¹And he entered into a boat, and crossed over, and came into his own city.

¹Jésus, étant monté dans une barque, traversa la mer, et alla dans sa ville.

¹וירד באניה ויעבר ויבא אל עירו׃

²And behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, be of good cheer; thy sins are forgiven.

²Et voici, on lui amena un paralytique couché sur un lit. Jésus, voyant leur foi, dit au paralytique: Prends courage, mon enfant, tes péchés te sont pardonnés.

²והנה הם מביאים אליו איש נכה אברים והוא משכב על המטה ויהי כראות ישוע את אמונתם ויאמר אל נכה האברים חזק בני נסלחו לך חטאתיך׃

³And behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

³Sur quoi, quelques scribes dirent au dedans d'eux: Cet homme blasphème.

³והנה אנשים מן הסופרים אמרו בלבבם מגדף הוא׃

⁴And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

⁴Et Jésus, connaissant leurs pensées, dit: Pourquoi avez-vous de mauvaises pensées dans vos coeurs?

⁴וירא ישוע את מחשבתם ויאמר למה תחשבו רעה בלבבכם׃

⁵For which is easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven; or to say, Arise, and walk?

⁵Car, lequel est le plus aisé, de dire: Tes péchés sont pardonnés, ou de dire: Lève-toi, et marche?

⁵כי מה הנקל האמר נסלחו לך חטאתיך אם אמר קום התהלך׃

⁶But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins (then saith he to the sick of the palsy), Arise, and take up thy bed, and go up unto thy house.

⁶Or, afin que vous sachiez que le Fils de l'homme a sur la terre le pouvoir de pardonner les péchés: Lève-toi, dit-il au paralytique, prends ton lit, et va dans ta maison.

⁶אך למען תדעון כי בן האדם יש לו השלטן בארץ לסלח חטאים ויאמר אל נכה האברים קום שא את מטתך ולך לך אל ביתך׃

⁷And he arose, and departed to his house.

⁷Et il se leva, et s'en alla dans sa maison.

⁷ויקם וילך לביתו׃

⁸But when the multitudes saw it, they were afraid, and glorified God, who had given such authority unto men.

⁸Quand la foule vit cela, elle fut saisie de crainte, et elle glorifia Dieu, qui a donné aux hommes un tel pouvoir.

⁸והמון העם כראותם זאת השתוממו וישבחו את האלהים אשר נתן שלטן כזה לבני אדם׃

⁹And as Jesus passed by from thence, he saw a man, called Matthew, sitting at the place of toll: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

⁹De là étant allé plus loin, Jésus vit un homme assis au lieu des péages, et qui s'appelait Matthieu. Il lui dit: Suis-moi. Cet homme se leva, et le suivit.

⁹ויהי בעבר ישוע משם וירא איש ישב בבית המכס ושמו מתי ויאמר אליו לכה אחרי ויקם וילך אחריך׃

¹⁰And it came to pass, as he sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.

¹⁰Comme Jésus était à table dans la maison, voici, beaucoup de publicains et de gens de mauvaise vie vinrent se mettre à table avec lui et avec ses disciples.

¹⁰ויהי בהסבו בביתו והנה מוכסים וחטאים רבים באו ויסבו עם ישוע ותלמידיו׃

¹¹And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Teacher with the publicans and sinners?

¹¹Les pharisiens virent cela, et ils dirent à ses disciples: Pourquoi votre maître mange-t-il avec les publicains et les gens de mauvaise vie?

¹¹ויראו הפרושים ויאמרו אל תלמידיו מדוע עם המוכסים והחטאים אכל רבכם׃

¹²But when he heard it, he said, They that are whole have no need of a physician, but they that are sick.

¹²Ce que Jésus ayant entendu, il dit: Ce ne sont pas ceux qui se portent bien qui ont besoin de médecin, mais les malades.

¹²וישמע זאת ישוע ויאמר אליהם החזקים אינם צריכים לרפא כי אם החולים׃

¹³But go ye and learn what [this] meaneth, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice, for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

¹³Allez, et apprenez ce que signifie: Je prends plaisir à la miséricorde, et non aux sacrifices. Car je ne suis pas venu appeler des justes, mais des pécheurs.

