¹And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there who had his hand withered.

¹Jésus entra de nouveau dans la synagogue. Il s'y trouvait un homme qui avait la main sèche.

¹וישב ויבאו אל בית הכנסת ושם איש אשר ידו יבשה׃

²And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.

²Ils observaient Jésus, pour voir s'il le guérirait le jour du sabbat: c'était afin de pouvoir l'accuser.

²ויתבוננו בו אם ירפאהו בשבת למען ימצאו עליו שטנה׃

³And he saith unto the man that had his hand withered, Stand forth.

³Et Jésus dit à l'homme qui avait la main sèche: Lève-toi, là au milieu.

³ויאמר אל האיש אשר יבשה ידו קום עמד בתוך׃

⁴And he saith unto them, Is it lawful on the sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

⁴Puis il leur dit: Est-il permis, le jour du sabbat, de faire du bien ou de faire du mal, de sauver une personne ou de la tuer? Mais ils gardèrent le silence.

⁴ויאמר אליהם הנכון בשבת להיטיב או להרע להציל נפש או לאבדה ויחרישו׃

⁵And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their heart, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth; and his hand was restored.

⁵Alors, promenant ses regards sur eux avec indignation, et en même temps affligé de l'endurcissement de leur coeur, il dit à l'homme: Etends ta main. Il l'étendit, et sa main fut guérie.

⁵ויבט אליהם סביב בחמה ויתעצב על טמטום לבבם ויאמר אל האיש פשט את ידך ויפשט ידו ותרפא ותשב כאחרת׃

⁶And the Pharisees went out, and straightway with the Herodians took counsel against him, how they might destroy him.

⁶Les pharisiens sortirent, et aussitôt ils se consultèrent avec les hérodiens sur les moyens de le faire périr.

⁶והפרושים יצאו מהרה ויתיעצו עליו עם ההורדוסיים לאבדו׃

⁷And Jesus with his disciples withdrew to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed; and from Judaea,

⁷Jésus se retira vers la mer avec ses disciples. Une grande multitude le suivit de la Galilée; et de la Judée,

⁷וישוע סר משם עם תלמידיו אל יד הים וילכו אחריו המון עם רב מן הגליל ומיהודה׃

⁸and from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and beyond the Jordan, and about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came unto him.

⁸et de Jérusalem, et de l'Idumée, et d'au delà du Jourdain, et des environs de Tyr et de Sidon, une grande multitude, apprenant tout ce qu'il faisait, vint à lui.

⁸ומירושלים ומאדום ומעבר הירדן ומסביבות צור וצידון המון רב אשר שמעו את כל אשר עשה ויבאו אליו׃

⁹And he spake to his disciples, that a little boat should wait on him because of the crowd, lest they should throng him:

⁹Il chargea ses disciples de tenir toujours à sa disposition une petite barque, afin de ne pas être pressé par la foule.

⁹ויאמר אל תלמידיו כי יכינו לו אניה קטנה מפני העם למען לא ילחצוהו׃

¹⁰for he had healed many; insomuch that as many as had plagues pressed upon him that they might touch him.

¹⁰Car, comme il guérissait beaucoup de gens, tous ceux qui avaient des maladies se jetaient sur lui pour le toucher.

¹⁰כי רפא לרבים עד כי התנפלו עליו כל המנגעים לנגע בו׃

¹¹And the unclean spirits, whensoever they beheld him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

¹¹Les esprits impurs, quand ils le voyaient, se prosternaient devant lui, et s'écriaient: Tu es le Fils de Dieu.

¹¹והרוחות הטמאות כראותן אתו נפלו לפניו ותצעקנה לאמר אתה הוא בן אלהים׃

¹²And he charged them much that they should not make him known.

¹²Mais il leur recommandait très sévèrement de ne pas le faire connaître.

¹²ויגער בהן מאד אשר לא תגלינה אותו׃

¹³And he goeth up into the mountain, and calleth unto him whom he himself would; and they went unto him.

¹³Il monta ensuite sur la montagne; il appela ceux qu'il voulut, et ils vinrent auprès de lui.

¹³ויעל אל ההר ויקרא אל אשר הוא חפץ בם ויבאו אליו׃

¹⁴And he appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

¹⁴Il en établit douze, pour les avoir avec lui, et pour les envoyer prêcher

¹⁴וישם שנים עשר איש למען יהיו אתו ולמען ישלחם לקרא׃

¹⁵and to have authority to cast out demons:

¹⁵avec le pouvoir de chasser les démons.

¹⁵והיה להם השלטן לרפא את התחלאים ולגרש את השדים׃

¹⁶and Simon he surnamed Peter;

¹⁶Voici les douze qu'il établit: Simon, qu'il nomma Pierre;

¹⁶ויכנה את שמעון בשם פטרוס׃

¹⁷and James the [son] of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and them he surnamed Boanerges, which is, Sons of thunder:

¹⁷Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et Jean, frère de Jacques, auxquels il donna le nom de Boanergès, qui signifie fils du tonnerre;

¹⁷ואת יעקב בן זבדי ואת יוחנן אחי יעקב ויכנה אתם בשם בני רגוש הוא בני רעם׃

¹⁸and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the [son] of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Cananaean,

¹⁸André; Philippe; Barthélemy; Matthieu; Thomas; Jacques, fils d'Alphée; Thaddée; Simon le Cananite;

¹⁸ואת אנדרי ואת פילפוס ואת בר תלמי ואת מתי ואת תומא ואת יעקב בן חלפי ואת תדי ואת שמעון הקני׃

¹⁹and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. And he cometh into a house.

