1And he called unto him his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of disease and all manner of sickness.
1Puis, ayant appelé ses douze disciples, il leur donna le pouvoir de chasser les esprits impurs, et de guérir toute maladie et toute infirmité.
1ויקרא אליו את שנים עשר תלמידיו ויתן להם שלטן על רוחות הטמאה לגרשם ולרפוא כל חלי וכל מדוה׃
2Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother;
2Voici les noms des douze apôtres. Le premier, Simon appelé Pierre, et André, son frère; Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et Jean, son frère;
2ואלה שמות שנים עשר השליחים הראשון שמעון הנקרא פטרוס ואנדרי אחיו יעקב בן זבדי ויוחנן אחיו׃
3Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the [son] of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;
3Philippe, et Barthélemy; Thomas, et Matthieu, le publicain; Jacques, fils d'Alphée, et Thaddée;
3פילפוס ובר תלמי תומא ומתי המוכס יעקב בן חלפי ולבי המכנה תדי׃
4Simon the Cananaean, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
4Simon le Cananite, et Judas l'Iscariot, celui qui livra Jésus.
4שמעון הקני ויהודה איש קריות אשר גם מסר אתו׃
5These twelve Jesus sent forth, and charged them, saying, Go not into [any] way of the Gentiles, and enter not into any city of the Samaritans:
5Tels sont les douze que Jésus envoya, après leur avoir donné les instructions suivantes: N'allez pas vers les païens, et n'entrez pas dans les villes des Samaritains;
5את שנים העשר האלה שלח ישוע ויצו אתם לאמר אל דרך הגוים אל תלכו ואל עיר השמרונים אל תבאו׃
6but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
6allez plutôt vers les brebis perdues de la maison d'Israël.
6כי אם לכו אל הצאן האבדות לבית ישראל׃
7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
7Allez, prêchez, et dites: Le royaume des cieux est proche.
7ובלכתכם קראו לאמר למכות השמים קרבה לבוא׃
8Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons: freely ye received, freely give.
8Guérissez les malades, ressuscitez les morts, purifiez les lépreux, chassez les démons. Vous avez reçu gratuitement, donnez gratuitement.
8רפאו את החולים טהרו את המצרעים הקימו את המתים ואת השדים גרשו חנם לקחתם חנם תתנו׃
9Get you no gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses;
9Ne prenez ni or, ni argent, ni monnaie, dans vos ceintures;
9לא תקחו זהב ולא כסף ולא נחשת בחגוריכם׃
10no wallet for [your] journey, neither two coats, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.
10ni sac pour le voyage, ni deux tuniques, ni souliers, ni bâton; car l'ouvrier mérite sa nourriture.
10ולא תרמיל לדרך ולא שתי כתנות ולא נעלים ולא מטה כי שוה הפעל די מחיתו׃
11And into whatsoever city or village ye shall enter, search out who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go forth.
11Dans quelque ville ou village que vous entriez, informez-vous s'il s'y trouve quelque homme digne de vous recevoir; et demeurez chez lui jusqu'à ce que vous partiez.
11וכל עיר וכפר אשר תבאו שמה דרשו מי הוא הראוי לזה בתוכה ושם שבו עד כי תצאו׃
12And as ye enter into the house, salute it.
12En entrant dans la maison, saluez-la;
12ובבואכם אל הבית שאלו לו לשלום׃
13And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
13et, si la maison en est digne, que votre paix vienne sur elle; mais si elle n'en est pas digne, que votre paix retourne à vous.
13והיה אם ראוי הבית יבוא עליו שלומכם ואם איננו ראוי שלומכם אליכם ישוב׃
14And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, as ye go forth out of that house or that city, shake off the dust of your feet.
14Lorsqu'on ne vous recevra pas et qu'on n'écoutera pas vos paroles, sortez de cette maison ou de cette ville et secouez la poussière de vos pieds.
14וכל אשר לא יקבל אתכם ולא ישמע לדבריכם צאו לכם מן הבית ההוא ומן העיר ההיא ונערו את עפר רגליכם׃
15Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.