¹³ואתם צאו ולמדו מה הוא חסד חפצתי ולא זבח כי לא באתי לקרא את הצדיקים כי אם את החטאים לתשובה׃

¹⁴Then come to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?

¹⁴Alors les disciples de Jean vinrent auprès de Jésus, et dirent: Pourquoi nous et les pharisiens jeûnons-nous, tandis que tes disciples ne jeûnent point?

¹⁴ויגשו אליו תלמידי יוחנן ויאמרו מדוע אנחנו והפרושים צמים הרבה ותלמידיך אינם צמים׃

¹⁵And Jesus said unto them, Can the sons of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then will they fast.

¹⁵Jésus leur répondit: Les amis de l'époux peuvent-ils s'affliger pendant que l'époux est avec eux? Les jours viendront où l'époux leur sera enlevé, et alors ils jeûneront.

¹⁵ויאמר אליהם ישוע איך יוכלו בני החפה להתאבל בעוד החתן עמהם הנה ימים באים ולקח מאתם החתן ואז יצומו׃

¹⁶And no man putteth a piece of undressed cloth upon an old garment; for that which should fill it up taketh from the garment, and a worse rent is made.

¹⁶Personne ne met une pièce de drap neuf à un vieil habit; car elle emporterait une partie de l'habit, et la déchirure serait pire.

¹⁶אין משים מטלית חדשה על שמלה בלה כי תנתק מלאתו מן השמלה ותרע הקריעה׃

¹⁷Neither do [men] put new wine into old wine-skins: else the skins burst, and the wine is spilled, and the skins perish: but they put new wine into fresh wine-skins, and both are preserved.

¹⁷On ne met pas non plus du vin nouveau dans de vieilles outres; autrement, les outres se rompent, le vin se répand, et les outres sont perdues; mais on met le vin nouveau dans des outres neuves, et le vin et les outres se conservent.

¹⁷ואין נותנים יין חדש בנאדות בלים פן יבקעו הנאדות והיין ישפך והנאדות יאבדו אבל נותנים את היין החדש בנאדות חדשים ושניהם יחדו ישמרו׃

¹⁸While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.

¹⁸Tandis qu'il leur adressait ces paroles, voici, un chef arriva, se prosterna devant lui, et dit: Ma fille est morte il y a un instant; mais viens, impose-lui les mains, et elle vivra.

¹⁸ויהי הוא מדבר אליהם את אלה והנה אחד השרים בא וישתחו לו ויאמר עתה זה מתה בתי בא נא ושים את ידך עליה ותחיה׃

¹⁹And Jesus arose, and followed him, and [so did] his disciples.

¹⁹Jésus se leva, et le suivit avec ses disciples.

¹⁹ויקם ישוע וילך אחריו הוא ותלמידיו׃

²⁰And behold, a woman, who had an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the border of his garment:

²⁰Et voici, une femme atteinte d'une perte de sang depuis douze ans s'approcha par derrière, et toucha le bord de son vêtement.

²⁰והנה אשה זבת דם שתים עשרה שנה נגשה מאחריו ותגע בציצת בגדו׃

²¹for she said within herself, If I do but touch his garment, I shall be made whole.

²¹Car elle disait en elle-même: Si je puis seulement toucher son vêtement, je serai guérie.

²¹כי אמרה בלבה אך אם אגע בבגדו אושע׃

²²But Jesus turning and seeing her said, Daughter, be of good cheer; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

²²Jésus se retourna, et dit, en la voyant: Prends courage, ma fille, ta foi t'a guérie. Et cette femme fut guérie à l'heure même.

²²ויפן ישוע וירא אותה ויאמר חזקי בתי אמונתך הושיעה לך ותושע האשה מן השעה ההיא׃

²³And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the flute-players, and the crowd making a tumult,

²³Lorsque Jésus fut arrivé à la maison du chef, et qu'il vit les joueurs de flûte et la foule bruyante,

²³ויבא ישוע אל בית השר וירא את המחללים בחלילים ואת העם ההומה ויאמר׃

²⁴he said, Give place: for the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.

²⁴il leur dit: Retirez-vous; car la jeune fille n'est pas morte, mais elle dort. Et ils se moquaient de lui.

