the word of God; and considering the issue of their life, imitate their faith.
7Souvenez-vous de vos conducteurs qui vous ont annoncé la parole de Dieu; considérez quelle a été la fin de leur vie, et imitez leur foi.
7זכרו את מנהיגיכם אשר הגידו לכם את דבר האלהים בינו לאחרית דרכם ולכו באמונתם׃
8Jesus Christ [is] the same yesterday and to-day, [yea] and for ever.
8Jésus-Christ est le même hier, aujourd'hui, et éternellement.
8ישוע המשיח גם תמול גם היום הוא הוא וגם לעולמים׃
9Be not carried away by divers and strange teachings: for it is good that the heart be established by grace; not by meats, wherein they that occupied themselves were not profited.
9Ne vous laissez pas entraîner par des doctrines diverses et étrangères; car il est bon que le coeur soit affermi par la grâce, et non par des aliments qui n'ont servi de rien à ceux qui s'y sont attachés.
9אל תנועו בתורות שנות וזרות כי טוב לכונן לבנו בחסד ולא בעניני מאכל אשר לא הועילו למתהלכים בהם׃
10We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat that serve the tabernacle.
10Nous avons un autel dont ceux qui font le service au tabernacle n'ont pas le pouvoir de manger.
10יש לנו מזבח אשר אינם רשאים לאכל מעליו משרתי המשכן׃
11For the bodies of those beasts whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest [as an offering] for sin, are burned without the camp.
11Les corps des animaux, dont le sang est porté dans le sanctuaire par le souverain sacrificateur pour le péché, sont brûlés hors du camp.
11כי הבהמות אשר הובא דמן בקדש לכפרת החטא על ידי הכהן הגדול גויתיהן נשרפו מחוץ למחנה׃
12Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered without the gate.
12C'est pour cela que Jésus aussi, afin de sanctifier le peuple par son propre sang, a souffert hors de la porte.
12בעבור זאת גם ישוע למען קדש בדמו את העם ענה מחוץ לשער׃
13Let us therefore go forth unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
13Sortons donc pour aller à lui, hors du camp, en portant son opprobre.
13לכן נצאה נא אליו אל מחוץ למחנה ונשא את חרפתו׃
14For we have not here an abiding city, but we seek after [the city] which is to come.
14Car nous n'avons point ici-bas de cité permanente, mais nous cherchons celle qui est à venir.
14כי פה אין לנו עיר עמדת כי את העתידה אנחנו מבקשים׃
15Through him then let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which make confession to his name.
15Par lui, offrons sans cesse à Dieu un sacrifice de louange, c'est-à-dire le fruit de lèvres qui confessent son nom.
15לכן נקריב על ידו בכל עת זבח תודה לאלהים היא פרי שפתים המודות לשמו׃
16But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
16Et n'oubliez pas la bienfaisance et la libéralité, car c'est à de tels sacrifices que Dieu prend plaisir.
16ואל תשכחו לגמל חסד ולתת לאביונים כי זבחים כאלה יערבו לאלהים׃
17Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit [to them]: for they watch in behalf of your souls, as they that shall give account; that they may do this with joy, and not with grief: for this [were] unprofitable for you.
17Obéissez à vos conducteurs et ayez pour eux de la déférence, car ils veillent sur vos âmes comme devant en rendre compte; qu'il en soit ainsi, afin qu'ils le fassent avec joie, et non en gémissant, ce qui ne vous serait d'aucun avantage.
17שמעו אל מנהיגיכם והכנעו מפניהם כי שקדים הם על נפשתיכם כעתידים לתת חשבון למען יעשו זאת בשמחה ולא באנחה כי זאת לא להועיל לכם׃
18Pray for us: for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to live honorably in all things.
18Priez pour nous; car nous croyons avoir une bonne conscience, voulant en toutes choses nous bien conduire.
18התפללו בעדנו כי ידענו אשר שלמה מחשבתנו ונחפץ ללכת דרך ישרה בכל׃
19And I exhort [you] the more exceedingly to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
19C'est avec instance que je vous demande de le faire, afin que je vous sois rendu plus tôt.
19ובחזקה אבקש מכם לעשות זאת למען אושב אליכם במהרה׃
20Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, [even] our Lord Jesus,
20Que le Dieu de paix, qui a ramené d'entre les morts le grand pasteur des brebis, par le sang d'une alliance éternelle, notre Seigneur Jésus,
20ואלהי השלום אשר בדם ברית עולם העלה מן המתים את רעה הצאן הגדול את ישוע אדנינו׃
21make you perfect in every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
21vous rende capables de toute bonne oeuvre pour l'accomplissement de sa volonté, et fasse en vous ce qui lui est agréable, par Jésus-Christ, auquel soit la gloire aux siècles des siècles! Amen!
21הוא ישלימכם בכל מעשה טוב לעשות רצונו בפעלו בכם את הרצוי לפניו ביד ישוע המשיח אשר לו הכבוד לעולמי עולמים אמן׃
22But I exhort you, brethren, bear with the word of exhortation, for I have written unto you in few words.
22Je vous prie, frères, de supporter ces paroles d'exhortation, car je vous ai écrit brièvement.
22ואבקש מכם אחי שאו נא דבר התוכחה כי כתבתי אליכם בקצרה׃
23Know ye that our brother Timothy hath been set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.
23Sachez que notre frère Timothée a été relâché; s'il vient bientôt, j'irai vous voir avec lui.
23ודעו כי טימותיוס אחינו יצא מבית האסורים והיה אם יבא במהרה אראה אתו את פניכם׃
24Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.
24Saluez tous vos conducteurs, et tous les saints. Ceux d'Italie vous saluent.
24שאלו לשלום כל מנהיגיכם ולשלום כל הקדשים בני ארץ איטליא שאלים לשלומכם׃
25Grace be with you all. Amen.
25Que la grâce soit avec vous tous! Amen!