15Je vous le dis en vérité: au jour du jugement, le pays de Sodome et de Gomorrhe sera traité moins rigoureusement que cette ville-là.
15אמן אמר אני לכם כי יקל לארץ סדום ועמרה ביום הדין מן העיר ההיא׃
16Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
16Voici, je vous envoie comme des brebis au milieu des loups. Soyez donc prudents comme les serpents, et simples comme les colombes.
16הנני שלח אתכם ככבשים בין הזאבים לכן היו ערומים כנחשים ותמימים כיונים׃
17But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to councils, and in theirs synagogues they will scourge you;
17Mettez-vous en garde contre les hommes; car ils vous livreront aux tribunaux, et ils vous battront de verges dans leurs synagogues;
17והשמרו לכם מבני האדם כי ימסרו אתכם לסנהדריות ויכו אתכם בשוטים בבתי כנסיותיהם׃
18yea and before governors and kings shall ye be brought for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
18vous serez menés, à cause de moi, devant des gouverneurs et devant des rois, pour servir de témoignage à eux et aux païens.
18ולפני משלים ומלכים תובאו למעני לעדות להם ולגוים׃
19But when they deliver you up, be not anxious how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that hour what ye shall speak.
19Mais, quand on vous livrera, ne vous inquiétez ni de la manière dont vous parlerez ni de ce que vous direz: ce que vous aurez à dire vous sera donné à l'heure même;
19וכי ימסרו אתכם אל תדאגו איך ומה תדברו כי ינתן לכם בשעה ההיא את אשר תדברו׃
20For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father that speaketh in you.
20car ce n'est pas vous qui parlerez, c'est l'Esprit de votre Père qui parlera en vous.
20כי לא אתם הם המדברים כי רוח אביכם הוא המדבר בפיכם׃
21And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and the father his child: and children shall rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.
21Le frère livrera son frère à la mort, et le père son enfant; les enfants se soulèveront contre leurs parents, et les feront mourir.
21והיה אח ימסר את אחיו למות ואב ימסר את בנו וקמו בנים באבותם וימיתו אותם׃
22And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.
22Vous serez haïs de tous, à cause de mon nom; mais celui qui persévérera jusqu'à la fin sera sauvé.
22והייתם שנואים לכל אדם למען שמי והמחכה עד עת קץ הוא יושע׃
23But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone through the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
23Quand on vous persécutera dans une ville, fuyez dans une autre. Je vous le dis en vérité, vous n'aurez pas achevé de parcourir les villes d'Israël que le Fils de l'homme sera venu.
23ואם ירדפו אתכם בעיר אחת נוסו לעיר אחרת כי אמן אמר אני לכם לא תכלו לעבר ערי ישראל עד כי יבוא בן האדם׃
24A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord.
24Le disciple n'est pas plus que le maître, ni le serviteur plus que son seigneur.
24אין תלמיד עלה על רבו ועבד על אדניו׃
25It is enough for the disciple that he be as his teacher, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more them of his household!
25Il suffit au disciple d'être traité comme son maître, et au serviteur comme son seigneur. S'ils ont appelé le maître de la maison Béelzébul, à combien plus forte raison appelleront-ils ainsi les gens de sa maison!
25דיו לתלמיד להיות כרבו ולעבד להיות כאדניו אם לבעל הבית קראו בעל זבוב אף לאנשי ביתו׃
26Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
26Ne les craignez donc point; car il n'y a rien de caché qui ne doive être découvert, ni de secret qui ne doive être connu.
26על כן לא תיראום כי אין דבר מכסה אשר לא יגלה ואין נעלם אשר לא יודע׃
27What I tell you in the darkness, speak ye in the light; and what ye hear in the ear, proclaim upon the house-tops.
27Ce que je vous dis dans les ténèbres, dites-le en plein jour; et ce qui vous est dit à l'oreille, prêchez-le sur les toits.