²⁴סורו מפה כי לא מתה הילדה אך ישנה היא וישחקו לו׃

²⁵But when the crowd was put forth, he entered in, and took her by the hand; and the damsel arose.

²⁵Quand la foule eut été renvoyée, il entra, prit la main de la jeune fille, et la jeune fille se leva.

²⁵ויהי אחרי גרש העם ויבא הביתה ויאחז בידה ותקם הנערה׃

²⁶And the fame hereof went forth into all that land.

²⁶Le bruit s'en répandit dans toute la contrée.

²⁶ותצא השמועה הזאת בכל הארץ ההיא׃

²⁷And as Jesus passed by from thence, two blind men followed him, crying out, and saying, Have mercy on us, thou son of David.

²⁷Etant parti de là, Jésus fut suivi par deux aveugles, qui criaient: Aie pitié de nous, Fils de David!

²⁷ויעבר ישוע משם וילכו אחריו שני אנשים עורים והמה צעקעם ואמרים חננו בן דוד׃

²⁸And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

²⁸Lorsqu'il fut arrivé à la maison, les aveugles s'approchèrent de lui, et Jésus leur dit: Croyez-vous que je puisse faire cela? Oui, Seigneur, lui répondirent-ils.

²⁸וכבואו הביתה נגשו אליו העורים ויאמר אליהם ישוע המאמינים אתם כי יש לאל ידי לעשות זאת ויאמרו אליו כן אדנינו׃

²⁹Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it done unto you.

²⁹Alors il leur toucha les yeux, en disant: Qu'il vous soit fait selon votre foi.

²⁹ויגע בעיניהם ויאמר יעשה לכם כאמונתכם׃

³⁰And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

³⁰Et leurs yeux s'ouvrirent. Jésus leur fit cette recommandation sévère: Prenez garde que personne ne le sache.

³⁰ותפקחנה עיניהם ויגער בם ישוע ויאמר ראו פן יודע לאיש׃

³¹But they went forth, and spread abroad his fame in all that land.

³¹Mais, dès qu'ils furent sortis, ils répandirent sa renommée dans tout le pays.

³¹והמה בצאתם השמיעו את שמעו בכל הארץ ההיא׃

³²And as they went forth, behold, there was brought to him a dumb man possessed with a demon.

³²Comme ils s'en allaient, voici, on amena à Jésus un démoniaque muet.

³²המה יצאו והנה הביאו אליו איש אלם אחוז שד׃

³³And when the demon was cast out, the dumb man spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

³³Le démon ayant été chassé, le muet parla. Et la foule étonnée disait: Jamais pareille chose ne s'est vue en Israël.

³³וכאשר גרש השד וידבר האלם ויתמה המון האנשים ויאמרו מעולם לא נראתה כזאת בישראל׃

³⁴But the Pharisees said, By the prince of the demons casteth he out demons.

³⁴Mais les pharisiens dirent: C'est par le prince des démons qu'il chasse les démons.

³⁴והפרושים אמרו על ידי שר השדים מגרש הוא את השדים׃

³⁵And Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness.

³⁵Jésus parcourait toutes les villes et les villages, enseignant dans les synagogues, prêchant la bonne nouvelle du royaume, et guérissant toute maladie et toute infirmité.

³⁵ויסב ישוע בכל הערים והכפרים וילמד בבתי כנסיותיהם ויבשר בשורת המלכות וירפא כל מחלה וכל מדוה בעם׃

³⁶But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were distressed and scattered, as sheep not having a shepherd.

³⁶Voyant la foule, il fut ému de compassion pour elle, parce qu'elle était languissante et abattue, comme des brebis qui n'ont point de berger.

³⁶ובראותו את ההמנים נכמרו רחמיו עליהם כי הם מתעלפים ונדחים כצאן אשר אין להם רעה׃

³⁷Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest indeed is plenteous, but the laborers are few.

³⁷Alors il dit à ses disciples: La moisson est grande, mais il y a peu d'ouvriers.

³⁷אז ידבר לתלמדידיו ויאמר רב הקציר והפעלים מעטים׃

³⁸Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he send forth laborers into his harvest.

³⁸Priez donc le maître de la moisson d'envoyer des ouvriers dans sa moisson.

³⁸לכן התחננו אל בעל הקציר לשלח פעלים לקצירו׃
