1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
1En vérité, en vérité, je vous le dis, celui qui n'entre pas par la porte dans la bergerie, mais qui y monte par ailleurs, est un voleur et un brigand.
1אמן אמן אני אמר לכם איש אשר לא יבוא דרך השער אל מכלא הצאן כי אם יעלה בדרך אחר גנב ופריץ הוא׃
2But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
2Mais celui qui entre par la porte est le berger des brebis.
2ואשר יבוא דרך השער הוא רעה הצאן׃
3To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
3Le portier lui ouvre, et les brebis entendent sa voix; il appelle par leur nom les brebis qui lui appartiennent, et il les conduit dehors.
3לו יפתח שמר הסף והצאן את קלו תשמענה והוא לצאנו בשם יקרא ויוציאם׃
4When he hath put forth all his own, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
4Lorsqu'il a fait sortir toutes ses propres brebis, il marche devant elles; et les brebis le suivent, parce qu'elles connaissent sa voix.
4ואחרי הוציאו את צאנו הוא יעבר לפניהן והצאן הלכות אחריו כי ידעו את קולו׃
5And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
5Elles ne suivront point un étranger; mais elles fuiront loin de lui, parce qu'elles ne connaissent pas la voix des étrangers.
5ואחרי זר לא תלכנה כי אם ינוסו מפניו כי את קול הזרים לא ידעו׃
6This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.
6Jésus leur dit cette parabole, mais ils ne comprirent pas de quoi il leur parlait.
6המשל הזה דבר ישוע באזניהם והמה לא ידעו מה זאת אשר אמר אליהם׃
7Jesus therefore said unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
7Jésus leur dit encore: En vérité, en vérité, je vous le dis, je suis la porte des brebis.
7ויוסף ישוע וידבר אליהם אמן אמן אני אמר לכם אני הוא דלת הצאן׃
8All that came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
8Tous ceux qui sont venus avant moi sont des voleurs et des brigands; mais les brebis ne les ont point écoutés.
8כל אשר באו לפני גנבים המה ופריצים והצאן לא שמעו לקולם׃
9I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and shall find pasture.
9Je suis la porte. Si quelqu'un entre par moi, il sera sauvé; il entrera et il sortira, et il trouvera des pâturages.
9אנכי הדלת איש כי יבוא בי יושע ובצאתו ובבואו ימצא מרעה׃
10The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have [it] abundantly.
10Le voleur ne vient que pour dérober, égorger et détruire; moi, je suis venu afin que les brebis aient la vie, et qu'elles soient dans l'abondance.
10הגנב לא יבוא כי אם לגנוב ולהרוג ולאבד ואני באתי לבעבור הביא להם חיים ומלא ספקם׃
11I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd layeth down his life for the sheep.
11Je suis le bon berger. Le bon berger donne sa vie pour ses brebis.
11אנכי הוא הרעה הטוב הרעה הטוב יתן את נפשו בעד צאנו׃
12He that is a hireling, and not a shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, beholdeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth, and the wolf snatcheth them, and scattereth [them]:
12Mais le mercenaire, qui n'est pas le berger, et à qui n'appartiennent pas les brebis, voit venir le loup, abandonne les brebis, et prend la fuite; et le loup les ravit et les disperse.
12והשכיר אשר לא רעה הוא והצאן לא לו הנה בראותו כי בא הזאב יעזב את הצאן ונס והזאב יחטף ויפיץ את הצאן׃
13[he fleeth] because he is a hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
13Le mercenaire s'enfuit, parce qu'il est mercenaire, et qu'il ne se met point en peine des brebis.
13השכיר ינוס כי שכיר הוא ולא ידאג לצאן׃
14I am the good shepherd; and I know mine own, and mine own know me,
14Je suis le bon berger. Je connais mes brebis, et elles me connaissent,
14אני הרעה הטוב וידעתי את אשר לי ונודעתי לאשר לי׃
15even as the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.
