¹And Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way; and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.

¹Comme Jésus s'en allait, au sortir du temple, ses disciples s'approchèrent pour lui en faire remarquer les constructions.

¹ויצא ישוע מן המקדש ללכת לדרכו ויגשו תלמידיו להראותו את בניני המקדש׃

²But he answered and said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

²Mais il leur dit: Voyez-vous tout cela? Je vous le dis en vérité, il ne restera pas ici pierre sur pierre qui ne soit renversée.

²ויען ישוע ויאמר אליהם הראיתם את כל אלה אמן אמר אני לכם לא תשאר פה אבן על אבן אשר לא תתפרק׃

³And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

³Il s'assit sur la montagne des oliviers. Et les disciples vinrent en particulier lui faire cette question: Dis-nous, quand cela arrivera-t-il, et quel sera le signe de ton avènement et de la fin du monde?

³וישב על הר הזיתים ויגשו אליו התלמידים לבדם ויאמרו אמר נא לנו מתי תהיה זאת ומה הוא אות בואך ואות קץ העולם׃

⁴And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man lead you astray.

⁴Jésus leur répondit: Prenez garde que personne ne vous séduise.

⁴ויען ישוע ויאמר להם ראו פן יתעה אתכם איש׃

⁵For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall lead many astray.

⁵Car plusieurs viendront sous mon nom, disant: C'est moi qui suis le Christ. Et ils séduiront beaucoup de gens.

⁵כי רבים יבאו בשמי לאמר אני הוא המשיח והתעו רבים׃

⁶And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for [these things] must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet.

⁶Vous entendrez parler de guerres et de bruits de guerres: gardez-vous d'être troublés, car il faut que ces choses arrivent. Mais ce ne sera pas encore la fin.

⁶ואתם עתידים לשמע מלחמות ושמעות מלחמה ראו פן תבהלו כי היו תהיה כל זאת אך עדן אין הקץ׃

⁷For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers places.

⁷Une nation s'élèvera contre une nation, et un royaume contre un royaume, et il y aura, en divers lieux, des famines et des tremblements de terre.

⁷כי יקום גוי על גוי וממלכה על ממלכה והיה רעב ודבר ורעש הנה והנה׃

⁸But all these things are the beginning of travail.

⁸Tout cela ne sera que le commencement des douleurs.

⁸וכל אלה רק ראשית החבלים׃

⁹Then shall they deliver you up unto tribulation, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all the nations for my name's sake.

⁹Alors on vous livrera aux tourments, et l'on vous fera mourir; et vous serez haïs de toutes les nations, à cause de mon nom.

⁹אז ימסרו אתכם לעני והמיתו אתכם והייתם שנואים לכל הגוים למען שמי׃

¹⁰And then shall many stumble, and shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.

¹⁰Alors aussi plusieurs succomberont, et ils se trahiront, se haïront les uns les autres.

¹⁰ואז יכשלו רבים ומסרו איש את רעהו ושנאו איש את אחיו׃

¹¹And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray.

¹¹Plusieurs faux prophètes s'élèveront, et ils séduiront beaucoup de gens.

¹¹ונביאי שקר רבים יקומו והתעו רבים׃

¹²And because iniquity shall be multiplied, the love of the many shall wax cold.

¹²Et, parce que l'iniquité se sera accrue, la charité du plus grand nombre se refroidira.

¹²ומפני אשר ירבה הרשע תפוג אהבת רבים׃

¹³But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.

¹³Mais celui qui persévérera jusqu'à la fin sera sauvé.

¹³והמחכה עד עת קץ הוא יושע׃

¹⁴And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come.

¹⁴Cette bonne nouvelle du royaume sera prêchée dans le monde entier, pour servir de témoignage à toutes les nations. Alors viendra la fin.

¹⁴ותקרא בשורת המלכות הזאת בתבל כלה לעדות לכל הגוים ואחר יבוא הקץ׃

¹⁵When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him that readeth understand),

¹⁵C'est pourquoi, lorsque vous verrez l'abomination de la désolation, dont a parlé le prophète Daniel, établie en lieu saint, -que celui qui lit fasse attention! -

¹⁵לכן כאשר תראו שקוץ משמם האמור על ידי דניאל הנביא עומד במקום קדש הקרא יבין׃

¹⁶then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains:

¹⁶alors, que ceux qui seront en Judée fuient dans les montagnes;

¹⁶אז נוס ינוסו אנשי יהודה אל ההרים׃

¹⁷let him that is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house:

¹⁷que celui qui sera sur le toit ne descende pas pour prendre ce qui est dans sa maison;

¹⁷ואשר על הגג אל ירד לשאת דבר מביתו׃

¹⁸and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak.

¹⁸et que celui qui sera dans les champs ne retourne pas en arrière pour prendre son manteau.

