¹After these things Jesus manifested himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and he manifested [himself] on this wise.

¹Après cela, Jésus se montra encore aux disciples, sur les bords de la mer de Tibériade. Et voici de quelle manière il se montra.

¹ויהי אחרי כן ויסף ישוע הגלות אל תלמידיו על ים טיבריה וכה נגלה אליהם׃

²There was together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the [sons] of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.

²Simon Pierre, Thomas, appelé Didyme, Nathanaël, de Cana en Galilée, les fils de Zébédée, et deux autres disciples de Jésus, étaient ensemble.

²שמעון פטרוס ותומא הנקרא דידומוס ונתנאל מקנה אשר בארץ הגליל ובני זבדי ועוד שנים אחרים מתלמידיו ישבו יחדו׃

³Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also come with thee. They went forth, and entered into the boat; and that night they took nothing.

³Simon Pierre leur dit: Je vais pêcher. Ils lui dirent: Nous allons aussi avec toi. Ils sortirent et montèrent dans une barque, et cette nuit-là ils ne prirent rien.

³ויאמר אליהם שמעון פטרוס הנני הלך לדיג ויאמרו אליו גם אנחנו נלך עמך ויצאו וימהרו לרדת אל האניה ובלילה ההוא לא אחזו מאומה׃

⁴But when day was now breaking, Jesus stood on the beach: yet the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

⁴Le matin étant venu, Jésus se trouva sur le rivage; mais les disciples ne savaient pas que c'était Jésus.

⁴הבקר אור וישוע עמד על שפת הים ולא ידעו התלמידים כי ישוע הוא׃

⁵Jesus therefore saith unto them, Children, have ye aught to eat? They answered him, No.

⁵Jésus leur dit: Enfants, n'avez-vous rien à manger? Ils lui répondirent: Non.

⁵ויאמר אליהם ישוע בני היש לכם אכל מאומה ויענו אתו אין׃

⁶And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

⁶Il leur dit: Jetez le filet du côté droit de la barque, et vous trouverez. Ils le jetèrent donc, et ils ne pouvaient plus le retirer, à cause de la grande quantité de poissons.

⁶ויאמר להם השליכו המכמרת מימין לאניה ותמצאו וישליכו ולא יכלו עוד למשך אתה מרב הדגים׃

⁷That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his coat about him (for he was naked), and cast himself into the sea.

⁷Alors le disciple que Jésus aimait dit à Pierre: C'est le Seigneur! Et Simon Pierre, dès qu'il eut entendu que c'était le Seigneur, mit son vêtement et sa ceinture, car il était nu, et se jeta dans la mer.

⁷ויאמר התלמיד ההוא אשר ישוע אהבו אל פטרוס זה הוא האדון ויהי כשמע שמעון פטרוס כי הוא האדון ויחגר את מעילו כי עירום היה ויתנפל אל הים׃

⁸But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits off), dragging the net [full] of fishes.

⁸Les autres disciples vinrent avec la barque, tirant le filet plein de poissons, car ils n'étaient éloignés de terre que d'environ deux cents coudées.

⁸והתלמידים הנשארים באו בספינה כי לא הרחיקו מן היבשה כי אם כמאתים אמה וימשכו את המכמרת עם הדגים׃

⁹So when they got out upon the land, they see a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.

⁹Lorsqu'ils furent descendus à terre, ils virent là des charbons allumés, du poisson dessus, et du pain.

⁹ויהי כצאתם אל היבשה ויראו שם גחלי אש ערוכים ודגים עליהם ולחם לאכל׃

¹⁰Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now taken.

¹⁰Jésus leur dit: Apportez des poissons que vous venez de prendre.

¹⁰ויאמר אליהם ישוע הביאו הלם מן הדגים אשר אחזתם עתה׃

¹¹Simon Peter therefore went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fishes, a hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, the net was not rent.

¹¹Simon Pierre monta dans la barque, et tira à terre le filet plein de cent cinquante-trois grands poissons; et quoiqu'il y en eût tant, le filet ne se rompit point.

¹¹ויעל שמעון פטרוס וימשך את המכמרת אל היבשה והיא מלאה דגים גדולים מאה וחמשים ושלשה ולא נקרעה המכמרת אף כי רבים היו׃

¹²Jesus saith unto them, Come [and] break your fast. And none of the disciples durst inquire of him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

¹²Jésus leur dit: Venez, mangez. Et aucun des disciples n'osait lui demander: Qui es-tu? sachant que c'était le Seigneur.

¹²ויאמר אליהם ישוע באו ברו לחם ואין גם אחד בתלמידים אשר מלאו לבו לשאל אתו מי אתה כי ידעו אשר הוא האדון׃

¹³Jesus cometh, and taketh the bread, and giveth them, and the fish likewise.

¹³Jésus s'approcha, prit le pain, et leur en donna; il fit de même du poisson.

¹³ויבא ישוע ויקח את הלחם ויתן להם וגם את הדגים׃

¹⁴This is now the third time that Jesus was manifested to the disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

¹⁴C'était déjà la troisième fois que Jésus se montrait à ses disciples depuis qu'il était ressuscité des morts.

