1The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, [and] with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the tablet of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;
1Le péché de Juda est écrit avec un burin de fer, Avec une pointe de diamant; Il est gravé sur la table de leur coeur, Et sur les cornes de vos autels.
1חטאת יהודה כתובה בעט ברזל בצפרן שמיר חרושה על לוח לבם ולקרנות מזבחותיכם׃
2whilst their children remember their altars and their Asherim by the green trees upon the high hills.
2Comme ils pensent à leurs enfants, ainsi pensent-ils à leurs autels Et à leurs idoles d'Astarté près des arbres verts, Sur les collines élevées.
2כזכר בניהם מזבחותם ואשריהם על עץ רענן על גבעות הגבהות׃
3O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures for a spoil, [and] thy high places, because of sin, throughout all thy borders.
3Je livre au pillage ma montagne et ses champs, tes biens, tous tes trésors, Et tes hauts lieux, à cause de tes péchés, sur tout ton territoire.
3הררי בשדה חילך כל אוצרותיך לבז אתן במתיך בחטאת בכל גבוליך׃
4And thou, even of thyself, shalt discontinue from thy heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger which shall burn for ever.
4Tu perdras par ta faute l'héritage que je t'avais donné; Je t'asservirai à ton ennemi dans un pays que tu ne connais pas; Car vous avez allumé le feu de ma colère, Et il brûlera toujours.
4ושמטתה ובך מנחלתך אשר נתתי לך והעבדתיך את איביך בארץ אשר לא ידעת כי אש קדחתם באפי עד עולם תוקד׃
5Thus saith Jehovah: Cursed is the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from Jehovah.
5Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Maudit soit l'homme qui se confie dans l'homme, Qui prend la chair pour son appui, Et qui détourne son coeur de l'Eternel!
5כה אמר יהוה ארור הגבר אשר יבטח באדם ושם בשר זרעו ומן יהוה יסור לבו׃
6For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, a salt land and not inhabited.
6Il est comme un misérable dans le désert, Et il ne voit point arriver le bonheur; Il habite les lieux brûlés du désert, Une terre salée et sans habitants.
6והיה כערער בערבה ולא יראה כי יבוא טוב ושכן חררים במדבר ארץ מלחה ולא תשב׃
7Blessed is the man that trusteth in Jehovah, and whose trust Jehovah is.
7Béni soit l'homme qui se confie dans l'Eternel, Et dont l'Eternel est l'espérance!
7ברוך הגבר אשר יבטח ביהוה והיה יהוה מבטחו׃
8For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, that spreadeth out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat cometh, but its leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
8Il est comme un arbre planté près des eaux, Et qui étend ses racines vers le courant; Il n'aperçoit point la chaleur quand elle vient, Et son feuillage reste vert; Dans l'année de la sécheresse, il n'a point de crainte, Et il ne cesse de porter du fruit.
8והיה כעץ שתול על מים ועל יובל ישלח שרשיו ולא ירא כי יבא חם והיה עלהו רענן ובשנת בצרת לא ידאג ולא ימיש מעשות פרי׃
9The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?
9Le coeur est tortueux par-dessus tout, et il est méchant: Qui peut le connaître?
9עקב הלב מכל ואנש הוא מי ידענו׃
10I, Jehovah, search the mind, I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.
10Moi, l'Eternel, j'éprouve le coeur, je sonde les reins, Pour rendre à chacun selon ses voies, Selon le fruit de ses oeuvres.
10אני יהוה חקר לב בחן כליות ולתת לאיש כדרכו כפרי מעלליו׃
11As the partridge that sitteth on [eggs] which she hath not laid, so is he that getteth riches, and not by right; in the midst of his days they shall leave him, and at his end he shall be a fool.
11Comme une perdrix qui couve des oeufs qu'elle n'a point pondus, Tel est celui qui acquiert des richesses injustement; Au milieu de ses jours il doit les quitter, Et à la fin il n'est qu'un insensé.
11קרא דגר ולא ילד עשה עשר ולא במשפט בחצי ימו יעזבנו ובאחריתו יהיה נבל׃
12A glorious throne, [set] on high from the beginning, is the place of our sanctuary.
12Il est un trône de gloire, élevé dès le commencement, C'est le lieu de notre sanctuaire.
12כסא כבוד מרום מראשון מקום מקדשנו׃
13O Jehovah, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be put to shame. They that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken Jehovah, the fountain of living waters.
13Toi qui es l'espérance d'Israël, ô Eternel! Tous ceux qui t'abandonnent seront confondus. -Ceux qui se détournent de moi seront inscrits sur la terre, Car ils abandonnent la source d'eau vive, l'Eternel.
13מקוה ישראל יהוה כל עזביך יבשו יסורי בארץ יכתבו כי עזבו מקור מים חיים את יהוה׃
14Heal me, O Jehovah, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
14Guéris-moi, Eternel, et je serai guéri; Sauve-moi, et je serai sauvé; Car tu es ma gloire.
14רפאני יהוה וארפא הושיעני ואושעה כי תהלתי אתה׃
15Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of Jehovah? let it come now.
15Voici, ils me disent: Où est la parole de l'Eternel? Qu'elle s'accomplisse donc!
15הנה המה אמרים אלי איה דבר יהוה יבוא נא׃
16As for me, I have not hastened from being a shepherd after thee; neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was before thy face.