¹⁸ואשר בשדה אל ישב הביתה לשאת את מלבושו׃

¹⁹But woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days!

¹⁹Malheur aux femmes qui seront enceintes et à celles qui allaiteront en ces jours-là!

¹⁹ואוי להרות ולמיניקות בימים ההם׃

²⁰And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on a sabbath:

²⁰Priez pour que votre fuite n'arrive pas en hiver, ni un jour de sabbat.

²⁰אך התפללו אשר מנוסתכם לא תהיה בחרף ולא בשבת׃

²¹for then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be.

²¹Car alors, la détresse sera si grande qu'il n'y en a point eu de pareille depuis le commencement du monde jusqu'à présent, et qu'il n'y en aura jamais.

²¹כי אז תהיה צרה גדולה אשר כמוה לא נהיתה מראשית העולם עד עתה וכמוה לא תהיה עוד׃

²²And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

²²Et, si ces jours n'étaient abrégés, personne ne serait sauvé; mais, à cause des élus, ces jours seront abrégés.

²²ולולא נקצרו הימים ההם לא יושע כל בשר אך למען הבחירים יקצרו הימים ההם׃

²³Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ, or, Here; believe [it] not.

²³Si quelqu'un vous dit alors: Le Christ est ici, ou: Il est là, ne le croyez pas.

²³וכי יאמר אליכם איש בעת ההיא הנה פה המשיח או הנו שם אל תאמינו׃

²⁴For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.

²⁴Car il s'élèvera de faux Christs et de faux prophètes; ils feront de grands prodiges et des miracles, au point de séduire, s'il était possible, même les élus.

²⁴כי יקומו משיחי שקר ונביאי שקר ויתנו אתות גדלות ומופתים למען התעות אף את הבחירים אם יוכלו׃

²⁵Behold, I have told you beforehand.

²⁵Voici, je vous l'ai annoncé d'avance.

²⁵הנה מראש הגדתי לכם׃

²⁶If therefore they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the wilderness; go not forth: Behold, he is in the inner chambers; believe [it] not.

²⁶Si donc on vous dit: Voici, il est dans le désert, n'y allez pas; voici, il est dans les chambres, ne le croyez pas.

²⁶לכן כי יאמרו אליכם הנו במדבר אל תצאו הנו בחדרים אל תאמינו׃

²⁷For as the lightning cometh forth from the east, and is seen even unto the west; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.

²⁷Car, comme l'éclair part de l'orient et se montre jusqu'en occident, ainsi sera l'avènement du Fils de l'homme.

²⁷כי כברק היוצא ממזרח ומאיר עד מערב כן יהיה גם בואו של בן האדם׃

²⁸Wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

²⁸En quelque lieu que soit le cadavre, là s'assembleront les aigles.

²⁸כי באשר החלל שם יקבצו הנשרים׃

²⁹But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

²⁹Aussitôt après ces jours de détresse, le soleil s'obscurcira, la lune ne donnera plus sa lumière, les étoiles tomberont du ciel, et les puissances des cieux seront ébranlées.

²⁹ומיד אחרי צרת הימים ההם תחשך השמש והירח לא יגיה אורו והכוכבים יפלו מן השמים וכחות השמים יתמוטטו׃

³⁰and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

³⁰Alors le signe du Fils de l'homme paraîtra dans le ciel, toutes les tribus de la terre se lamenteront, et elles verront le Fils de l'homme venant sur les nuées du ciel avec puissance et une grande gloire.

³⁰אז אות בן האדם יראה בשמים וספדו כל משפחות הארץ וראו את בן האדם בא עם ענני השמים בגבורה וכבוד רב׃

³¹And he shall send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

³¹Il enverra ses anges avec la trompette retentissante, et ils rassembleront ses élus des quatre vents, depuis une extrémité des cieux jusqu'à l'autre.

³¹וישלח את מלאכיו בקול שופר גדול ויקבצו את בחיריו מארבע הרוחות למקצה השמים ועד קצה השמים׃

³²Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh;

³²Instruisez-vous par une comparaison tirée du figuier. Dès que ses branches deviennent tendres, et que les feuilles poussent, vous connaissez que l'été est proche.

³²למדו נא את משל התאנה כאשר ירטב ענפה ופרחו עליה ידעתם כי קרוב הקיץ׃

³³even so ye also, when ye see all these things, know ye that he is nigh, [even] at the doors.

³³De même, quand vous verrez toutes ces choses, sachez que le Fils de l'homme est proche, à la porte.

³³כן גם אתם בראותכם את כל אלה דעו כי קרוב הוא לפתח׃

³⁴Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished.

³⁴Je vous le dis en vérité, cette génération ne passera point, que tout cela n'arrive.

