¹These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the son may glorify thee:

¹Après avoir ainsi parlé, Jésus leva les yeux au ciel, et dit: Père, l'heure est venue! Glorifie ton Fils, afin que ton Fils te glorifie,

¹את אלה דבר ישוע וישא עיניו השמימה ויאמר אבי הנה באה השעה פאר את בנך למען גם בנך יפארך׃

²even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that to all whom thou hast given him, he should give eternal life.

²selon que tu lui as donné pouvoir sur toute chair, afin qu'il accorde la vie éternelle à tous ceux que tu lui as donnés.

²כאשר נתת לו השלטן על כל בשר למען יתן חיי עולמים לכל אשר נתת לו׃

³And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, [even] Jesus Christ.

³Or, la vie éternelle, c'est qu'ils te connaissent, toi, le seul vrai Dieu, et celui que tu as envoyé, Jésus-Christ.

³ואלה הם חיי העולמים לדעת אתך אשר אתה לבדך אל אמת ואת ישוע המשיח אשר שלחת׃

⁴I glorified thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which thou hast given me to do.

⁴Je t'ai glorifié sur la terre, j'ai achevé l'oeuvre que tu m'as donnée à faire.

⁴אני פארתיך בארץ כליתי פעלך אשר צויתני לעשות׃

⁵And now, Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

⁵Et maintenant toi, Père, glorifie-moi auprès de toi-même de la gloire que j'avais auprès de toi avant que le monde fût.

⁵ועתה פארני אתה אבי עמך בכבוד אשר היה לי עמך טרם היות העולם׃

⁶I manifested thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.

⁶J'ai fait connaître ton nom aux hommes que tu m'as donnés du milieu du monde. Ils étaient à toi, et tu me les as donnés; et ils ont gardé ta parole.

⁶את שמך הודעתי לבני האדם אשר נתתם לי מתוך העולם לך היו ולי נתת אתם ואת דברך נצרו׃

⁷Now they know that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are from thee:

⁷Maintenant ils ont connu que tout ce que tu m'as donné vient de toi.

⁷ועתה ידעו כי כל אשר נתת לי מעמך הוא׃

⁸for the words which thou gavest me I have given unto them; and they received [them], and knew of a truth that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst send me.

⁸Car je leur ai donné les paroles que tu m'as données; et ils les ont reçues, et ils ont vraiment connu que je suis sorti de toi, et ils ont cru que tu m'as envoyé.

⁸כי הדברים אשר נתת לי נתתי להם והם קבלום ויכירו באמת כי מעמך יצאתי ויאמינו כי אתה שלחתני׃

⁹I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine:

⁹C'est pour eux que je prie. Je ne prie pas pour le monde, mais pour ceux que tu m'as donnés, parce qu'ils sont à toi; -

⁹אני בעדם אעתיר לך לא בעד העולם אעתיר כי אם בעד אלה אשר נתת לי כי לך המה׃

¹⁰and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine: and I am glorified in them.

¹⁰et tout ce qui est à moi est à toi, et ce qui est à toi est à moi; -et je suis glorifié en eux.

¹⁰וכל אשר לי לך הוא ושלך שלי ונתפארתי בהם׃

¹¹And I am no more in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we [are].

¹¹Je ne suis plus dans le monde, et ils sont dans le monde, et je vais à toi. Père saint, garde en ton nom ceux que tu m'as donnés, afin qu'ils soient un comme nous.

¹¹ואני אינני עוד בעולם והם בעולם המה ואני בא אליך אבי הקדוש נצר בשמך את אשר נתתם לי למען יהיו אחד כמנו׃

¹²While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

¹²Lorsque j'étais avec eux dans le monde, je les gardais en ton nom. J'ai gardé ceux que tu m'as donnés, et aucun d'eux ne s'est perdu, sinon le fils de perdition, afin que l'Ecriture fût accomplie.

¹²בהיותי עמהם בעולם אני נצרתי אתם בשמך את אשר נתתם לי שמרתי ולא אבד מהם איש זולתי בן האבדון למלאת דבר הכתוב׃

¹³But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.

¹³Et maintenant je vais à toi, et je dis ces choses dans le monde, afin qu'ils aient en eux ma joie parfaite.