16Et moi, pour t'obéir, je n'ai pas refusé d'être pasteur; Je n'ai pas non plus désiré le jour du malheur, tu le sais; Ce qui est sorti de mes lèvres a été découvert devant toi.
16ואני לא אצתי מרעה אחריך ויום אנוש לא התאויתי אתה ידעת מוצא שפתי נכח פניך היה׃
17Be not a terror unto me: thou art my refuge in the day of evil.
17Ne sois pas pour moi un sujet d'effroi, Toi, mon refuge au jour du malheur!
17אל תהיה לי למחתה מחסי אתה ביום רעה׃
18Let them be put to shame that persecute me, but let not me be put to shame; let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed; bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.
18Que mes persécuteurs soient confus, et que je ne sois pas confus; Qu'ils tremblent, et que je ne tremble pas, moi! Fais venir sur eux le jour du malheur, Frappe-les d'une double plaie!
18יבשו רדפי ואל אבשה אני יחתו המה ואל אחתה אני הביא עליהם יום רעה ומשנה שברון שברם׃
19Thus said Jehovah unto me: Go, and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;
19Ainsi m'a parlé l'Eternel: Va, et tiens-toi à la porte des enfants du peuple, par laquelle entrent et sortent les rois de Juda, et à toutes les portes de Jérusalem.
19כה אמר יהוה אלי הלך ועמדת בשער בני עם אשר יבאו בו מלכי יהודה ואשר יצאו בו ובכל שערי ירושלם׃
20and say unto them, Hear ye the word of Jehovah, ye kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:
20Tu leur diras: Ecoutez la parole de l'Eternel, rois de Juda, et tout Juda, et vous tous, habitants de Jérusalem, qui entrez par ces portes!
20ואמרת אליהם שמעו דבר יהוה מלכי יהודה וכל יהודה וכל ישבי ירושלם הבאים בשערים האלה׃
21Thus saith Jehovah, Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;
21Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Prenez garde à vos âmes; Ne portez point de fardeau le jour du sabbat, Et n'en introduisez point par les portes de Jérusalem.
21כה אמר יהוה השמרו בנפשותיכם ואל תשאו משא ביום השבת והבאתם בשערי ירושלם׃
22neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work: but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.
22Ne sortez de vos maisons aucun fardeau le jour du sabbat, Et ne faites aucun ouvrage; Mais sanctifiez le jour du sabbat, Comme je l'ai ordonné à vos pères.
22ולא תוציאו משא מבתיכם ביום השבת וכל מלאכה לא תעשו וקדשתם את יום השבת כאשר צויתי את אבותיכם׃
23But they hearkened not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, and might not receive instruction.
23Ils n'ont pas écouté, ils n'ont pas prêté l'oreille; Ils ont raidi leur cou, Pour ne point écouter et ne point recevoir instruction.
23ולא שמעו ולא הטו את אזנם ויקשו את ערפם לבלתי שומע ולבלתי קחת מוסר׃
24And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith Jehovah, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but to hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;
24Si vous m'écoutez, dit l'Eternel, Si vous n'introduisez point de fardeau Par les portes de cette ville le jour du sabbat, Si vous sanctifiez le jour du sabbat, Et ne faites aucun ouvrage ce jour-là,
24והיה אם שמע תשמעון אלי נאם יהוה לבלתי הביא משא בשערי העיר הזאת ביום השבת ולקדש את יום השבת לבלתי עשות בה כל מלאכה׃
25then shall there enter in by the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and this city shall remain for ever.
25Alors entreront par les portes de cette ville Les rois et les princes assis sur le trône de David, Montés sur des chars et sur des chevaux, Eux et leurs princes, les hommes de Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem, Et cette ville sera habitée à toujours.
25ובאו בשערי העיר הזאת מלכים ושרים ישבים על כסא דוד רכבים ברכב ובסוסים המה ושריהם איש יהודה וישבי ירושלם וישבה העיר הזאת לעולם׃
26And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the places round about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the lowland, and from the hill-country, and from the South, bringing burnt-offerings, and sacrifices, and meal-offerings, and frankincense, and bringing [sacrifices of] thanksgiving, unto the house of Jehovah.
26On viendra des villes de Juda et des environs de Jérusalem, Du pays de Benjamin, de la vallée, De la montagne et du midi, Pour amener des holocaustes et des victimes, Pour apporter des offrandes et de l'encens, Et pour offrir des sacrifices d'actions de grâces dans la maison de l'Eternel.
26ובאו מערי יהודה ומסביבות ירושלם ומארץ בנימן ומן השפלה ומן ההר ומן הנגב מבאים עולה וזבח ומנחה ולבונה ומבאי תודה בית יהוה׃
27But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden and enter in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.
27Mais si vous n'écoutez pas quand je vous ordonne De sanctifier le jour du sabbat, De ne porter aucun fardeau, De ne point en introduire par les portes de Jérusalem le jour du sabbat, Alors j'allumerai un feu aux portes de la ville, Et il dévorera les palais de Jérusalem et ne s'éteindra point.
27ואם לא תשמעו אלי לקדש את יום השבת ולבלתי שאת משא ובא בשערי ירושלם ביום השבת והצתי אש בשעריה ואכלה ארמנות ירושלם ולא תכבה׃
