¹And he looked up, and saw the rich men that were casting their gifts into the treasury.

¹Jésus, ayant levé les yeux, vit les riches qui mettaient leurs offrandes dans le tronc.

¹ויבט וירא את העשירים משליכים את נדבותם לארון האוצר׃

²And he saw a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.

²Il vit aussi une pauvre veuve, qui y mettait deux petites pièces.

²וירא גם אלמנה עניה נתנת בו שתי פרוטות׃

³And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, This poor widow cast in more than they all:

³Et il dit: Je vous le dis en vérité, cette pauvre veuve a mis plus que tous les autres;

³ויאמר אמת אמר אני לכם כי האלמנה העניה הזאת נתנה יותר מכלם׃

⁴for all these did of their superfluity cast in unto the gifts; but she of her want did cast in all the living that she had.

⁴car c'est de leur superflu que tous ceux-là ont mis des offrandes dans le tronc, mais elle a mis de son nécessaire, tout ce qu'elle avait pour vivre.

⁴כי כל אלה התנדבו לאלהים מהעדף שלהם והיא מחסרונה את כל רכושה נתנה׃

⁵And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and offerings, he said,

⁵Comme quelques-uns parlaient des belles pierres et des offrandes qui faisaient l'ornement du temple, Jésus dit:

⁵ויהי באמרם על המקדש כי מהדר הוא באבנים יפות ובמתנות ויאמר׃

⁶As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in which there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

⁶Les jours viendront où, de ce que vous voyez, il ne restera pas pierre sur pierre qui ne soit renversée.

⁶את אשר אתם ראים הנה ימים באים ולא תשאר אבן על אבן אשר לא תתפרק׃

⁷And they asked him, saying, Teacher, when therefore shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign when these things are about to come to pass?

⁷Ils lui demandèrent: Maître, quand donc cela arrivera-t-il, et à quel signe connaîtra-t-on que ces choses vont arriver?

⁷וישאלהו לאמר רבי מתי אפוא תהיה זאת ומה הוא האות לעת היותה׃

⁸And he said, Take heed that ye be not led astray: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am [he]; and, The time is at hand: go ye not after them.

⁸Jésus répondit: Prenez garde que vous ne soyez séduits. Car plusieurs viendront en mon nom, disant: C'est moi, et le temps approche. Ne les suivez pas.

⁸ויאמר ראו פן תתעו כי רבים יבאו בשמי לאמר אני הוא והעת קרובה ואתם אל תלכו אחריהם׃

⁹And when ye shall hear of wars and tumults, be not terrified: for these things must needs come to pass first; but the end is not immediately.

⁹Quand vous entendrez parler de guerres et de soulèvements, ne soyez pas effrayés, car il faut que ces choses arrivent premièrement. Mais ce ne sera pas encore la fin.

⁹ובשמעכם מלחמות ומהומות אל תחתו כי היו תהיה זאת לראשונה אך עוד קץ למועד׃

¹⁰Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom;

¹⁰Alors il leur dit: Une nation s'élèvera contre une nation, et un royaume contre un royaume;

¹⁰ויסף דבר אליהם לאמר יקום גוי על גוי וממלכה על ממלכה׃

¹¹and there shall be great earthquakes, and in divers places famines and pestilences; and there shall be terrors and great signs from heaven.

¹¹il y aura de grands tremblements de terre, et, en divers lieux, des pestes et des famines; il y aura des phénomènes terribles, et de grands signes dans le ciel.

¹¹והיה רעש גדול כה וכה ורעב ודבר וגם מוראים ואתות גדלות מן השמים׃

¹²But before all these things, they shall lay their hands on you, and shall persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name's sake.

¹²Mais, avant tout cela, on mettra la main sur vous, et l'on vous persécutera; on vous livrera aux synagogues, on vous jettera en prison, on vous mènera devant des rois et devant des gouverneurs, à cause de mon nom.

¹²ולפני כל אלה ישלחו בכם את ידיהם וירדפו וימסרו אתכם לבתי כנסיות ואל בתי כלאים ותובאו לפני מלכים ומשלים למען שמי׃

¹³It shall turn out unto you for a testimony.

¹³Cela vous arrivera pour que vous serviez de témoignage.

¹³והיתה זאת לכם לעדות׃

¹⁴Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate beforehand how to answer:

¹⁴Mettez-vous donc dans l'esprit de ne pas préméditer votre défense;

¹⁴על כן שיתו לבבכם לבלתי דאג במה תצטדקו׃

¹⁵for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to withstand or to gainsay.

¹⁵car je vous donnerai une bouche et une sagesse à laquelle tous vos adversaires ne pourront résister ou contredire.

¹⁵כי אנכי נתן לכם פה וחכמה אשר לא יוכלו לעמד לפניה ולדבר נגדה כל מתקוממיכם׃

¹⁶But ye shall be delivered up even by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolk, and friends; and [some] of you shall they cause to be put to death.

¹⁶Vous serez livrés même par vos parents, par vos frères, par vos proches et par vos amis, et ils feront mourir plusieurs d'entre vous.

¹⁶וגם תמסרו על ידי יולדיכם ואחיכם וקרוביכם ורעיכם וימיתו מכם׃

¹⁷And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

¹⁷Vous serez haïs de tous, à cause de mon nom.

¹⁷והייתם שנואים לכל אדם למען שמי׃

¹⁸And not a hair of your head shall perish.

¹⁸Mais il ne se perdra pas un cheveu de votre tête;

¹⁸אך לא יפל משערת ראשכם ארצה׃

¹⁹In your patience ye shall win your souls.

¹⁹par votre persévérance vous sauverez vos âmes.

¹⁹בתוחלתכם קנו לכם את נפשתיכם׃

²⁰But when ye see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that her desolation is at hand.