15comme le Père me connaît et comme je connais le Père; et je donne ma vie pour mes brebis.
15כאשר האב ידעני ואני ידעתי את האב ואת נפשי אתן בעד הצאן׃
16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice: and they shall become one flock, one shepherd.
16J'ai encore d'autres brebis, qui ne sont pas de cette bergerie; celles-là, il faut que je les amène; elles entendront ma voix, et il y aura un seul troupeau, un seul berger.
16וצאן אחרות יש לי אשר אינן מן המכלה הזאת ועלי לנהל גם אתן ותשמענה קולי והיה עדר אחד ורעה אחד׃
17Therefore doth the Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.
17Le Père m'aime, parce que je donne ma vie, afin de la reprendre.
17על כן אהב אתי אבי כי את נפשי אתן למען אשוב ואקחה׃
18No one taketh it away from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment received I from my Father.
18Personne ne me l'ôte, mais je la donne de moi-même; j'ai le pouvoir de la donner, et j'ai le pouvoir de la reprendre: tel est l'ordre que j'ai reçu de mon Père.
18ואיש לא יקחנה מאתי כי אם אני מעצמי אתננה יש בידי לתת אתה ובידי לשוב לקחתה את המצוה הזאת לקחתי מעם אבי׃
19There arose a division again among the Jews because of these words.
19Il y eut de nouveau, à cause de ces paroles, division parmi les Juifs.
19ותהי מחלקת גם בפעם הזאת בין היהודים על הדברים האלה׃
20And many of them said, He hath a demon, and is mad; why hear ye him?
20Plusieurs d'entre eux disaient: Il a un démon, il est fou; pourquoi l'écoutez-vous?
20ויאמרו רבים מהם שד בו ומשגע הוא למה תשמעו אליו׃
21Others said, These are not the sayings of one possessed with a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?
21D'autres disaient: Ce ne sont pas les paroles d'un démoniaque; un démon peut-il ouvrir les yeux des aveugles?
21ואחרים אמרו לא כאלה ידבר איש אחוז שד היוכל שד לפקח עיני עורים׃
22And it was the feast of the dedication at Jerusalem:
22On célébrait à Jérusalem la fête de la Dédicace. C'était l'hiver.
22ויהי חג חנכת הבית בירושלים וסתיו היה׃
23it was winter; and Jesus was walking in the temple in Solomon's porch.
23Et Jésus se promenait dans le temple, sous le portique de Salomon.
23ויתהלך ישוע במקדש באולם של שלמה׃
24The Jews therefore came round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou hold us in suspense? If thou art the Christ, tell us plainly.
24Les Juifs l'entourèrent, et lui dirent: Jusques à quand tiendras-tu notre esprit en suspens? Si tu es le Christ, dis-le nous franchement.
24ויסבו אתו היהודים ויאמרו אליו עד אנה תתלה את נפשנו את המשיח אתה הגידה לנו ברור׃
25Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believe not: the works that I do in my Father's name, these bear witness of me.
25Jésus leur répondit: Je vous l'ai dit, et vous ne croyez pas. Les oeuvres que je fais au nom de mon Père rendent témoignage de moi.
25ויען אתם ישוע הן אמרתי אליכם ולא האמנתם בי המעשים אשר אני עשה בשם אבי הם יעידו עלי׃
26But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep.
26Mais vous ne croyez pas, parce que vous n'êtes pas de mes brebis.
26אבל אתם לא תאמינו יען לא מצאני אתם כאשר אמרתי לכם׃
27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
27Mes brebis entendent ma voix; je les connais, et elles me suivent.
27צאני תשמענה את קולי ואני ידעתין ואחרי תלכנה׃
28and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand.
28Je leur donne la vie éternelle; et elles ne périront jamais, et personne ne les ravira de ma main.