³⁴אמן אמר אני לכם כי לא יעבר הדור הזה עד אשר יהיו כל אלה׃

³⁵Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

³⁵Le ciel et la terre passeront, mais mes paroles ne passeront point.

³⁵השמים והארץ יעברו ודברי לא יעברון׃

³⁶But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.

³⁶Pour ce qui est du jour et de l'heure, personne ne le sait, ni les anges des cieux, ni le Fils, mais le Père seul.

³⁶אך היום ההוא והשעה ההיא אין איש יודע אתה גם לא מלאכי השמים בלתי אבי לבדו׃

³⁷And as [were] the days of Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of man.

³⁷Ce qui arriva du temps de Noé arrivera de même à l'avènement du Fils de l'homme.

³⁷וכימי נח כן יהיה גם בואו של בן האדם׃

³⁸For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,

³⁸Car, dans les jours qui précédèrent le déluge, les hommes mangeaient et buvaient, se mariaient et mariaient leurs enfants, jusqu'au jour où Noé entra dans l'arche;

³⁸כי כאשר בימי המבול היו אכלים ושתים נשאים נשים ונתנים אתן לאנשים עד היום אשר בא נח אל התבה׃

³⁹and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.

³⁹et ils ne se doutèrent de rien, jusqu'à ce que le déluge vînt et les emportât tous: il en sera de même à l'avènement du Fils de l'homme.

³⁹ולא ידעו עד בוא המבול וישחת את כלם כן יהיה גם בואו של בן האדם׃

⁴⁰Then shall two man be in the field; one is taken, and one is left:

⁴⁰Alors, de deux hommes qui seront dans un champ, l'un sera pris et l'autre laissé;

⁴⁰אז יהיו שנים בשדה אחד יאסף ואחד יעזב׃

⁴¹two women [shall be] grinding at the mill; one is taken, and one is left.

⁴¹de deux femmes qui moudront à la meule, l'une sera prise et l'autre laissée.

⁴¹שתים טוחנות ברחים אחת תאסף ואחת תעזב׃

⁴²Watch therefore: for ye know not on what day your Lord cometh.

⁴²Veillez donc, puisque vous ne savez pas quel jour votre Seigneur viendra.

⁴²לכן שקדו כי אינכם יודעים באי זו שעה יבא אדניכם׃

⁴³But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken through.

⁴³Sachez-le bien, si le maître de la maison savait à quelle veille de la nuit le voleur doit venir, il veillerait et ne laisserait pas percer sa maison.

⁴³ואת זאת הבינו אשר לו ידע בעל הבית באי זו אשמורה יבא הגנב כי עתה שקד ולא הניח לחתר את ביתו׃

⁴⁴Therefore be ye also ready; for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh.

⁴⁴C'est pourquoi, vous aussi, tenez-vous prêts, car le Fils de l'homme viendra à l'heure où vous n'y penserez pas.

⁴⁴לכן היו נכונים גם אתם כי בשעה אשר לא תדמו יבוא בן האדם׃

⁴⁵Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season?

⁴⁵Quel est donc le serviteur fidèle et prudent, que son maître a établi sur ses gens, pour leur donner la nourriture au temps convenable?

⁴⁵מי הוא אפוא העבד הנאמן והנבון אשר הפקידו אדניו על בני ביתו לתת להם את אכלם בעתו׃

⁴⁶Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

⁴⁶Heureux ce serviteur, que son maître, à son arrivée, trouvera faisant ainsi!

⁴⁶אשרי העבד אשר אדניו בבואו ימצאהו עשה כן׃

⁴⁷Verily I say unto you, that he will set him over all that he hath.

⁴⁷Je vous le dis en vérité, il l'établira sur tous ses biens.

⁴⁷אמן אמר אני לכם כי יפקידהו על כל אשר לו׃

⁴⁸But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord tarrieth;

⁴⁸Mais, si c'est un méchant serviteur, qui dise en lui-même: Mon maître tarde à venir,

⁴⁸ואם העבד הרע יאמר בלבו בשש אדני לבוא׃

⁴⁹and shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and shall eat and drink with the drunken;

⁴⁹s'il se met à battre ses compagnons, s'il mange et boit avec les ivrognes,

⁴⁹ויחל להכות את חבריו ואכל ושתה עם הסובאים׃

⁵⁰the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he expecteth not, and in an hour when he knoweth not,

⁵⁰le maître de ce serviteur viendra le jour où il ne s'y attend pas et à l'heure qu'il ne connaît pas,

⁵⁰בוא יבוא אדני העבד ההוא ביום לא יצפה ובשעה לא ידע׃

⁵¹and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

⁵¹il le mettra en pièces, et lui donnera sa part avec les hypocrites: c'est là qu'il y aura des pleurs et des grincements de dents.

⁵¹וישסף אתו וישים את חלקו עם החנפים שם תהיה היללה וחרק השנים׃