27את אשר אני אמר לכם בחשך דברו באור ואשר ילחש לאזניכם השמיעו על הגגות׃
28And be not afraid of them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
28Ne craignez pas ceux qui tuent le corps et qui ne peuvent tuer l'âme; craignez plutôt celui qui peut faire périr l'âme et le corps dans la géhenne.
28ואל תיראי מן ההרגים את הגוף ואת הנפש לא יוכלו להרג אך תיראו את אשר יוכל לאבד גם את הנפש גם את הגוף בגיהנם׃
29Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? and not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father:
29Ne vend-on pas deux passereaux pour un sou? Cependant, il n'en tombe pas un à terre sans la volonté de votre Père.
29הלא תמכרנה שתי צפרים באסר ואחת מהנה לא תפול ארצה מבלעדי אביכם׃
30but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
30Et même les cheveux de votre tête sont tous comptés.
30ואתם גם שערות ראשכם נמנות כלן׃
31Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
31Ne craignez donc point: vous valez plus que beaucoup de passereaux.
31לכן אל תיראו הנכם יקרים מצפרים רבות׃
32Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven.
32C'est pourquoi, quiconque me confessera devant les hommes, je le confesserai aussi devant mon Père qui est dans les cieux;
32הן כל אשר יודה בי לפני האדם אודה בו גם אני לפני אבי שבשמים׃
33But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.
33mais quiconque me reniera devant les hommes, je le renierai aussi devant mon Père qui est dans les cieux.
33ואשר יכחש בי לפני האדם אכחש בו גם אני לפני אבי שבשמים׃
34Think not that I came to send peace on the earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
34Ne croyez pas que je sois venu apporter la paix sur la terre; je ne suis pas venu apporter la paix, mais l'épée.
34אל תחשבו כי באתי להטיל שלום בארץ לא באתי להטיל שלום כי אם חרב׃
35For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law:
35Car je suis venu mettre la division entre l'homme et son père, entre la fille et sa mère, entre la belle-fille et sa belle-mère;
35כי באתי להפריד איש מאביו ובת מאמה וכלה מחמותה׃
36and a man's foes [shall be] they of his own household.
36et l'homme aura pour ennemis les gens de sa maison.
36ואיבי איש אנשי ביתו׃
37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
37Celui qui aime son père ou sa mère plus que moi n'est pas digne de moi, et celui qui aime son fils ou sa fille plus que moi n'est pas digne de moi;
37האהב את אביו ואת אמו יותר ממני איננו כדי לי והאהב את בנו ובתו יותר ממני איננו כדי לי׃
38And he that doth not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.
38celui qui ne prend pas sa croix, et ne me suit pas, n'est pas digne de moi.
38ואשר לא יקח את צלבו והלך אחרי איננו כדי לי׃
39He that findeth his life shall lose it; and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
39Celui qui conservera sa vie la perdra, et celui qui perdra sa vie à cause de moi la retrouvera.
39המצא את נפשו יאבדנה והמאבד את נפשו למעני הוא ימצאנה׃
40He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
40Celui qui vous reçoit me reçoit, et celui qui me reçoit, reçoit celui qui m'a envoyé.
40המקבל אתכם אותי הוא מקבל והמקבל אותי הוא מקבל את אשר שלחני׃
41He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward: and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.
41Celui qui reçoit un prophète en qualité de prophète recevra une récompense de prophète, et celui qui reçoit un juste en qualité de juste recevra une récompense de juste.
41המקבל נביא לשם נביא שכר נביא יקח והמקבל צדיק לשם צדיק שכר צדיק יקח׃
42And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only, in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you he shall in no wise lose his reward.
42Et quiconque donnera seulement un verre d'eau froide à l'un de ces petits parce qu'il est mon disciple, je vous le dis en vérité, il ne perdra point sa récompense.
42והמשקה את אחד הקטנים האלה רק כוס מים קרים לשם תלמיד אמן אמר אני לכם כי לא יאבד שכרו׃
