¹Now late on the sabbath day, as it began to dawn toward the first [day] of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

¹Après le sabbat, à l'aube du premier jour de la semaine, Marie de Magdala et l'autre Marie allèrent voir le sépulcre.

¹ואחרי מוצאי השבת כשהאיר לאחד בשבת באה מרים המגדלית ומרים האחרת לראות את הקבר׃

²And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it.

²Et voici, il y eut un grand tremblement de terre; car un ange du Seigneur descendit du ciel, vint rouler la pierre, et s'assit dessus.

²והנה רעש גדול היה כי מלאך יהוה ירד מן השמים ויגש ויגל את האבן מן הפתח וישב עליה׃

³His appearance was as lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

³Son aspect était comme l'éclair, et son vêtement blanc comme la neige.

³ויהי מראהו כברק ולבושו לבן כשלג׃

⁴and for fear of him the watchers did quake, and became as dead men.

⁴Les gardes tremblèrent de peur, et devinrent comme morts.

⁴ומפחדו נבהלו השמרים ויהיו כמתים׃

⁵And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye; for I know that ye seek Jesus, who hath been crucified.

⁵Mais l'ange prit la parole, et dit aux femmes: Pour vous, ne craignez pas; car je sais que vous cherchez Jésus qui a été crucifié.

⁵ויען המלאך ויאמר אל הנשים אתן אל תיראן הן ידעתי כי את ישוע הנצלב אתן מבקשות׃

⁶He is not here; for he is risen, even as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

⁶Il n'est point ici; il est ressuscité, comme il l'avait dit. Venez, voyez le lieu où il était couché,

⁶איננו פה כי קם כאשר אמר באנה ראינה את המקום אשר שכב שם האדון׃

⁷And go quickly, and tell his disciples, He is risen from the dead; and lo, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

⁷et allez promptement dire à ses disciples qu'il est ressuscité des morts. Et voici, il vous précède en Galilée: c'est là que vous le verrez. Voici, je vous l'ai dit.

⁷ומהרתן ללכת ואמרתן אל תלמידיו כי קם מן המתים והנה הוא הולך לפניכם הגלילה ושם תראהו הנה אמרתי לכן׃

⁸And they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word.

⁸Elles s'éloignèrent promptement du sépulcre, avec crainte et avec une grande joie, et elles coururent porter la nouvelle aux disciples.

⁸ותמהרנה לצאת מן הקבר ביראה ובשמחה גדולה ותרצנה להגיד לתלמידיו׃

⁹And behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and took hold of his feet, and worshipped him.

⁹Et voici, Jésus vint à leur rencontre, et dit: Je vous salue. Elles s'approchèrent pour saisir ses pieds, et elles se prosternèrent devant lui.

⁹הנה הלכות להגיד לתלמידיו והנה ישוע נקרה אליהן ויאמר שלום לכן ותגשנה ותאחזנה ברגליו ותשתחוין לו׃

¹⁰Then saith Jesus unto them, Fear not: go tell my brethren that they depart into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

¹⁰Alors Jésus leur dit: Ne craignez pas; allez dire à mes frères de se rendre en Galilée: c'est là qu'ils me verront.

¹⁰ויאמר אליהן ישוע אל תיראן לכנה והגדן לאחי וילכו הגלילה ושם יראוני׃

¹¹Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city, and told unto the chief priests all the things that were come to pass.

¹¹Pendant qu'elles étaient en chemin, quelques hommes de la garde entrèrent dans la ville, et annoncèrent aux principaux sacrificateurs tout ce qui était arrivé.

¹¹ויהי בלכתן והנה אנשים מן המשמר באו העירה ויגידו לראשי הכהנים את כל הנעשה׃

¹²And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave much money unto the soldiers,

¹²Ceux-ci, après s'être assemblés avec les anciens et avoir tenu conseil, donnèrent aux soldats une forte somme d'argent,

¹²ויקהלו עם הזקנים ויתיעצו ויתנו כסף לרב אל אנשי הצבא לאמר׃

¹³saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.

¹³en disant: Dites: Ses disciples sont venus de nuit le dérober, pendant que nous dormions.

¹³אמרו כי באו תלמידיו לילה ויגנבו אותו בהיותנו ישנים׃

¹⁴And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and rid you of care.

¹⁴Et si le gouverneur l'apprend, nous l'apaiserons, et nous vous tirerons de peine.

¹⁴ואם ישמע הדבר לפני ההגמון אנחנו נפיסהו והייתם בלי פחד׃

¹⁵So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying was spread abroad among the Jews, [and continueth] until this day.

¹⁵Les soldats prirent l'argent, et suivirent les instructions qui leur furent données. Et ce bruit s'est répandu parmi les Juifs, jusqu'à ce jour.

¹⁵ויקחו את הכסף ויעשו כאשר למדו ותצא השמועה הזאת בין היהודים עד היום הזה׃

¹⁶But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

¹⁶Les onze disciples allèrent en Galilée, sur la montagne que Jésus leur avait désignée.

¹⁶ועשתי עשר התלמידים הלכו הגלילה אל ההר אשר צום ישוע׃

¹⁷And when they saw him, they worshipped [him]; but some doubted.

¹⁷Quand ils le virent, ils se prosternèrent devant lui. Mais quelques-uns eurent des doutes.

¹⁷ויהי כראותם אתו וישתחוו לו ומקצתם נחלקו בלבם׃

¹⁸And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.

¹⁸Jésus, s'étant approché, leur parla ainsi: Tout pouvoir m'a été donné dans le ciel et sur la terre.

¹⁸ויגש ישוע וידבר אליהם לאמר נתן לי כל שלטן בשמים ובארץ׃

¹⁹Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:

¹⁹Allez, faites de toutes les nations des disciples, les baptisant au nom du Père, du Fils et du Saint-Esprit,

¹⁹לכו ועשו לתלמידים את כל הגוים וטבלתם אתם לשם האב והבן ורוח הקדש׃

²⁰teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

²⁰et enseignez-leur à observer tout ce que je vous ai prescrit. Et voici, je suis avec vous tous les jours, jusqu'à la fin du monde.

²⁰ולמדתם אתם לשמר את כל אשר צויתי אתכם והנה אנכי אתכם כל הימים עד קץ העולם אמן׃