¹³ועתה הנני בא אליך ואלה אני מדבר בעולם למען תמלא להם שמחתי בקרבם׃

¹⁴I have given them thy word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

¹⁴Je leur ai donné ta parole; et le monde les a haïs, parce qu'ils ne sont pas du monde, comme moi je ne suis pas du monde.

¹⁴אני נתתי להם את דברך והעולם שנא אתם יען כי לא מן העולם המה כאשר גם אנכי לא מן העולם אני׃

¹⁵I pray not that thou shouldest take them from the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil [one].

¹⁵Je ne te prie pas de les ôter du monde, mais de les préserver du mal.

¹⁵ולא אעתיר לך אשר תקחם מן העולם רק שתצרם מן הרע׃

¹⁶They are not of the world even as I am not of the world.

¹⁶Ils ne sont pas du monde, comme moi je ne suis pas du monde.

¹⁶מן העולם אינמו כאשר גם אנכי אינני מן העולם׃

¹⁷Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.

¹⁷Sanctifie-les par ta vérité: ta parole est la vérité.

¹⁷קדש אתם באמתך דברך אמת הוא׃

¹⁸As thou didst send me into the world, even so sent I them into the world.

¹⁸Comme tu m'as envoyé dans le monde, je les ai aussi envoyés dans le monde.

¹⁸כאשר אתה שלחת אתי אל העולם כן גם אני שלחתי אתם אל העולם׃

¹⁹And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.

¹⁹Et je me sanctifie moi-même pour eux, afin qu'eux aussi soient sanctifiés par la vérité.

¹⁹והתקדשתי בעדם למען יהיו גם הם מקדשים באמת׃

²⁰Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word;

²⁰Ce n'est pas pour eux seulement que je prie, mais encore pour ceux qui croiront en moi par leur parole,

²⁰אולם לא לבד בעד אלה אנכי מעתיר לך כי אם גם בעד המאמינים בי על פי דברם׃

²¹that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us: that the world may believe that thou didst send me.

²¹afin que tous soient un, comme toi, Père, tu es en moi, et comme je suis en toi, afin qu'eux aussi soient un en nous, pour que le monde croie que tu m'as envoyé.

²¹למען יהיו כלם אחד כאשר אתה אבי בי אתה ואני בך והיו גם המה בנו כאשר למען יאמין העולם כי אתה שלחתני׃

²²And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we [are] one;

²²Je leur ai donné la gloire que tu m'as donnée, afin qu'ils soient un comme nous sommes un, -

²²ואני נתתי להם את הכבוד אשר נתת לי למען יהיו אחד כאשר אנחנו אחד נחנו׃

²³I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me.

²³moi en eux, et toi en moi, -afin qu'ils soient parfaitement un, et que le monde connaisse que tu m'as envoyé et que tu les as aimés comme tu m'as aimé.

²³אני בהם ואתה בי למען יהיו משלמים לאחד ולמען ידע העולם כי אתה שלחתני ואהבת אתם כאשר אהבתני׃

²⁴Father, I desire that they also whom thou hast given me be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

²⁴Père, je veux que là où je suis ceux que tu m'as donnés soient aussi avec moi, afin qu'ils voient ma gloire, la gloire que tu m'as donnée, parce que tu m'as aimé avant la fondation du monde.

²⁴אבי חפצתי כי גם הם אשר נתתם לי יהיו עמי באשר אהיה אני למען יחזו את כבודי אשר נתת לי כי אהבתני לפני מוסדות עולם׃

²⁵O righteous Father, the world knew thee not, but I knew thee; and these knew that thou didst send me;

²⁵Père juste, le monde ne t'a point connu; mais moi je t'ai connu, et ceux-ci ont connu que tu m'as envoyé.

²⁵אבי הצדיק הן העולם לא ידעך ואני ידעתיך ואלה הכירו כי אתה שלחתני׃

²⁶and I made known unto them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou lovedst me may be in them, and I in them.

²⁶Je leur ai fait connaître ton nom, et je le leur ferai connaître, afin que l'amour dont tu m'as aimé soit en eux, et que je sois en eux.

²⁶ואני הודעתים את שמך ואוסיף להודיעם למען תהיה בם האהבה אשר אהבתני ואני אהיה בהם׃