¹⁹et Judas Iscariot, celui qui livra Jésus. Ils se rendirent à la maison,

¹⁹ואת יהודה איש קריות אשר גם מסרו׃

²⁰And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

²⁰et la foule s'assembla de nouveau, en sorte qu'ils ne pouvaient pas même prendre leur repas.

²⁰ויבאו הביתה וישב המון העם להתאסף עד כי לא יכלו אף לאכל לחם׃

²¹And when his friends heard it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.

²¹Les parents de Jésus, ayant appris ce qui se passait, vinrent pour se saisir de lui; car ils disaient: Il est hors de sens.

²¹וישמעו קרוביו ויצאו להחזיק בו כי אמרו יצא מדעתו׃

²²And the scribes that came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and, By the prince of the demons casteth he out the demons.

²²Et les scribes, qui étaient descendus de Jérusalem, dirent: Il est possédé de Béelzébul; c'est par le prince des démons qu'il chasse les démons.

²²והסופרים אשר ירדו מירושלים אמרו כי בעל זבוב נכנס בו ועל ידי שר השדים הוא מגרש את השדים׃

²³And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?

²³Jésus les appela, et leur dit sous forme de paraboles: Comment Satan peut-il chasser Satan?

²³ויקרא אותם אליו וידבר להם במשלים לאמר איך יוכל השטן לגרש השטן׃

²⁴And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

²⁴Si un royaume est divisé contre lui-même, ce royaume ne peut subsister;

²⁴ואם נחלקה ממלכה על עצמה לא תוכל לעמד הממלכה ההיא׃

²⁵And if a house be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.

²⁵et si une maison est divisée contre elle-même, cette maison ne peut subsister.

²⁵ובית אם נחלק על עצמו לא יוכל לעמד הבית ההוא׃

²⁶And if Satan hath rise up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.

²⁶Si donc Satan se révolte contre lui-même, il est divisé, et il ne peut subsister, mais c'en est fait de lui.

²⁶ואם השטן יתקומם אל עצמו ונחלק לא יוכל לעמד כי בא קצו׃

²⁷But no one can enter into the house of the strong [man], and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong [man]; and then he will spoil his house.

²⁷Personne ne peut entrer dans la maison d'un homme fort et piller ses biens, sans avoir auparavant lié cet homme fort; alors il pillera sa maison.

²⁷אין איש אשר יכל לבוא לבית הגבור ולגזל את כליו אם לא יאסר בראשונה את הגבור ואחר ישסה את ביתו׃

²⁸Verily I say unto you, All their sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and their blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

²⁸Je vous le dis en vérité, tous les péchés seront pardonnés aux fils des hommes, et les blasphèmes qu'ils auront proférés;

²⁸אמן אמר אני לכם כי כל החטאים יסלחו לבני אדם וכל הגדופים אשר יגדפו׃

²⁹but whosoever shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath never forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin:

²⁹mais quiconque blasphémera contre le Saint-Esprit n'obtiendra jamais de pardon: il est coupable d'un péché éternel.

²⁹אך המגדף את רוח הקדש אין לו סליחה לעולם כי יאשם בעונו לנצח׃

³⁰because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

³⁰Jésus parla ainsi parce qu'ils disaient: Il est possédé d'un esprit impur.

³⁰כי המה אמרו רוח טמאה בו׃

³¹And there come his mother and his brethren; and, standing without, they sent unto him, calling him.

³¹Survinrent sa mère et ses frères, qui, se tenant dehors, l'envoyèrent appeler.

³¹ויבאו אמו ואחיו ויעמדו מחוץ לבית וישלחו אליו לקרא לו׃

³²And a multitude was sitting about him; and they say unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.

³²La foule était assise autour de lui, et on lui dit: Voici, ta mère et tes frères sont dehors et te demandent.

³²והמון העם ישבו סביביו ויאמרו אליו הנה אמך ואחיך בחוץ מבקשים אותך׃

³³And he answereth them, and saith, Who is my mother and my brethren?

³³Et il répondit: Qui est ma mère, et qui sont mes frères?

³³ויען ויאמר אליהם מי הם אמי ואחי׃

³⁴And looking round on them that sat round about him, he saith, Behold, my mother and my brethren!

³⁴Puis, jetant les regards sur ceux qui étaient assis tout autour de lui: Voici, dit-il, ma mère et mes frères.

³⁴ויבט סביב אל הישבים סביביו ויאמר הנה אמי ואחי׃

³⁵For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

³⁵Car, quiconque fait la volonté de Dieu, celui-là est mon frère, ma soeur, et ma mère.

³⁵כי כל אשר יעשה רצון האלהים הוא אחי ואחותי ואמי׃