²⁰Lorsque vous verrez Jérusalem investie par des armées, sachez alors que sa désolation est proche.

²⁰וכאשר תראו מחנות סובבים את ירושלים ידע תדעו כי קרב חרבנה׃

²¹Then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains; and let them that are in the midst of her depart out; and let not them that are in the country enter therein.

²¹Alors, que ceux qui seront en Judée fuient dans les montagnes, que ceux qui seront au milieu de Jérusalem en sortent, et que ceux qui seront dans les champs n'entrent pas dans la ville.

²¹אז ינוסו אנשי יהודה אל ההרים ואשר הם בתוכה יצאו ואשר הם בפרזות אל יבואו בה׃

²²For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

²²Car ce seront des jours de vengeance, pour l'accomplissement de tout ce qui est écrit.

²²כי ימי נקם המה למלאת כל הכתוב׃

²³Woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days! for there shall be great distress upon the land, and wrath unto this people.

²³Malheur aux femmes qui seront enceintes et à celles qui allaiteront en ces jours-là! Car il y aura une grande détresse dans le pays, et de la colère contre ce peuple.

²³ואוי להרות ולמיניקות בימים ההם כי תהיה צרה גדולה בארץ וקצף על העם הזה׃

²⁴And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led captive into all the nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

²⁴Ils tomberont sous le tranchant de l'épée, ils seront emmenés captifs parmi toutes les nations, et Jérusalem sera foulée aux pieds par les nations, jusqu'à ce que les temps des nations soient accomplis.

²⁴ונפלו לפי חרב והגלו אל כל הגוים וירושלים תרמס ברגלי גוים עד כי ימלאו עתות הגוים׃

²⁵And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the billows;

²⁵Il y aura des signes dans le soleil, dans la lune et dans les étoiles. Et sur la terre, il y aura de l'angoisse chez les nations qui ne sauront que faire, au bruit de la mer et des flots,

²⁵והיו אתות בשמש ובירח ובכוכבים ועל הארץ מצוקה לגוים ומבוכה מהמית הים ודכיו׃

²⁶men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world: for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

²⁶les hommes rendant l'âme de terreur dans l'attente de ce qui surviendra pour la terre; car les puissances des cieux seront ébranlées.

²⁶וימוגו בני האדם מאימה ומחרדת הבאות על כל הארץ כי כחות השמים יתמוטטו׃

²⁷And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

²⁷Alors on verra le Fils de l'homme venant sur une nuée avec puissance et une grande gloire.

²⁷ואז יראו את בן האדם בא בענן בגבורה ובכבוד רב׃

²⁸But when these things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads; because your redemption draweth nigh.

²⁸Quand ces choses commenceront à arriver, redressez-vous et levez vos têtes, parce que votre délivrance approche.

²⁸וכאשר תחל להיות זאת התעודדו ושאו ראשיכם כי קרובה גאלתכם לבוא׃

²⁹And he spake to them a parable: Behold the fig tree, and all the trees:

²⁹Et il leur dit une comparaison: Voyez le figuier, et tous les arbres.

²⁹וידבר אליהם משל ראו את התאנה ואת כל העצים׃

³⁰when they now shoot forth, ye see it and know of your own selves that the summer is now nigh.

³⁰Dès qu'ils ont poussé, vous connaissez de vous-mêmes, en regardant, que déjà l'été est proche.

³⁰כי תראו אתם מוציאים את פרחם הלא ידעתם כי קרב הקיץ׃

³¹Even so ye also, when ye see these things coming to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh.

³¹De même, quand vous verrez ces choses arriver, sachez que le royaume de Dieu est proche.

³¹ככה אף אתם בבא אלה לעיניכם דעו כי קרובה מלכות האלהים׃

³²Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all things be accomplished.

³²Je vous le dis en vérité, cette génération ne passera point, que tout cela n'arrive.

³²אמן אמר אני לכם לא יעבר הדור הזה עד כי יהיה הכל׃

³³Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

³³Le ciel et la terre passeront, mais mes paroles ne passeront point.

³³השמים והארץ יעברו ודברי לא יעברון׃

³⁴But take heed to yourselves, lest haply your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come on you suddenly as a snare:

³⁴Prenez garde à vous-mêmes, de crainte que vos coeurs ne s'appesantissent par les excès du manger et du boire, et par les soucis de la vie, et que ce jour ne vienne sur vous à l'improviste;

³⁴רק השמרו לכם פן יכבד לבבכם בסבא ובשכרון ובדאגות המחיה ובא עליכם היום ההוא פתאם׃

³⁵for [so] shall it come upon all them that dwell on the face of all the earth.

³⁵car il viendra comme un filet sur tous ceux qui habitent sur la face de toute la terre.

³⁵כי כמו פח יבוא על כל הישבים על פני כל הארץ׃

³⁶But watch ye at every season, making supplication, that ye may prevail to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

³⁶Veillez donc et priez en tout temps, afin que vous ayez la force d'échapper à toutes ces choses qui arriveront, et de paraître debout devant le Fils de l'homme.

³⁶לכן שקדו בכל עת והתפללו למען תעצרו כח להמלט מכל העתידות האלה ולהתיצב לפני בן האדם׃

³⁷And every day he was teaching in the temple; and every night he went out, and lodged in the mount that is called Olivet.

³⁷Pendant le jour, Jésus enseignait dans le temple, et il allait passer la nuit à la montagne appelée montagne des oliviers.

³⁷ויהי מלמד יומם במקדש ובלילה יצא בהר הנקרא הר הזיתים ללון׃

³⁸And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, to hear him.

³⁸Et tout le peuple, dès le matin, se rendait vers lui dans le temple pour l'écouter.

³⁸וכל העם השכימו לבוא אליו במקדש לשמע אותו׃