¹⁴וזאת היא הפעם השלישית אשר נגלה ישוע אל תלמידיו אחרי קומו מעם המתים׃

¹⁵So when they had broken their fast, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of John, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

¹⁵Après qu'ils eurent mangé, Jésus dit à Simon Pierre: Simon, fils de Jonas, m'aimes-tu plus que ne m'aiment ceux-ci? Il lui répondit: Oui, Seigneur, tu sais que je t'aime. Jésus lui dit: Pais mes agneaux.

¹⁵ויהי אחרי אכלם אמר ישוע אל שמעון פטרוס שמעון בן יונה התאהב אתי יותר מאלה ויאמר אליו כן אדני אתה ידעת כי אהבתיך ויאמר אליו רעה את טלאי׃

¹⁶He saith to him again a second time, Simon, [son] of John, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Tend my sheep.

¹⁶Il lui dit une seconde fois: Simon, fils de Jonas, m'aimes-tu? Pierre lui répondit: Oui, Seigneur, tu sais que je t'aime. Jésus lui dit: Pais mes brebis.

¹⁶ויאמר אליו עוד הפעם שמעון בן יונה התאהב אתי ויאמר אליו כן אדני אתה ידעת כי אהבתיך ויאמר אליו נהג את צאני׃

¹⁷He saith unto him the third time, Simon, [son] of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

¹⁷Il lui dit pour la troisième fois: Simon, fils de Jonas, m'aimes-tu? Pierre fut attristé de ce qu'il lui avait dit pour la troisième fois: M'aimes-tu? Et il lui répondit: Seigneur, tu sais toutes choses, tu sais que je t'aime. Jésus lui dit: Pais mes brebis.

¹⁷ויאמר אליו פעם שלישית שמעון בן יונה התאהב אתי ויתעצב פטרוס על כי אמר אליו בשלישית התאהב אתי ויאמר אליו אדני את כל אתה יודע וידעת כי אהבתיך ויאמר אליו ישוע רעה את צאני׃

¹⁸Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.

¹⁸En vérité, en vérité, je te le dis, quand tu étais plus jeune, tu te ceignais toi-même, et tu allais où tu voulais; mais quand tu seras vieux, tu étendras tes mains, et un autre te ceindra, et te mènera où tu ne voudras pas.

¹⁸אמן אמן אני אמר לך בהיותך צעיר לימים אתה חגרת את עצמך ותלך אל אשר חפצת והיה כאשר תזקן ופרשת כפיך ואחר יחגרך ונשאך אל אשר לא תחפץ׃

¹⁹Now this he spake, signifying by what manner of death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

¹⁹Il dit cela pour indiquer par quelle mort Pierre glorifierait Dieu. Et ayant ainsi parlé, il lui dit: Suis-moi.

¹⁹וכל זאת דבר לרמז על המיתה אשר יכבד בה את האלהים ויהי ככלותו לדבר ויאמר אליו לך אחרי׃

²⁰Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; who also leaned back on his breast at the supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee?

²⁰Pierre, s'étant retourné, vit venir après eux le disciple que Jésus aimait, celui qui, pendant le souper, s'était penché sur la poitrine de Jésus, et avait dit: Seigneur, qui est celui qui te livre?

²⁰ויפן פטרוס וירא את התלמיד אשר ישוע אהבו הלך אחריהם הוא הנפל על לבו בעת הסעודה וגם שאל אדני מי הוא זה אשר ימסרך׃

²¹Peter therefore seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?

²¹En le voyant, Pierre dit à Jésus: Et celui-ci, Seigneur, que lui arrivera-t-il?

²¹ויהי בראות אתו פטרוס ויאמר אל ישוע אדני וזה מה הוא׃

²²Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee? Follow thou me.

²²Jésus lui dit: Si je veux qu'il demeure jusqu'à ce que je vienne, que t'importe? Toi, suis-moi.

²²ויאמר אליו ישוע אם חפצי כי ישאר עד באי מה לך ולזאת אתה לך אחרי׃

²³This saying therefore went forth among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, that he should not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee?

²³Là-dessus, le bruit courut parmi les frères que ce disciple ne mourrait point. Cependant Jésus n'avait pas dit à Pierre qu'il ne mourrait point; mais: Si je veux qu'il demeure jusqu'à ce que je vienne, que t'importe?

²³על כן יצא הדבר הזה בין האחים כי התלמיד ההוא לא ימות וישוע לא אמר לו כי לא ימות אך אמר אם חפצי כי ישאר עד באי מה זה לך׃

²⁴This is the disciple that beareth witness of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his witness is true.

²⁴C'est ce disciple qui rend témoignage de ces choses, et qui les a écrites. Et nous savons que son témoignage est vrai.

²⁴זה הוא התלמיד המעיד על אלה ואשר כתב כל זאת וידענו כי עדותו נאמנה׃

²⁵And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that should be written.

²⁵Jésus a fait encore beaucoup d'autres choses; si on les écrivait en détail, je ne pense pas que le monde même pût contenir les livres qu'on écrirait.

²⁵ויש עוד מעשים רבים אחרים אשר עשה ישוע ואם יכתבו כלם לאחד אחד אחשבה כי גם העולם כלו לא יכיל את הספרים אשר יכתבו אמן׃