28ואני אתן להן חיי עולמים ולא תאבדנה לנצח ואיש לא יחטף אתהן מידי׃
29My Father, who hath given [them] unto me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch [them] out of the Father's hand.
29Mon Père, qui me les a données, est plus grand que tous; et personne ne peut les ravir de la main de mon Père.
29האב אשר נתנן לי גדול הוא על כל ואיש לא יחטף אתהן מיד האב׃
30I and the Father are one.
30Moi et le Père nous sommes un.
30אני ואבי אחד אנחנו׃
31The Jews took up stones again to stone him.
31Alors les Juifs prirent de nouveau des pierres pour le lapider.
31אז ירימו היהודים כפעם בפעם אבנים לסקלו׃
32Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from the Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
32Jésus leur dit: Je vous ai fait voir plusieurs bonnes oeuvres venant de mon Père: pour laquelle me lapidez-vous?
32ויען אתם ישוע מעשים טובים רבים הראיתי אתכם מאת אבי על אי זה מן המעשים ההם תסקלני׃
33The Jews answered him, For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
33Les Juifs lui répondirent: Ce n'est point pour une bonne oeuvre que nous te lapidons, mais pour un blasphème, et parce que toi, qui es un homme, tu te fais Dieu.
33ויענו היהודים אתו לאמר על מעשה טוב לא נסקל אתך כי אם על גדפך את אלהים ועל כי אדם אתה ותעש את עצמך לאלהים׃
34Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, ye are gods?
34Jésus leur répondit: N'est-il pas écrit dans votre loi: J'ai dit: Vous êtes des dieux?
34ויען אתם ישוע הלא כתוב בתורתכם אני אמרתי אלהים אתם׃
35If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken),
35Si elle a appelé dieux ceux à qui la parole de Dieu a été adressée, et si l'Ecriture ne peut être anéantie,
35הן קרא שם אלהים לאלה אשר היה דבר האלהים אליהם והכתוב לא יופר׃
36say ye of him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am [the] Son of God?
36celui que le Père a sanctifié et envoyé dans le monde, vous lui dites: Tu blasphèmes! Et cela parce que j'ai dit: Je suis le Fils de Dieu.
36ואיך תאמרו על אשר קדשו האב ושלחו לעולם מגדף אתה יען אמרתי בן אלהים אני׃
37If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
37Si je ne fais pas les oeuvres de mon Père, ne me croyez pas.
37אם לא אעשה את מעשי אבי אל תאמינו לי׃
38But if I do them, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.
38Mais si je les fais, quand même vous ne me croyez point, croyez à ces oeuvres, afin que vous sachiez et reconnaissiez que le Père est en moi et que je suis dans le Père.
38ואם עשיתי ולא תאמינו לי האמינו נא למעשי למען תדעו ותאמינו כי בי האב ואני בו׃
39They sought again to take him: and he went forth out of their hand.
39Là-dessus, ils cherchèrent encore à le saisir, mais il s'échappa de leurs mains.
39אז ישובו ויבקשו לתפשו וימלט מידם׃
40And he went away again beyond the Jordan into the place where John was at the first baptizing; and there be abode.
40Jésus s'en alla de nouveau au delà du Jourdain, dans le lieu où Jean avait d'abord baptisé. Et il y demeura.
40וילך וישב אל עבר הירדן אל המקום אשר הטביל שם יוחנן בתחלה וישב שם׃
41And many came unto him; and they said, John indeed did no sign: but all things whatsoever John spake of this man were true.
41Beaucoup de gens vinrent à lui, et ils disaient: Jean n'a fait aucun miracle; mais tout ce que Jean a dit de cet homme était vrai.
41ויבאו אליו רבים ויאמרו הנה יוחנן לא עשה אות אבל כל אשר דבר יוחנן על האיש הזה אמת היה׃
42And many believed on him there.
42Et, dans ce lieu-là, plusieurs crurent en lui.
42ויאמינו בו רבים במקום ההוא׃
